Highlights
The Caribbean Explorer II liveaboard offers year-round diving at Saba and St. Kitts in the Northern Caribbean. With a blend of comfort and quality, she caters to 18 guests in 9 staterooms, each with either twin or double beds, private en-suite bathrooms, individually controlled AC, and storage space. Five cabins are located on the lower deck, and 4 cabins are on the main deck. On the upper deck is a partially enclosed dining room where guests enjoy gourmet cuisine and amazing views. There is also an air-conditioned salon with an entertainment system. The sun deck has loungers for relaxing between dives. The large dive platform at the back of the main deck is equipped with individual gear lockers, a large camera table with low-pressure air hoses, recharging stations, tank racks, a bathroom, and separate freshwater rinse baths for dive equipment and cameras.
Dive itineraries aboard the Caribbean Explorer II explore some of the best dive sites in the northern Caribbean. Known for its offshore pinnacles, deep underwater seamounts, finger reefs, recent wrecks, and various coral labyrinths, Saba and St. Kitts have a lot to offer divers underwater. Diving in Saba Marine Park mixes steep vertical walls and coral labyrinths. Expect to see reef sharks, turtles, rays, and more. Protected in 1987, Saba Marine Park encompasses the waters and seabed encircling the entire Caribbean island of Saba, ensuring the park's thriving aquatic life remains healthy. Diving in St Kitts is a diversity of wrecks, ancient relics, and bustling coral reefs. Some top dive sites here include the Wreck of the River Taw, Anchors Aweigh, and Paradise Reef. Divers can see various macro life, including frogfish and sea horses, as well as sharks, turtles, and octopuses. Night dives on the reefs are immensely active, followed by hot towels and cocoa.

In just a few days I was able to dive 26 times and each one was great.
From the moment I arrived on the boat until the day I left, I always felt that the crew had my safety as their top priority. They were incredibly attentive to everyone's needs, never made us feel rushed, and worked hard to ensure we had an enjoyable experience throughout the trip. The only minor challenge I encountered was getting back onto the boat after each dive. The boarding process wasn't the easiest, but I quickly adapted and it never took away from the overall experience. Overall, I had an amazing time and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the trip. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again—in fact, I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

A great time with pretty good diving!
I saw a seahorse for the first time (three actually), and I've done over a hundred dives, so that felt special. The food was abundant and delicious, and the chef always made sure there was a vegetarian option for me. The dive guides were personable and skilled, and worked to show us things we would enjoy!

Wonderful diving and crew
This was our third liveaboard and first where it was a week long, and we loved it. The dive spots were amazing, with tons of different life to see every dive (even big stuff like sharks, turtles, octopuses basically every dive), and the dive guides Robyn and Henry were wonderful. The boat is a bit older so the rooms can be snug, but they are comfortable with good AC. Just don't bring your entire wardrobe ;) We got pretty seasick on the first crossing from Saint Martin to Saba, but the rest of the voyage was calm. The rest of the crew were also great, especially Megan and Captain Rodney. The food was also very good and surprisingly diverse -- every meal, even the snacks, were different, thanks to Chef Julian. For non-Americans reading, be aware that there are mostly American guests aboard ;) I am used to a bit more diversity in divers but it was alright. 27 total possible dives, including night dives, all amazing locations. The land tour options were also nice but we skipped the Saba tour given that it seemed mostly shopping-related. Be aware that the add-ons do stack up, such as the fuel surcharge and other fees. Still a great value for money. Very well-organized and safe. Overall, we would definitely go on this liveaboard again and we are already looking up the other options in the rest of the fleet :)

It was a truly delightful trip in all respects!
Every day was very enjoyable with diverse dive sites, great food, and a superb attention to detail of every aspect of the voyage from each and every one of the crew member. All dives that I took on this trip were highlights because they were all beautiful, but different, and very safe and well-planned, plus the tour of the magnificent island of Saba, the feast on the locally caught mahi-mahi on Tuesday evening, and talks to Ernie, the captain who is an extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and amiable person.

Amazing
The crew was amazing. From captain, boat crew, cook (who has lamb for lunch), and dive guides. I completed my advanced open water and enrich air certification during the trip. There were only 5 of us on board which made the trip that much better. I can't imagine having 18 passengers and having to share a room. The rooms are small but I went for the diving. And I dove all 26 times. From being up close and personal with a dolphin, sea horse (which was my main objective), sharks, octopuses, turtles, rays, and much more it was truly an amazing trip. The wrecks and night dives were fantastic too. Having the people I was on the boat with made it that much more enjoyable. Everyone got along and we had a lot of fun together. Especially, the late nights having a drink or two and discussing the days adventure. It was just an amazing trip.

Superb diving in the Caribbean
Booking with liveaboard.com was easy and they took care of all communication with the dive boat operator. My husband and I chose explorer adventures because of the exciting opportunity to dive some of the best sites in St Kitts and Saba on a liveaboard. The conditions in December were remarkably good! We encountered numerous sharks, turtles, and lots of beautiful micro critters. The ship was comfortable and the dive staff and crew all prioritized safety.

Everything arranged to perfection to make the most of the trip
The boat staff was super attentive from before boarding until after disembarkation; They tried to meet all the needs of the passengers. I noticed concern for us to have the best possible experiences in diving and island hopping. I highly recommend it.
