Excellent crew and diving
Fully equipped diving ship with experienced captain and crew. Fun crew can host any level of diver. Safety is the top priority with this company so no need to worry about weather and water current risks. They'll combine diving experience, weather/current risks and build a plan for the week to maximize sights and safety for the guests. Food is always a risk on a liveaboard, but their Chef Austin and the crew do an excellent job accounting for allergies, variety and quality of the meals. We were never hungry and very satisfied with the food. Great salads, meats and carbs to offset energy spent during the day with amazing hot snack-time dishes in between. Diving highlights were snorkeling with wild dolphins near West Caicos and the night dive on French Cay where Nurse Sharks are naturally feeding at night around their breeding ground. Amazingly large and calm barracuda on DD and GS dive sites as well. One note about the boat, it's stabilizers on the keel cause the boat to swing in a arc'd figure 8(think of a C-curved figure-8) centered around the mooring point. The crew draws this out for you ahead of time but it will surprise you how much the boat moves. Be patient and calm when doing safety stops and the divemasters on the dive are nearly always tracking the boat if you can't see it.

Amazing Crew!
T&C has good weather and good diving. What makes this trip a must is the amazing crew on the T&C Explorer. Every one of them bends over backwards to make sure all guest have a good experience, all the while maintaining good humor and a fun attitude. The dive briefings were some of the best I've seen in 12 years of diving. Not only were we briefed on topography, navigation and currents, but each briefing had a deep dive (no pun intended) into a particular fish or critter found in T&C. I learned so many new things about fish I've been looking at for years. The dive guides are extremely knowledgable about the local fish and are happy to nerd out over a fish ID book during the surface intervals or after we're done diving for the day. It's worth noting that each buddy team has a choice to follow the guide or dive their own plan. This was somewhat unusual to me, but I appreciated the freedom for our small group to break away and look for critters on our own. The boat itself is quite spacious with lots of places guests can enjoy the sun or shade. The bunk rooms were small but comfortable. The food was very good. I would go diving with T&C explorer again in a heartbeat.

Everything was great!
I was very happy when I saw my cabin with two single beds and bathroom. Comparing to other boats, I felt it much bigger and comfortable. We did 5 dives a day everyday and one of the night dives was awesome with a lot of sharks. Food and drinks are all included and all the meals are delicious. The crews are very friendly and helpful. They are very hard workers to make our stay comfortable. Overall, the boat experience was wonderful!

Great trip, really a fun crew with lots of dives.
Really enjoyed the walls we dove on this trip, great sites! Dive guides were great and Jo was really fun with her costumes and edutainment regrading our dives. Chef Stan prepared snacks and meals that everyone loved and kept our energy up for the dives. Really nice not to need to set up dive gear for each dive. Simply unhook your reg and they fill your tank. Fun trip with great dives!

This was an amazing experience.
I did 27 dives in 5 and a half days. The night and dawn dives were fantastic. "Flying" on the stern ropes was really fun, ok, I should have been practicing safety stop hovering instead. The camaraderie of the guests and crew was really special.

Another awesome trip aboard the Turks and Caicos Explorer!
The crew immediately made us feel like family. I am still in touch with many of the passengers from the trip. Dinner was especially fun with the passengers sharing stories of diving, sailing, and of course how they met their better half!
