The MV Bavaria liveaboard offers fantastic dive trips in the Andaman Sea, Thailand. The yacht can accommodate 24 guests in 12 cabins, each with individually controlled AC. The 8 comfort and 2 deluxe cabins come with a private ensuite bathroom and the 2 standard cabins share a bathroom. Social areas include an indoor salon with an entertainment system, an outdoor lounge and dining area plus a sun-deck with loungers and a shaded area.

MV Bavaria runs 3, 4, or 6-night itineraries to some of the best liveaboard dive sites in Thailand and Myanmar departures run from October - May each year. Explore the Similans, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock & Surin. Dive facilities include a spacious dive platform and equipment area and nitrox is available for an additional cost for those certified. Excellent Andaman Sea trip!
Solo American on a six day Andaman trip in Dec 2025. 3 day dives and 1 night dive daily, +2 on last day. Wonderful German/Thai crew (Toun is a fantastic guide). Big clean boat. Healthy reefs, insane fish variety, lots of big/small creatures. Perfect weather. Lots of great food. Great overall value.

Great liveaboard experience
Professional crew, comfortable boat and tasty food. We had a room with two beds and private bathroom. The rooms were small but clean and the beds were good. Our dive master Tasja was professional and really made an effort is finding the smaller underwater creatures, which was great. The Liveaboard that Loma Diving runs does a full route (itinerary C) and you can also do either the first part (itinerary A) or the second part (itinerary B). We did Itinerary B and I highly recommend that route because it includes the dive sport Richelieu Rock, which was at another level compared to the other spots. A big speedboat brought us from the mainland to the liveaboard boat. The ocean was calm and the speedboat trips was therefore fine. When you go diving smaller 'dinghy' boats drop you off and pick you up. Which is great and more safe for the divers. Diving in the Similan Islands and specifically Richelieu Rock has been the best that I have experienced in Thailand. Our trip was mid-March and visibility was pretty good (30-40m) and Richelieu Rock was an explosion of underwater life (both fish and soft coral). We have had a lovely trip and I would recommend a liveaboard with Loma Diving to friend and family any day.

Fab trip on Bavaria to Similan & Surin Islands
The dive sites were very well populated with marine life and corals. The boat itself wasn’t the most spacious but more than enough space with a great dive deck and sun lounge and eating areas.

I was the odd man out of my German speaking group and that only made me more popular with my fellow divers. I had a blast following my camera buddies underwater and having them point me towards every lady nudibranch in Thailand. The crew on Bavaria was incredible, it was essentially a resort at sea. Laid back holidays with flexible organisation, friendly staff and knowledgeable crew, and a lot of mantas
Relaxing six days on Bavaria, although we packed in four dives a day, including sunset or night dives. I appreciated the passion of the dive guides for their trade, the simple but good Thai food (plus Wiener Schnitzel), the helpful staff, the optional outdoors sleep overnight. I loved the smaller dive sites around the Similan Islands for their tranquility and occasional big finds, but of course it is difficult to override Cousteau's Richelieu Rock, and Koh Bon.

Fantastic diving experience in Thailand
We had 3 wonderful days on the boat (Trip A) to the Similan Islands. This was our first time on Liveaboard and the first time we had 4 dives in one day. The crew and instructors were absolutely fantastic, skilled and professional - and contributed to a memorable diving experience. The food was very good and varied, and adapted well to allergies. Similans 4days/3nights 10 dives tour on MV Bavaria
Hearty welcome on our arrival. Boat was only booked by 9 people (capacity 22 guests), so there was plenty of space for everybody. There were 4 guides with us, so we had very small dive groups, that were rearranged a bit after first dive to give everyone a good experience. Food was very tasty and also a vegetarian option was offered. Cabin was small, but no need for more on a safari. I had a great time and will return when I book another safari in future.
