Great experience.

Watching the entire crew work as a team. Well done. The dive crew in particular were. Amazing. The experience on Richelieu Rock probably being the most memorable overall. I loved having a massage on deck on this wonderful boat, and in the company of Charlee.

Incredible

The whole trip was outstanding! The food was incredible. Each meal was prepared from scratch each day and it was obvious that every ingredient was fresh and top quality. The beds were a little hard for me, but it didn't diminish my ability to rest each night. And the DIVING!!! Each dive was outstanding. Our dive guide, Caro, obviously knew the area well and made the trip easy to enjoy. As for the boat, it's obviously loved and well-maintained. I would definitely do this trip again.

One of a kind !

It was our first liveaboard experience and it exceeded all our expectations! The plethora of marine life, large and small were spectacular, and Richelieu Rock was definitely the jewel in the crown for this trip!

Very disappointing.

It seems the coral in the Andaman sea was massively destroyed by a water heat wave in 2010. What is left has nothing to do with what is advertized. The divemasters I dove with (Alwin and Fumiko) were good and did their best to make our dives interesting. But the poor marine life did not facilitate their work. In fact, many divers on the boat skipped several dives out of frustration - because there was so little to see. The departing/returning harbour was not the one indicated on Liveabord.com, resulting in a 90+ minute drive to get there (many divers had chosen a hotel in Phuket - thinking it woul be a 15-20 min drive to get to/back from the boat). The gear for the sails was broken, so sails were never taken out - which killed the experience many were looking for. Cabins were OK and common areas always kept clean. The food was excellent. Every dish was tasteful, well presented and delivered on time with a smile. So, overall, this trip was very dissapointing and a huge misrepresentation of the "great diving from a sail boat" I paid for - and flew a great distance to get.

1) The food; 2) The limited number of guests - 11 divers; and 3) The divemasters.

Incredibly accomodating and friendly liveaboard

The diva Andaman is a gorgeous sailing boat that is comfortable and peaceful. Unfortunately, I went when the sail were not installed and did not see the boat once operating with the sails. I have chosen the Diva Andaman for sailing too and was a bit frustrated to not see the sails. The quality of the stay and the friendliness of the team made it up for it. Diving crew is extremely professional and was looking every time for the best diving option even though we had some wind and some sites were inaccessible. Highly recommended!

Amazing boat and crew, very relaxed and beautiful setting for a diving vacation!

The moment I saw the wooden boat I knew I'd love it. Colour of the natural wood was shinning under the sunset lighting, just beautiful. I got to learn a bit about maintainance of the boat while on board, really respect the amount of works and effort they put into it. Despite a bit mechanical issues during the trip, all crew worked very hard and to solve the problems, for me it really hardly affected anything. It is super comfortable and spacious, lots of room to hang, chill, read or do some yoga moves if you are like me and can't stay still. The diving in the Similans were nice, definitely not the best I've ever had (I'm a spoiled diver) but still enjoyed all the dives! It was sad to see some of the reefs being dead and really makes you wonder on what time scale it happened. Did not see whale shark but it's just wildlife and nature. The dive guides on board were super experienced with the area, AND more importantly, they really try to make the dives as great as possible, always finding things to show you, know the dive site inside out (literally, with all the swim throughs). Diving was made very easy, crew help you with all the equipments and the Dingy picks you up -- there were a few times it took a bit too long waiting for the Dingy on the surface, so could've been improved, but mainly I think it was because one of the two dingy was down and being repaired. The food was awesome, it takes strategy to not to overeat, especially before the dives. The boat is very well prepared for the divers, with vitamins, bug spray, aloe, all the shower stuffs, med kits and safety kits are all well maintained and stored onboard. I brought a lot of the things myself but really turned out unnecessary on Diva!
