The Explorer 2 Basilisk is a 27.2-meter/98-foot liveaboard in Seychelles. Built in 2004 and refurbished in 2019, it carries 6 people in 3 air-conditioned cabins with big windows, ensuite bathrooms with showers, and storage space. The spacious salon and fly decks provide room for relaxation between dives. Additionally, it is equipped with 2 tenders to carry divers to the dive sites and back. The Explorer 2 Basilisk is environmentally conscious by using fuel efficiently, a solar electrical system, an anaerobic black water treatment plant, and other efficiency features. Sailing from Mahé, the Explorer 2 Basilisk takes guests to some of the most beautiful atolls in the world, such as Poivre, Saint Joseph, Rémire, Afrikan Banks, and D’Arros. Sailing at nighttime ensures maximized diving opportunities during the day. Access to this protected and highly regulated area is extremely limited as some sites are UNESCO World Heritage Sites! There is unparalleled biodiversity in the coral reefs and lagoons. The last dive of the day typically plunges no deeper than 12 meters for safety purposes, while night moorings occur in tranquil waters.
