A great option for lovers of adventure rather than luxury.

The 12 day trip took us to some beautiful marine habitats and coral canyons that were fun to explore. The dive briefings were excellent and allowed some flexibility. Most days 5 dives were offered and that was too intense for a long trip. I would have preferred to focus on iconic sites and have more recovery time. We had unseasonable wet windy weather and it was hard to warm up between dives as the cabin AC was cold and the indoor saloon layout made it hard to utilise all the seating. All dining and most recovery was on the covered deck, which could be windy. I was not the only one who caught a cold after the first week. We were unlucky with the weather and the crew were fabulous. The boat is basic and not especially comfortable, as is to be expected in this remote region. The bonus is that we never shared a dive site with another group and it felt like a real adventure with genuine interaction with locals supplying fresh food and selling carvings from their canoes.

The dive guides and crew. Great food. Great to see good quality coral and marine environments.

One of the most incredible trips ever taken.

We traveled to forty dive sites over 9 days that were among the most beautiful in the world. The Balikini is the only liveaboard with permission from island tribal leaders to dive in their waters. The coral reefs were unbelievable and protected because of limited access. The concern about protecting the reefs is notable and the beauty of the reefs is impressive because of the limited access by divers.
