The Ocean Sherpa is a 34.5-meter topsail schooner welcoming up to 12 guests in 6 practical two-berth cabins. Each cabin is centrally heated and features a private shower, wash basin, porthole, European 220V sockets, towels, and bed linen. Built with a reinforced steel hull and prepared for ice operations, this Dutch-flagged expedition yacht combines traditional sailing character with modern safety standards, including SOLAS classification, Inmarsat and Iridium connections, a water maker, and professional Arctic expedition equipment.
Social areas aboard the Ocean Sherpa include a panoramic saloon with dining space for 12 guests, a bar with beer tap, wine, and spirits, a lounge with books, board games, and a flatscreen for presentations. The deck offers several seating areas, semi-enclosed lounge spaces, an enclosed heated deck tent for sheltered relaxation or al fresco dining, an accessible crow’s nest for photography, and a jib net for close-to-the-water wildlife viewing. Meals are prepared by professional onboard chefs in a fully equipped galley, with fresh, nutritious cuisine served in a relaxed expedition atmosphere.
Ocean Sherpa operates small-scale sailing expeditions in remote Arctic regions, including Norway, Svalbard, and Greenland. Itineraries include ski-and-sail adventures in the Lyngen Alps and Loppa, whale and northern lights cruises from Tromsø, Svalbard summer expeditions, private charters, and photography-focused voyages. Equipped with expedition Zodiacs, dry ski storage, and a separate cabin for an expedition leader or guide, the Ocean Sherpa is designed as a low-impact sailing basecamp for wildlife watching, shore landings, backcountry skiing, and tailor-made Arctic exploration.
