Highlights
The s/v Noorderlicht is a 46m 2-masted schooner offering exciting adventure cruises to the east of Greenland and the west coast of Spitzbergen all year round. Built in 1910, she is now perfectly suited to explore the Arctic. The SV Noorderlicht caters to just 20 passengers in 10 twin-bunk cabins. Each cabin has storage space, a washbasin with hot & cold water, and shared bathroom facilities conveniently located on the cabin deck. As can be expected of a historic sailing vessel, the SV Noorderlicht is cozy yet basic, with an indoor bar, lounge and dining area, and deck space, a great spot for whale watching and taking in the spectacular views.
The experienced crew of the S/V Noorderlicht is on hand to help make your trip an unforgettable journey for whale watching, seeing the Aurora Borealis, ski-mountaineering at the Alpine Peaks of Spitsbergen, and snowshoeing in North Spitsbergen for the Arctic Spring or Autumn. Wildlife highlights include seeing Polar bears, Arctic foxes, reindeer, Seals, Walrus, Arctic terns, and many more.
