The Ocean Lovers is a 45-meter/148-foot-long liveaboard with 5 decks taking 32 guests on dive safaris in the Red Sea. The Ocean Lovers offers the chance to explore the famous Red Sea wrecks and reefs, including the Tiran diving area, composed of four main reefs that form an underwater bridge near the Gulf of Aqaba. Named after British cartographers (Jackson, Woodhouse, Thomas, and Gordon), these reefs are famous for their coral life and large pelagic fish. Expect a combination of wreck and reef diving, with the Northern Red Sea boasting impressive wrecks like the SS Thistlegorm. Other sites include Abu Nuhas, the "Ships Graveyard," and the Brothers Islands, with their thriving marine life and colorful corals. Anticipate encounters with reef sharks, eagle rays, oceanic white tip sharks, Napoleon fish, thresher sharks, hammerhead sharks, grey reef sharks, and more.

My best liveaboard experience so far!
We have opted for the Brothers, Daedalus, Elphinstone itinerary as we have both done the northern wrecks and reefs previously with a different operator. Both myself and my partner have been on diving liveaboard holidays previously, but this one was certainly a cut above the rest. The crew and in particular our trip manager and dive guide Zizo were very friendly and helpful. The dive sites they took us to were great and we had numerous sightings and close encounters with hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, octopuses, lobsters, crabs etc. I would recommend the southern itinerary for those primarily interested in reefs and marine life. We have also dived the Salem Express and another wreck just outside of Hurghada, but if you really like your wrecks, you may want to opt for the Northern wrecks and reefs itinerary, which offers access to more and better wrecks. The boat has been very recently renovated and everything feels virtually brand new. It has a membrane compressor delivering nitrox and we were able to opt for manifolded twinsets, which we really appreciated. Overall, I would highly recommend Ocean Lovers.
