Okyanus JD liveaboard in Turkey is a 28mtr/91ft long traditional style Turkish motor sailing yacht which operates in the popular Marmaris area. It has 6 air-conditioned, ensuite cabins which can accommodate up to 12 guests and consist of 2 double bed cabins and 4 double/twin bed cabin options located on the lower deck along with a seating area and bar. The upper deck has a shaded seating and dining area to the rear of the boat for guests to relax between dives and enjoy meals prepared onboard. The top deck area has multiple spaces with comfortable mattresses perfect for sunbathing. This is also where guests can take part in organized daily Yoga classes.
MSY Okyanus JD is based around Marmaris and offers 7-night itineraries to the dive sites found around the coast nearby. A typical dive cruise itinerary will sail to dive sites around Bozburun, Aktur and Datça and typically offer 2 dives per day. If you are a shipwreck fan, Okyanus JD offers a special wreck diving itinerary around the coastal areas of Bodrum with its own underwater museum. Beneath the surface, Turkey is well known for its interesting formations with caves and drop-offs accompanied by good visibility. It’s also possible to see marine life such as turtles, octopuses, barracuda, morays and lobsters. There are also opportunities to snorkel, go stand up paddle boarding, go hiking or visit local towns/cities along the way.

Surprisingly lovely smaller liveaboard experience with great crew, delicious food, and calm water
The boat is perfectly designed for 12 divers + 2 guides: scuba tanks are filled in place via an extra port without removing your regulator. Though the water was cold (min of 16 or 17 degrees C at depth), we saw many beautiful creatures, several schools of fish, and ancient amphora. Food was delicious at breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner, and the crew were excellent, especially Ahmet. Our cabin bathroom was spacious with plentiful hot water. Nice itinerary - overall very relaxing.

Diving in the clear waters of the Aegean and Mediterranean, with antiquities and sunken wrecks a plenty made this trip so memorable

- The Okyanus welcomes you like no other live aboard around. First, it is a beautiful 24m wooden ketch. It is warm and quiet and comfortable as well as just plane beautiful as only a wooden boat can be. Ahmet brings confidence patience and skill to each dive, and for us, everyone on board, crew and participants alike became friends on our journey

We will be back!!
We really enjoyed everything from the moment we got in board to the moment we left. We had a small group which was very relaxed. Felt very welcomed by the captain and his crew and had an amazing diving experience. The only thing that was hard, besides leaving, were the mattresses, but we got used to those after a few nights…

A great expereince, chilled out but never boring and stunning scenery
What more could you ask for – Ahmet has created a truly special experience, from the diving, delicious food, yoga on deck, sleeping under the stars. The area is stunning, and as well as some great diving getting to swim in the crystal clear water is an unforgettable experience. The crew work incredibly hard and look after everything beautifully. Delicious food at the (many) meal times you’ll never be hungry, everything has been thought of. All the dives are well planned and went super smoothly, and there is also plenty of relaxation time to watch the sea go past, admire the sunset and look out for friendly turtles. Would definitely recommend booking your next trip on Okyanus – thank you Ahmet and crew 😊

Relax and enjoy
Atmosphere on boat was very cozy, we were a small group (6 tourists + 4 crew).We will dream of absolutely delicious food for a long time to come.Since we spent a few days in Turkey after the liveaboard, we were also provided with some tips for possible activities.The diving was nice and there was always something to discover. Nevertheless, the different dive sites were very similar.Ahmet was very eager to show us interesting things.It was a pity that we never had the opportunity to sail.
