What is the DEMA 2018 Show?
The DEMA show is the largest trade-only event in the world for scuba, dive travel, and ocean water sports industries. This annual event, produced by DEMA (Diving Equipment and Marketing Association), attracts hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of dive and travel industry professionals each year. The DEMA show mission is “Bringing Businesses Together to Grow the Diving Industry Worldwide” and is s hugely popular scuba diving event for all.
Where is the DEMA 2018 Show?
This year’s show is the 42nd annual DEMA show and is being held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas from 14 to 17 November 2018. The 2019 DEMA show will be held at the Orange County Convention Center, Florida.
DEMA 2018 Show Features
There is more to the DEMA Show than the DEMA specials, so be sure to check out this world-renowned scuba event. The DEMA 2018 show will have over 600 exhibitors, ranging from dive equipment manufacturers and travel destinations to environmental organisations and training providers. As well at the DEMA 2018 specials available online, there will also be DEMA specials at the show itself. There will also be product demonstrations at the scuba demo pool and you can immerse yourself in over 250 professional development sessions.
If that isn’t enough to satisfy your dive appetite, there will also be around 300 educational programs at the DEMA 2018 show, including talks about everything from the Thailand cave rescue to diving Scapa Flow and safety in technical diving. Espresso Education Sessions will include diverse talks such as adaptive training for adaptive diving and an update on the invasive lionfish project.
Photography fans won’t want to miss the image resource center for all their underwater photography needs, and the new Author’s Corner will no doubt be popular for purchasing dive-related books.
The DEMA 2018 Show Awards Party, including the 30th Reaching Out Awards and Wave Maker Award, will be held on Friday 16 November, and there will also be a Silent Auction.
With so much on offer, it could be hard to keep track of the show but DEMA have even created a DEMA Show 2018 Mobile App. This app will replace the printed directory in a bid to minimise show waste.
