Manta Queen 2 - great trip
Thanks to the whole Manta Queen 2 crew and the other divers. I had the best time and wish we could stay longer on the boat together 🥲🤙🏼 Everyone is super helpful and the other divers were of mixed nationalities and different ages - but a lot of young people. Diving of course is amazing too, in small groups (2 - 4 divers per guide) and we could see many great things! Special thanks to Naido for being a great dive guide and for the smooth running of the trip 🤗 If you wanna have a great time under- and and over the water, book Manta Queen 2!

Fantastic dives sites, great crew, would do again
My liveaboard experience on the Manta Queen 2 was excellent, very professional crew and incredible dive sites. The hotel transfer service was a convenient way to start the trip. Big shoutout to the dive crew who helped put us in and out of the water all trip, as well as the chefs on board who kept a steady flow of Thai food flowing between dives. Dive instructors were knowledgeable and professional, I felt like they were willing to work with us to make sure we were seeing what we wanted to see on each dive, etc. Would definitely book again.

Great destination and exceptionally organized team
Lots of diving - 4 times a day for me as a newbie was intense, but manageable. We wormed up at Koh Bon, went to Koh Tachai, Richeliue Rock, and did 2 wreck dives at the end - 11 dives in total. Was impressed by the abundance of life at Richeliue. Surprised by water temperature reaching 29-30°C.

Great Vibes and Dives with Woody and Elsa
As a dive instructor myself, I've met many instructors so far and I have used many diving operators while traveling around the world. But the experience I had with the instructors at Manta Queen 2, especially Woody and Elsa, was something that really stood out to me—there was so much to learn and appreciate. Let’s be real: life as a dive instructor isn’t exactly a walk in the park. Over the years, I’ve witnessed many instructors, myself included, burn out or get exhausted, so seeing Woody and Elsa truly enjoying their work was a breath of fresh air. I was honestly impressed by how much they loved what they do—it’s rare and inspiring. Great diving always starts with a clear, concise briefing, and Woody’s briefings were next-level. I used to think I was the king of dive briefings, but Woody’s were on a whole different plane. I’ve always believed that dive instructors need to be entertainers, making sure the guests and students are enjoying themselves, and Woody nailed this perfectly. As a fellow instructor, I couldn’t help but envy him. Even in the short time we spent together, I did my best to observe and absorb everything he did. What I found especially admirable was how Woody didn’t shy away from tasks that senior instructors usually don't do and don't like to do. Whether it was taking charge of a group of divers who needed more care and attention, checking dive sites first personally instead of assigning other young instructors, or doing the "little" tasks like ringing the bell to announce meal times, playing music during surface intervals, or taking photos and sharing them with guests at the end of the trip—Woody truly embodied what it means to lead by example. Honestly, where else would you find a senior instructor like that? I don’t know where I’ll end up working again, but I’ll certainly strive to be more like Woody. A big shout-out to Elsa, too, who guided my wife and me through some amazing dives. While my wife and I have done our fair share of dives and didn’t need much attention, Elsa went above and beyond to ensure our dives were safe, comfortable, and enjoyable. We were seriously impressed with her care and attention. And if there’s such a thing as “luck in diving,” Elsa definitely had it—every dive felt like a fish frenzy, with schools of fish everywhere. This was my first live aboard dive experience, and if Woody and Elsa are involved, I’d definitely come back for more. Can’t wait for the next adventure!
