Small boat is the best boat

Started with being picked up at the airport and taken to our hotel for free. The next day they took us to 3 places in Sitka before boarding time. During the cruise we visited 3 unique towns with different activities in each. At sea we went places the big boats can’t go seeing whales, seals, seal lions and otters. The topper was the indigenous tribe of the area operated the cruise.

Going where the big boats can’t go. Only 1 shore excursion cost extra. Crew members were great.

This was a wilderness excursion every American should experience ... at least once.

Watching the bears catch salmon, Watching the Humpback whales feed, especially when they breached as a pod (3 times). Watching the bears fish for salmon. The spectacular views from on deck. The opportunities to photograph and video some of America's most wondrous sights and do them in perfect weather ... and in close proximity. Having guides with extensive, firsthand knowledge of the many sights and creatures. Having a captain who wouldn't compromise our experience, even when there was justification.

Incredible cruise to unique places

Seeing a new part of AK, watching bears fishing (some not so successfully), learning about the Tlingit culture, seeing glaciers calving, and watching whales. There were only 30 passengers on board due to a late cancellation, so our group of very friendly people melded quickly. It was nice visiting with different couples and singles at meals. Nd the meals were excellent, with nice choices available. Due to weather there were last minute itinerary changes, but we all applauded Captain Eric for avoiding a gale and still finding alternative adventures for us to enjoy.
