The Fernão de Magalhães is a 75-meter-long, 11.4-meter-wide standard-class river ship accommodating up to 138 passengers in 71 comfortable cabins spread across three decks. Cabins range from 11 to 14 m² and feature large panoramic or sliding window views, air conditioning, private bathrooms, safes, TVs, and Wi-Fi. A handful of upper-deck cabins even offer private terraces, making them ideal for taking in the Douro River scenery.

The second itinerary ventures farther with an extended trip from Porto into Spain, visiting Salamanca via Vega de Terrón, while stopping at Ferradosa and Pinhão.
