The Sea Bird and Sea Star are sister ships offering fantastic dive and adventure cruises in Seychelles. Set sail on an adventure through the stunning Seychelles archipelago in the Indian Ocean aboard one of these beautiful traditional sailing vessels. The boats depart from Mahe for 7-night cruises around Praslin, La Digue, and the Sisters. Excellent snorkeling and diving opportunities await, as well as the chance to explore nature trails for bird-watching and local island visits to see mangroves, giant tortoises & historic ruins.

Both the Sea Bird and Sea Star liveaboard are custom-built sailing yachts with traditional hand-crafted furnishings. Cabins are air-conditioned with en-suite bathrooms, storage space, and double or triple arrangements. The air-conditioned Bar/Dining and Salon areas have a TV, DVD Player, stereo system, and a washer & dryer. There are also multiple sun decks for relaxation and a covered back deck lounge and seating area.

Tuesday was our best day.1st shore excursion to Cousin Island to observe these magnificent birds and the large land turtles;One of my best dives at Booby Island where we had the chance to swim among a multitude of whitetip sharks, manta rays, stingrays, eagle rays, turtles, moray eels, batfish and other schools of multicolored fish;Back on board where the crew prepared a delicious BBQ for us while we watched our first and splendid sunset.The crew listened and was always ready to please us, reference to the flambéed bananas :-)The BBQ organized on the beach at Curieuse Island.A visit to La Digue by bike to discover its magnificent beaches.The wise advice and humor of our super Captain for land excursions.The dives very well supervised with excellent briefings by our great dive guides.In short, a wonderful week in paradise as I imagined it, what esle ;-)Once again, a big thank you to the whole crew and we look forward to seeing you again xxxKris Bee

A fantastic week with easy diving in calm waters, fabulous island trekking, amazing food and a great smiling crew!
For a mixed vacation of easy diving and island trekking, this is perfect. The boat crew is so nice, and so helpful. Food on the boat was amazing. The islands of the Seychelles are a treat for visiting giant tortoises and various birds and native plants. The island treks and tours given by local guides were fascinating. The beaches are gorgeous. For serious divers, you may not find the Seychelles to be the best diving in the world, so research diving the Seychelles if you are going just for the diving.

Perfectly balanced trip
We loved this first Liveaboard experience in this archipelago of paradise islands. We were not in the best season for diving and despite everything, our guide was able to find some very nice dives. This is a perfect cruise for less experienced divers!

Excellent destination with knowledgable guides and staff made the trip most enjoyable.
Overall, the experience was excellent. The food was good and the cabins were good. The staff were excellent! They made the experience! The boat was not quite what i expected - I expected more outdoor living areas that were conducive to talking to people. The huge table at the back was a waste of good space. Also, there was no place to sit - other than on the mats, at the front. Not very comfortable.

Amazing trip and the best way to get around the Seychelles.
Snorkeling everyday. Bicycling around La Digue and spending the day there. Curieuse Island. All the great people we met.

The crew was very friendly and experienced. The food was outstanding and there was tonnes of food at each freshly cooked meal. Being able to easily hop to the different islands and not worrying about getting to each place as everything was included.

Fantastic. The crew is incredibly friendly and helpful. Food is insanely tasty and varied. Beautiful places. Even in the Windy season I would do it again. The dives were also fantastic although the visibility was not always good due to the wind. Hence the 4 instead of 5 stars

What were the highlights of your trip?Very friendly staff with overworked, good cook.Trip offered as a sailing adventure, but it was not sailed!!3 short motor trips with two small sails not "set" as an "alibi action" and that only after being asked to do so(!) are not sailing. The small space of the cabins expected on sailing ships is also very limited by the small storage space. The organization of the "diving operation" is far from the current standard: lack of charging facilities for lamps, cameras and PCs. No tables for preparing photo equipment. No fresh water basins for the cameras, the existing ones several times without water, but when filled then murky and sandy. The billing of the dive in advance is not according to the worldwide standard (which is: diving without financial pressure, according to the mood, the cheapest option for the diver is then chosen for the billing).

Overpriced for the quality of the boat
We loved the combo of diving and land excursions. By there were some downfalls too. The cabins are extremely outdated. The crew hungout in the guest space and played their music (often rap). The dive master was not that professional nor very competent. There were often 7-8 divers to 1 dive master. Some people couldn't dive because they didn't have enough rental equipment, even though the divers said they notified the company beforehand.
Recommended for
There were 2 dives a day mixed with land excursions (we got to see a lot of the various Seychelles islands). Our captain did a great job changing the itinerary due to inclement weather.

Great trip with an excellent variety of activities along the way!
Highlights - Diving: walkman, rays, reef sharks, octopus, lobster etc. My only complaint is that the last night was spent in the harbour and not according to programme at sea. The harbour was noisy, dirty etc..
