The Junk is a historic liveaboard that offers a unique experience, combining the charm of a traditional wooden ship with modern comforts, while taking divers on adventures around the Similan and Surin Islands. The Junk accommodates 18 divers in 6 fully air-conditioned cabins, each with an en-suite bathroom and hot shower. Choose from private, three-berth, or four-berth cabins to suit your preferences. The boat has a shaded dive deck, personal set-up areas, and the option for Nitrox diving.
This 33-meter authentic wooden sailing vessel has its claim to fame: It has been used in several films, including James Bond’s “The Man With The Golden Gun” and "Swiss Family Robinson."

Excellent experience in every way!
We loved our time on the Junk; the dive operations were excellent (organization/logistics, safety etc), the planning was great, the food was awesome, yes, all good. The boat didn't have a ton of different areas to hang out, so it's definitely extravert territory, but all in all it was a very positive experience.

Best Dive Trip!
I absolutely LOVED my time aboard the Junk! Great value for the money with incredible food, crew members, and facilities. Each room has an en suite bathroom with comfortable beds. There is a sun deck with very comfy seating and lots of spaces to relax. The food was the best I had throughout all of Thailand and made the diving even that much better! 100% would recommend.

Relaxing diving trip
I enjoyed almost every diving sites. It was an enjoyable and relaxing trip. The boat was a little bit old and needs some upgrades, but it was nice and big enough to give me a stable and romantic experience.

Awesome Liveaboard Trip on The Junk!
Just got back from the most amazing liveaboard trip on The Junk, and I have to share how awesome it was! From the moment we stepped on board, we felt right at home thanks to the friendly crew who were super welcoming. Seriously, the crew was fantastic! They were always around to help with our dive gear, answer questions, and just make sure we were having the best time. Their laid-back vibe made everything feel so relaxed and enjoyable. Let’s talk about the food—wow! Every meal was a treat. We had everything from fresh seafood to local dishes, and it was all so delicious. It was the perfect way to refuel after a day of diving. Plus, sharing meals with everyone on board was a great way to bond and swap stories. Our dive guide was a rock star! Super knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the underwater world, they made sure we were all comfortable and safe while exploring. Each dive was well-planned, and the sites were absolutely stunning. The vibe on The Junk was just perfect. It was super chill and friendly, which made it easy to connect with other guests. Whether we were lounging on the deck, enjoying a drink under the stars, or diving in the beautiful waters, every moment felt special. Overall, my trip on The Junk was an unforgettable adventure filled with great service, tasty food, and an awesome atmosphere. If you’re looking for a unique experience, I can’t recommend this enough. Great experience, very nice route! The crew took very good care of us. The dives were planned really well, and we enjoyed ourselves a lot! It was also cool to be on the boat with so much history 😊

Fantastic experience that lived up to all expectations both above and under water.
Highlights have to be the three dives on the Western Ridge where we saw oceanic mantas on all three occasions and the three dives on Richelieu Rock where the diversity and condition of marine and coral life is simply mind boggling. They are unforgettable life changing experiences that we’re privileged to have.
