Liveaboard Diving in Camiguin

What To Expect On a Camiguin Liveaboard

Liveaboards in Camiguin Island offer a range of underwater excursions, luxury, and great hospitality on board. Camiguin Island is situated in the Bohol Sea, north of Mindanao, and is just one of the amazing Philippines dive destinations. Camiguin liveaboards will show you a world once volcanic in nature, lined with white sandy beaches and clear blue waters surrounding this island's lush, dense green rainforest.

Camiguin Underwater

Claimed in the past as one of the world's top ten islands to dive, Camguin Island has many dive sites with diverse life, and each site has something special to offer. The usual Philippines' spectacular sea life comes out to play here: white-tip reef sharks, turtles, frogfish, and ghost pipefish are some of the rarities around this island. You will also have the possibility of spotting Eagle Rays and Mantas here, too. Your Camiguin luxury liveaboard will take you on a journey through volcanic underwater history, showing your craters, canyons, and reefs alike that are all enhanced in their coral life due to the past volcanic activity, bringing richness to these dive sites. While sailing on Camiguin Island, you will be treated to 4 dives a day, taking in many underwater sights and allowing you to enjoy the diversity of life that can be found in the Philippines. Your dive tour will allow you to see the brightly colored corals, both hard and soft, as well as the black coral forests seen in this part of the world. The best Camiguin Island itinerary allows you to enjoy different sites that are on offer here on your liveaboard tour.

Dive Sites Of Camiguin

Agutaya Reef Camiguin Island's Hibok-Hibok Volcano towers in the backdrop of this site. A sandy bay, calm, quiet, and peaceful waters over a reef. Great for divers of all abilities to enjoy.

Midina Underwater Springs Two options are a cold freshwater spring (alibuag) which sends bubbles from the sea floor, then a coral reef 300m west of White Island's coast.

Sunken Cemetery A giant white cross marks where once a local burial ground lay. However, this cemetery was covered in volcanic lava during an eruption, and now underwater is a healthy reef with plenty of resident turtles. Dive this site to a depth of 26 meters.

Old Volcano: A dive at a depth between 5 and 35 meters. Dive through a canyon here formed by sharp pinnacles. This delightful site can offer pygmy seahorses if you look closely, ghost pipefish, batfish, frogfish, and white-tip reef sharks. Now and again, divers here have been treated to Eagle Rays and Manta Rays!

Paradise Garden is A beautiful spot covered in various hard and soft corals. From 3 meters, descend into this ancient volcanic crater down to 35 meters. This site has canyons and many holes to peek inside and find scorpion fish, turtles, moray eels, and sweetlips hiding away.

Bulias Shoal Drift dive this site over a forest of black coral and to a depth of 30 meters. Large coral heads attract many purple and orange anthias. See here schools of tuna, sweetlips, and black or red groupers.

Top Tips For Divers
