SY The Junk is a unique historical vessel offering year-round diving in Thailand. She caters to 18 divers in 6 double/twin, triple, or quad cabins. All cabins are on the lower deck, with individually controlled AC and private en-suite bathrooms. The air-conditioned saloon is fully equipped with an entertainment system and is a great relaxing place. Alternatively, the spacious outdoor shaded deck or the loungers and bean bags on the top sundeck offer amazing views. Aboard The Junk, the chefs serve delicious meals and snacks 5 times daily, including 2x breakfast, ensuring you will never feel hungry. This 33m authentic wooden sailing vessel has her own claim to fame and has been used in several films, including James Bond’s ‘The Man With The Golden Gun’ and the "Swiss Family Robinson."
The Junk offers diving liveaboard trips all year round and is a fantastic choice for exploring the best dive sites of the Thai Andaman Sea, the Similan and Surin Islands, and Southern Phuket: Koh Phi Phi and King Cruiser. The expansive dive deck has room for individual gear storage, large freshwater rinse tanks, and dedicated camera stations.

Absolutely perfect
It was a perfect vacation. The cabins are comfortable, the boat was beautiful, the food was authentic and delicious. It was the crew that made the experience perfect. Everyone was kind, professional, enthusiastic. You can tell they enjoy and take pride in their work. They want to share these dive sites and make the trip a positive and enjoyable one. No amount of atmosphere can make up for what a dedicated and invested staff brings to the experience and they are what made my vacation so wonderful. I am so very grateful for them

Excellent Liveaboard with Great Diving
Had a great time this past week aboard the Junk, they have a fantastic crew that makes your life easy! You really don’t have to worry about anything besides staying hydrated and enjoying your dives. Crew helps you from the moment you step on the dock, taking all luggage, helping you on and off the boat, refilling tanks between dives, helping you out of wetsuits, getting you in and out of the dingys, they truly make everything easy for you which helps enjoy the diving and the trip even more. The dives themselves are at beautiful sites, with great coral and interesting things to see. We didn’t get the luckiest on seeing “big stuff” on my trip, but macro lovers were thrilled on every dive. None of the dives were difficult, any diver could enjoy them. Highly recommend anyone visiting Phuket dives with the Junk!

Wish the trip wouldn’t end
Engaging with people from many countries, we all spoke the same language underwater! Richelieu Rock is a must see. Overall, just wish it had been a few days longer!

Fabulous!
-The wall dive along coral with an abundance of tropical life. -Mantas! -Being surrounded by sea life.

- -I was a new diver so the Junk’s dive master took the two of us under his wing. I was truly spoiled. I learned so much from the dive master. The other dive guides were equally amazing. The staff made sure I was properly suited up before each dive. And the food was phenomenal. The kitchen crew were incredible. It was the people that made the trip so memorable.

Phenomenal dives and tasty food - not a bad way to spend 7 days!
Brian is a great crew lead, our entire boat had really talented dive guides (Ayako, Steph, Jai, Brian), the chef/housekeeping team was an all-star duo, and the rest of the boat crew was very helpful. Overall, highly recommend this 7 day trip!

Great experience!
This was my first liveaboard and I would highly recommend it. The staff take good care of us, the boat is beautiful, the deck is great for sunbathing and naps between dives
