Best liveaboard I’ve done

I saw everything we could have expected to see and more. The dive guides were enthusiastic and just as excited to dive as we were it seemed. Axel was simply the Best cruise director I’ve experienced. Highly recommend.

Relaxed experience

Outstanding diving on the Visayas Shark Special route - such a privilege to meet the thresher sharks. The diving was relaxed with long surface intervals leading to a very restful trip. Cabins were the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced on a LA.

Amazing Diving and good crew

We had a great trip with Seadoors. The crew was a well oiled machine and everything was organized. We enjoyed the diving and we felt we got to see diverse ocean life. Our trip included 2 night dives, two muck dives, whale sharks, treasure sharks and so much more. 17 dives total over 6 days. The dive guides were great. Don’t expect luxury cabins- this is a dive boat and is not upscale. We were plenty comfortable. The rooms had lots of storage space. Food was centered around the French pallet. Apparently 60% of the divers on board are French. We missed local cuisine and international flavors. Especially as a vegetarian my meals were limiting in flavors. Lots of repetition. Overall loved the trip and would do it again.

Shark airport is definitely worth 4 dives. Beer from the cooler on the chaseboat after our last dive was really fancy. Food was mostly very good. Crew and guides super friendly. BUT, chasing after sharks in the blue each day will not become a favourite for me. Some shade on the sundeck would have been helpful as well as a little more respect for sleeping demands

Cannot reccomend

The good - Friendly crew Good food - good variety and quality, and you even get free soft drinks and juice Nice comfy lounge spaces The bad - The boats septic system needs to be looked at. The boat always smells of excrement/sevage. Our toilet was leaking when we got on, and we had waste on the floor in the bathroom. That was fixed day 1. The toilet still smells (gases come up the toilet) and you can hear the waste sloshing about when the boat is moving. If you want to feel seasick this is the perfect combo. Our shower leaked the whole time, so the floor was always wet. The communication in general, and about the diving was bad. We never knew what was happening, where we were going, what to expect. At one point a whaleshark was seen at the back of the boat, people jumped in to swim with it. No one from the crew went around the boat to tell everyone who wasn't at the back already. The owner jumped in with a camera, more concerned about himself rather than getting a crewmember to tell everyone else on the boat. They didn't have the wetsuit size I had indicated on the form I did months ago. The wetsuit I got given had holes in it and was clearly thin from wear. Poor safety briefings and lack of safety features such as AIS or GPS locators - considering Tubbataha is an area of open ocean with strong currents. The owner was on the boat and it felt like it was him private boat to hit on guests and party on. We were just a necessity to fund this. We didn't really feel like the trip was about us. Overall the diving was good, but I wouldn't reccomend this boat to anyone - 5/10 for a stinky boat with poor communication and an overall strange vibe. For reference I have been one 1 other liveaboard within the last year and I'd give that 10/10, so I'm not a crazy demanding person. PS - the owner has 3 cats that live in a small room on the boat. A selfish and cruel thing to do.

Visayas - not the dive trip I expected

Diving with (unbaited) Thresher sharks. There were “feeding stations” for the Whale Shark dives; snorklers swarming all over the poor animals. We didn’t enjoy or approve! So the fact the Threshers come into a natural cleaning station was great. Lots of interesting macro stuff.

It made getting between resorts easy. Basically the boat sails between dive resorts and anchors at them - the day boats from the resort usually got to the dive sites before us. Accommodation and food was taken care of, but you could easily arrange everything on shore at exactly the same sites . The diving was ok, but nothing outstanding.

All round great experience.

Diving with thresher sharks in Malapascua was incredible. We saw about 10 sharks with amazing visiblility, within 2m from us.

The quality of service and equipment was outstanding. The dive guides and staff are attentive and friendly. The quality of diving was mixed, mainly due to weather, but this cannot be helped. It was a great experience.
