The M/V Janssonius Antarctica small cruise ship was newly built in 2021 and was designed and built with polar region tours specifically in mind. It has 80 modern cabins with 8 different cabin types, the Janssonius can accommodate a maximum of 170 passengers. All cabins have private bathroom facilities.
The Janssonius Antarctica offers lots of space for guests to relax and enjoy the amazing Antarctica scenery whilst being kept comfortable onboard. Deck 4 of the ship has a large dining room with a hot & cold buffet area, whilst on deck 5 there is a large lounge area with great views of the spectacular scenery, a TV area, Bar & Coffee station. There is also a library and a large lecture room on this deck for guests to use.
Antarctica cruise itineraries on m/v Janssonius are varied with the main focus being on exploration, outdoor activities, and wildlife the ship has a fleet of zodiac boats that can transit guests to shore and participate in various scenic tours. Some of these include visiting South Georgia and the Falkland Islands, Whale watching, spotting thousands of Penguins, and marveling at the spectacular ice formations.
