MY Palau Sport is a 38-meter/125-foot steel-hulled twin-engine liveaboard that accommodates 24 guests on dive safaris in the Philippines. This newly renovated vessel is fully air-conditioned and houses 9 twin-berth cabins and 3 queen-size cabins, all with en-suite facilities. There is a dive deck complete with dive equipment, and the best sunset view at the open-air lounge area. In the Dining and Bar hall, guests can enjoy our buffet meals comprising 4 main dishes: salad, soup, dessert, and some fine wines and spirits. The MY Palau Sport has some of the most seasoned dive masters/instructors on board who collectively ensure the safety of the guests. There are 2 tenders equipped with individual cradles to protect your gear.

Palau Sport dive packages include 4 dives per day. Each trip marvels at some world-class dive sites in the Philippines, beginning with Tubbataha Reef from March – June. From October to February, Palau Sport visits the southern part of the archipelago, including Apo Reef, Coron, Busuanga, Black Island, Puerto Galera, and Verde Island. Another world-class dive area visited by Palau Sport is the Visayas region, which includes Malapascua, Balicasag, Bohol, and more.

unforgettable trip
Before booking this trip I read some negative reviews - yet these did not reflect my experience at all. The boat was comfortable, clean and everythinig functioned well. The boat is specially designed as liveaboard vessel: easy and spaceaous to prepare for the dives and a nice, refreshing warm (deck) showe after the dive. The crew is very friendly and helpful and the food diverse and good quality. Diving Tubbataha was like a dream come true, with professional and competent dive guides. Its a very goof value for money - as most other dive operators I considered for booking were higher priced.

Superb experience on my first liveaboard trip
The dive guides are very funny, attentive and friendly. They offered help whenever I approached them and made me worry-free. They are also very cautious to the protection of Tubbataha, such as picking up marine debris and making sure divers would not accidentally damage the corals. They dive deck is very spacious and each diver has a large space to gear up. The cabin and bed were comfortable, and would be even better if there was some noise reduction measures for the air conditioning and boat engine. Food was served in buffet style and tasted good. Chef is good at making different kinds of food and desserts. Blueberry donut is super yummy!

Pleasant trip
The crew was very enthusiastic, and the safety management on the boat was excellent. There were charging stations monitored at all times even though the voltage in the rooms was stable. The food was fresh and tasty. The corals were healthy. I definitely recommend this boat for Tubbataha.

One of the best diving experiences I have had
The diving itself was superb, the boat and crew were excellent . The accommodations were nice . The food was good . The crew and especially the dive guides were very professional and safe. All in all it was a fantastic trip and the Palau Sport was a much better experience than I had expected . John and Edwin do a great job ! I would certainly recommend this dive boat to anyone looking to do a live aboard in the Philippines .

Magical Whal shark encounters and great dives
I had great experience on this trip. Thanks to the very experienced guides and crew they took us to the divespots where the most „action“ took place in terms of pelagic sightings. Thanks to this we were able to see 2x a whale shark. They set up your equipment move it to the small boat, so that all you have to do is to double check and dive. The flexibility of the trip also gave us the opportunity to have a quick visit at the ranger station. Shower/ Toilet in the standard dorm a a bit small compared to other liverbaord. Remarks for the tour operator: 1) charges you mandatory additional „service charges“ but none if them goes to the crew. You wanna tip the crew separately and pay the mandatory service charge for what ever reason besides of the mandatory marinepark and fuel charge. 2) For a Liveaboard in this pricerange i would expect the wifi to be included

A wide range of dives
Dugongs, Coron wrecks, and barracuda lake,we would have liked more dives on APO REEF (only 2 ) and less macro dives where the bottom was of little interest except for biologists!!.A strong point for the design of the photo equipment area.The crew and dive guides are smiling, attentive and available.We would like to come back for a cruise on Tubbataha reef.

Good dive sites but accommodation needs improvement
Dive experience was good, but the divers were divided into 9 people per group, this is a bit crowded for us and the dive masters only guide the directions but rarely guide on marine life to see under the water, so you are in your own to spot things. The cabin has aircon and bathroom, but the bathroom smells really bad throughout the trip, not sure the ventilation fan in the bathroom really works. If you are not used to the strange smell, on the first day you could have a feeling of wanting to vomit. The crew of the boat are very nice, especially the ones serving your meal and the ones preparing your dive gear. The food on the boat is really average, but good initiative for the crew to arrange one nice dinner on the rooftop during one of the days of the trip. There is an extra US$100 mandatory service charge (on top of fuel surcharge of 200 and park fee of 100), guess this is in case people don’t give much voluntary tip.

Great Diving
A great trip. Despite 26 divers the boat is large and its not overcrowded. The diving was arranged in waves to avoid overcrowding on the smaller dive boats. The crew work so hard to keep you comfortable. Our diveguide Abhel was fantastic and looked after us brilliantly. Diving was fantastic- beautful reefs with amazing coral and fish everywhere. Some big stuff in the blue on some dives. Transfers to and from the boat worked well. In summary a no frills, functional dive boat.

Safety a priority
Too many sharks, including juveniles to keep track of. Huge schools of travelly & snapper. Healthy, vibrant reefs with tons of marine life & corals. Fantastic friendly & approachable staff who were eager & happy to look after us. Both owners are on board & lead guides so they are on top of things!

Overall a good experience
Overall a good experience. Got lucky for one manta, one whale shark, one marble ray, lots of sharks and turtles…. On the downside… large group diving… and if you are a non photographer in a group with photographers, the dynamics of the dive may or may not suit you. Relation quality/price is average, considering that it is an expensive destination. The staff was great at all times. The dive staff very experienced and professional. After the third day the food was repetitive. Nevertheless, I appreciated very much to accommodate for a vegetarian. The room is tiny but manageable, coordinating a bit with your roommate which you may or may not know. The drainage smell in the bathroom was constantly unpleasant, even if there was an air freshener. If leaving the door open it was manageable, but keeping the door closed for a short time would then intensify the smell to be very dense. The rooms don’t have air conditioning, but do have a power blowing port which essential for any air circulation. The additional mandatory expenses were clearly stated. However, what is called a “service charge” it is interpreted by most as for service (as in gratuities/tips), but they said it is a “government charge”… then please just call it a government charge. Even better just include all the mandatory expenses in the price from the start. There will always be someone who complains about something, like change of dive sites due to weather, but we were in good hands. Albeit some changes, the crew ensured the best location for the conditions. I can say I enjoyed my experience on the Palau Sport. Thank you!

An incredible diving experience in one of the world's famous marine sanctuaries. However the boat and the comfort need improvement.
Our diving trip to Tubbataha was truly unforgettable. The marine life was absolutely stunning—vibrant coral reefs, an abundance of fish, turtles, sharks, and the overall beauty of this protected area made every dive special. The dive staff were professional, friendly, and always willing to help, creating a warm and supportive atmosphere throughout the trip. However, while the underwater experience was exceptional, the boat itself left much to desire. The vessel is quite old, the cabins are very small and not comfortable for a week-long stay, and there was a persistent smell of fuel oil in the rooms, which affected our comfort. Still, the diving itself was world-class .

Enjoyable transition trip, bit chaotic though
The good stuff: Interesting variety of sites - beautiful reefs at Tubbataha and Apo, interesting coral formations around Coron, barracuda lake with its big thermocline, three good wrecks, and some excellent macro in Puerto Galera to finish, with only one disappointing site on the trip. Staff are all nice and a couple of times went out of their way to make the experience as good as possible. Great group of guests too. So, good diving and nice people, which are the things that matter most! The not so good stuff: It was all a bit chaotically run. Before the trip, the person running the email was not very responsive at all. We weren’t given clear updates each day about the schedule, which changed a lot. The only daily briefings were dive briefings, and I’m still not sure who the cruise director is. We only did 7 dives over 2 days at Tubbataha, yet 4 days’ diving were scheduled, which was a bit disappointing. The morning we were supposed to dive with dugongs was a complete disaster (we didn’t end up diving at all and wasted the whole morning) and should have been so simple - the dugongs were there, and we could have just had a quick snorkel with them. I don’t think this is the crew’s fault though, and it’s just due to silly local regulations. The boat is mostly fine, but the toilets in rooms do smell terrible I’m afraid. Overall, good trip, although some room for improvement. Sorry to seem critical, just want to give honest feedback so the trips can be even better!

Generally good conditions and a manageable crossing out to Tubbataha. Beautiful walls and easy, warm diving. Most dives were about 45 mins and only missed one dive due to weather. Crew did a good job to move the boat to a different location so we could get back in the water quickly. Didn't see any large pelagics during end of May but did see reef sharks on every dive.

The boat was busy, but a great bunch of divers who got on very well.
We dived a lot of walls at Tubbataha. one group saw a whale shark and there were also some hammerheads.
