The MV Bavaria liveaboard offers fantastic dive trips in the Andaman Sea, Thailand. The yacht can accommodate 24 guests in 12 cabins, each with individually controlled AC. The 8 comfort and 2 deluxe cabins come with a private ensuite bathroom and the 2 standard cabins share a bathroom. Social areas include an indoor salon with an entertainment system, an outdoor lounge and dining area plus a sun-deck with loungers and a shaded area.

MV Bavaria runs 3, 4, or 6-night itineraries to some of the best liveaboard dive sites in Thailand and Myanmar departures run from October - May each year. Explore the Similans, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock & Surin. Dive facilities include a spacious dive platform and equipment area and nitrox is available for an additional cost for those certified. Amazing experience for our first live aboard trip!
We really enjoyed our first live aboard trip! The boat The Bavaria is perfect for diving and relaxing :) The tour was very well organized and we felt safe every minut. The boat is big with more relaxing areas which are perfect between dives. We were served delicious food and had water, soft drinks, electrolyte water easily and free available which helped us fast recovering after dives so we could perform all 10 dives in 3 days. Unfurtunately we had cold sea water with bad visibility which was unusual for the period, but everything else perfect!

Great liveaboard experience
Professional crew, comfortable boat and tasty food. We had a room with two beds and private bathroom. The rooms were small but clean and the beds were good. Our dive master Tasja was professional and really made an effort is finding the smaller underwater creatures, which was great. The Liveaboard that Loma Diving runs does a full route (itinerary C) and you can also do either the first part (itinerary A) or the second part (itinerary B). We did Itinerary B and I highly recommend that route because it includes the dive sport Richelieu Rock, which was at another level compared to the other spots. A big speedboat brought us from the mainland to the liveaboard boat. The ocean was calm and the speedboat trips was therefore fine. When you go diving smaller 'dinghy' boats drop you off and pick you up. Which is great and more safe for the divers. Diving in the Similan Islands and specifically Richelieu Rock has been the best that I have experienced in Thailand. Our trip was mid-March and visibility was pretty good (30-40m) and Richelieu Rock was an explosion of underwater life (both fish and soft coral). We have had a lovely trip and I would recommend a liveaboard with Loma Diving to friend and family any day.

Excellent Andaman Sea trip!
Solo American on a six day Andaman trip in Dec 2025. 3 day dives and 1 night dive daily, +2 on last day. Wonderful German/Thai crew (Toun is a fantastic guide). Big clean boat. Healthy reefs, insane fish variety, lots of big/small creatures. Perfect weather. Lots of great food. Great overall value.

Very well cared for 1st liveaboard experience.
This was my first liveaboard and I loved it. Everything had been thought of. Unfortunately, you can't choose your roommate when traveling solo, but that doesn't detract from the rest of the experience. Highly recommended.

Just completed my 4 day 3 night stay on Bavaria. The crew were super friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The cabins and common area super comfortable, and everywhere spotless clean! The food was so incredible, so fresh and delicious and variety. Great diving in Thailand - good value.
Diving was super as expected. Boat was fine for what you pay. Not luxury but fine with aircon and ensuite shower. Setup was good. No camera table but otherwise all set. Service excellent. Food great and plentiful.

I was the odd man out of my German speaking group and that only made me more popular with my fellow divers. I had a blast following my camera buddies underwater and having them point me towards every lady nudibranch in Thailand. The crew on Bavaria was incredible, it was essentially a resort at sea. Fab trip on Bavaria to Similan & Surin Islands
The dive sites were very well populated with marine life and corals. The boat itself wasn’t the most spacious but more than enough space with a great dive deck and sun lounge and eating areas.

The overall package of this liveaboard was convincing
From the first welcome to the startle, everyone was super friendly, And always helpful. Every breafing was very well prepared and understandable. All communication on board was excellent. At the dive sites, almost one was more beautiful than the other and with Tasja as a guide, every dive was a great experience.

Our diver guide was lonely great, so attentive and calm in the water. The boat crew was always on hand to provide support, always plenty of helping hands in every situation. The food was always varied and mega delicious.

The Right Attitude
We took a short trip (3-4 days) as an intro to L/As for one of us, and re-intro for another. We also opted to “upgrade” our dive-certifications by taking a class from an instructor on-board. We appreciated the diving schedule which offered 4 dives plus snorkeling opportunities each day. This was welcome because it is easy to over-do it on a L/A. The crew was so incredibly kind, helpful, intuitive, efficient and experienced. Food was delicious and bountiful; not fancy-schmancy…just savory, diverse, fresh, wholesome goodness. We noticed right away that the Similan Islands have been well visited, and dived…but still saw many interesting critters. The dive masters were incredibly knowledgeable, and most important: patient. We came away feeling rewarded and completely satisfied with the experience, gained certification as ‘advanced’ open-water divers, had a great time, met many people from all-over the world, and would have no hesitation doing it all again.

A must do trip for keen divers.
Some of the best diving I have ever experienced. Richelieu Rocks were out of this world with huge shoals of GTs and other predatory fish hunting in packs. Quite a spectacle.
