The M/V Palau Aggressor II is a 32m long liveaboard with 9 staterooms carrying 18 passengers who can explore WWII wrecks, blue holes, and bottomless walls in Micronesia. Scuba diving with the Palau Aggressor II offers up to 5 dives each day, including night dives. All staterooms have a private bathroom, shower, storage, and individual climate control. Meals and snacks are available throughout the day and served either in the dining or outdoor lounging areas and include American options and local cuisine. Complimentary soft drinks, iced tea, beer, and wine can be enjoyed at the many lounging spots all over the boat. Guests can relax in the air-conditioned lounge and enjoy the sun deck with loungers or hammocks, deck chairs, active bar service, and a music player. On the dive deck, there is a dedicated camera table for large camera rigs, and the deck is also very spacious to store all the diving and safety equipment.
When traveling aboard the M/V Palau Aggressor II, the diving is done from a skiff with its captain and experienced dive leaders. The dive site itinerary includes Blue Corner, Blue Holes, Chandelier Caves, Denges passage, German Channel, and Ngedebus Coral Gardens. The divers can find grey reef sharks, white-tip reef sharks, manta rays, cuttlefish, Mandarin fish, Napolean Wrasses, swarms of Jellyfish, and WWII wrecks under the water. During February and March, the guests can find large schools of Moorish Idols, Unicorn Fish, and several species of Butterfly Fish. The boat crew encounters massive bait balls of scad all year round in and around Ulong and German Channel and on the reefs of Blue Corner and Siaes Corner.

Over Rated, Over Hyped, and Over Priced
I've been diving in southeast Asia for 20 yrs and have been on 7 live aboard diving trips in Thailand, Indonesia & The Philippines, along with 3 other divers in our group and we all agree this trip ranks 6th. Although I would rank the boat, food (outstanding) and crew (excellent but, there was not enough dive guides) very high the most important aspect is the Diving Experience which I would rate very low and under whelming relative to hype I read about Palau diving. There were 15 divers in our group with only 1 dive guide and 1 photographer. With only 1 skiff we all dived at the same time. This was by far the largest group I have ever experienced on a live aboard all diving together which was very crowded and we did not get much direction from the dive guides. In addition, we had divers of different degrees of experience and age some of which required personal attention. There were perhaps 3 marque dives but, most of them were average. In addition, we spent 2.5 dives in the port where we boarded the boat doing dives that were easily reachable by the port or shore dive shops which defeats the purpose of paying a premium price for a live aboard I assumed would take us to dive sights not easily accessible by shore. The evening before our last full day the boat returned to port where it refueled and restocked for the next trip while the skiff took us to dive sights near the port. I was very disappointed with the diving experience which was the most important part of the trip. I must note that although the crew was small they were very good. The boat safety policy & procedures, dive briefs, and activities were well done and I have to emphasize again the food was amazing.

The only way to dive Palau!
The diving was fantastic. The dive guides were very helpful. I had issues with some of my personal scuba equipment and they helped fix it right away. Safety is a priority with these folks. The food was very good for a relatively small liveaboard and plentiful. While the cabins were a bit dated, they were clean and comfortable. Loved the trip. It was also great to meet guest/divers from all over the world and share our experiences. I would definitely do another liveaboard.

This was our first liveaboard, so did not know what to expect. Everything was great. Liked that we could dive at our own pace and each dive came back to the main ship for new tanks and briefings. Never a bad dive.

1st time liveaboard: surpassed all expectations!
i was diving the max 4-5 times a day but felt refreshed and ready for each dive only because the staff provided amazing service with immediate access to refreshments and wonderful meals. the yacht had comfortable living quarters to recover in our own staterooms but also with the sundeck lounge chairs and hammocks. the staff were able accommodate individual needs, from having beers for me ready after the last dive of eac day, to providing nice photos from our trip without extra cost.

Phenomenal staff and itinerary
The best diving experience I've had. Captain Ike and his crew were exceptional. The chef had a really good cuisine and excellent variety. We went in June and the weather was a bit rainy, but we had fun because the rain didn't matter under water. I would definitely go again with this crew and on this trip because we didn't get to go to some of the sites in Pelilu and had to repeat some of the same sites.

A very impressive trip
I've never been on an Aggressor before, and I was very impressed. Despite the same price point as my previous liveaboard, now I'm being greeted after every dive with a fresh, warm towel, cool drinks, and great food. The real highlight, of course, was Palau itself-- which even in the "off season" has amazing visibility and variety. Jellyfish Lake was a real unique treat, and the guides were great at pointing out unique features of the reefs we visited.

The boat was luxurious, with large air-conditioned staterooms, hammocks on the sun deck, and lots of comfortable spaces to lounge in. The dive program was professionally run, with dive masters, guides and all the proper safety considerations. The staff was friendly and helpful, always ready to provide extra services that made our trip a delight. The weather was sunny and calm for the whole week. The food was first rate. The diving was fabulous. And the other 17 divers aboard were all fun and friendly folks.

Very dissapointing
Palau Agressor: I am disappointed to say that my recent trip on the Palau Aggressor was very disappointing. This was my most expensive liveboard (total and per dive cost) trip out of 3 aggressor liveaboard (Galapagos, Kona, Palau) and two competitors (Bali/Komodo and Burma). I am so disappointed with the Aggressor fleet now that I am cancelling my Raja Ampat Aggressor trip with Any Water Sports this November 22 (a $500 deposit loss). This trip started with a failed pick up on December 29, after a scramble I finally got to the boat. Once onboard it became apparent the full crew (of 7) was completely exhausted from working since August, this being the final trip before a crew break. Their demeanor and presence were considerably compromised. As is predictable, when personnel are worked to exhaustion, they are subject to stress-induced sickness. 4 (or more) of the crew, in fact, got sick during the trip. As part-time food handlers, and ubiquitously present within a small space shared with customers, this sickness spread to at least two divers, including me. I missed a day of diving, with another day extremely risky given sinus/ear problems. Another diver missed almost half the dives (a triathelete from Germany). Sick personnel could be easily swapped out given the <1 hour continuous day-boat access to Koro. Although a solo cabin was a blessing given the lessened 13/20 passengers, It was definitely the most noisy, extremely bright, least private of the 9 cabins (open to the dive deck). During diving, as a past PADI/TDI instructor, I found it questionable how often bounce diving was employed, including deep dives at the end of air use by many divers being led by professional divemasters, I did not partake in this questionable practice. Other less-experienced divers followed the trained professionals. Divemasters were also more interested in Video and Photo personnel activities, versus diver leadership, experience, and safety. Either you are a divemaster for charter divers or you are not, not some unpredictable compromise. Only 4 of the Palau dives were worth the cost of the trip. All but one dive site (Orange/Purple beach) were crowded with day dive boats (10-12 boats each), including many extremely inexperienced day-trippers to navigate around. Liveaboards should provide a much higher (not 50% costs over day boats. There were clearly more unique opportunities available to pursue, yet not visited. To me the day boats were a superior investment. The Aggressor food was excellent. I will not be returning to the aggressor fleet, pursuing competitive liveaboards in the near future, starting with my cancellation of the Raja Ampat trip in November.

Jellyfish Lake was the one thing that stood out most. The dives we made around Oolong were also very memorable, in part because the weather was great, but also the quality of sea life there was amazing.

excellent food and diving despite bad weather
The diving on Blue Corner and German Channel were incredible, I can see why Palau is many experienced divers' favorite place in the world to dive. We had terrible weather and it didn't matter. Aggressor 2 is well run and the rental equipment was new. Lots of little things they did to make it special, like bringing you coffee or tea to wake you up at your desired time, or providing you with a thumb drive of photos complimentary. We loved the food, and the free wine/beer. Guests in rooms 4 and 6 had some issues with their rooms but I'm not super familiar with the problem or how quickly it could be fixed... we were in room 8 and we were happy, though it was carpeted and had a slight scent though it wasn't an issue because it wasn't noticeable after you were in the room for a few minutes (probably from years of divers coming in slightly wet).

A fantastic trip with a professional and friendly crew (and great food!), a nice boat and of course awesome dives with lots of sharks and mantas
Blue corner and blue holes, orange beach and the dives around Peleliu. German channel was nice but I was surprised to see so many divers and the conditions to spot mantas were maybe not quite as good as in Komodo where I dived last summer. Great dives though, the only little disappointment was that the jellyfishes have apparently taken a big hit with El Nino and almost vanished from the lake; let's hope that they will recover and come back quickly!

Fantatstic
The diving is fantastic. I did not spot a single piece of trash underwater (I usually dive in Asia and there trash is quite common unfortunately). The crew was working super hard to make the trip an enjoyable experience and even though we were not so lucky with the weather (it was pouring down for half of the trip) the trip was a very pleasant experience. A word concerning the diving. Due to Palau regulations you are not allowed to dive in buddy teams. Therefore the whole boat goes diving together and it gets super crowded underwater (we were 15 divers). This was a bit unexpected but on the other hand most of the dive sites don't really allow to split up the groups as there is the ONE point of interest. To compensate for that the crew made a great effort in scheduling or dive sites and times in such a way that we would be the only group on that particular site, i.e. avoiding the divers on the day boats. Overall a fantastic experience.

Excellent service and great memory with Palau Aggressor
All the crews, including Captain Scott, Ernan, Hector, Joe, Editha as well as Chef Shea, provided the great services and food for us during the memorable dream. Besides, I'm really impressed with the highly sysmatic management of Palau Aggressor, which ran the diving trip pretty smoothly. I also enjoyed with the pure and lovely islands and ocean friends in Palau. If you still have no idea which liveaboard in Palau you want to experience, choose Palau Aggressor and you won't regret.

The boat is really perfectly tailored to liveaboard diving. Great job! Comfortable, detail oriented service and all gear/ installations work well. It was nice to anchor/ moore in calm waters and yet get to the strong current dive sites. 8 feet waves did not scare the crew so we some challenging fun out there. I was surprised the reefs were not as versatile and healthy as in Indonesia, maybe the grey weather took too much of the color though.

Epicurean culinary fine dining intertwined with prolific pelagic action subsurface
This was my second trip on the Palau Aggressor II. The on board services (especially the epicurean dining) coupled with unlimited complimentary beer and wine taunted the most experienced divers. 30 C (89F) waters, hard running currents on at least one dive a day (three days there were 5 dives a day) and prolific pelagic action with dive site diversity rounded out a week in Paradise. Most of the crew have a decade of experience and know EVERYTHING. Fred Hamblen (PADI MSDT)

This was the best I ever had so far! ...and I have done a lot of diving.
The dives sites were not only crawling with critters (mantas, sharks, Napoleons, colorful reef fish, turtles,..) there were also chosen very wisely in terms of diversity (reefs, wrecks, walls, caves, channels, lakes,..). The guides were very experienced and safe to dive with - without missing out on the fun part ;-) The crew in general was extremely professional, friendly, welcoming and mindful of any extra wishes we had (got a cheese platter for my B-day on board). A big thanks to Ronnie (excellent food!!), Jay, Andy, Editha, Ripon, Joe and Jim!! You made our stay very special. The boat itself is very functional. All the equipment tays safely on the Zodiac which gets hydraulically lifted to and from the water. Rooms are on one level, spacious, clean, modern and very well serviced all the time (thanks, Editha!!). On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the best) I give this a rating of 9.9! (0.1 more the go, folks, but you are already half-way there ;-)

We had an awesome time on the Palau Aggressor II. The crew is super nice and helpful. Divesites are mostly great, especially Ulong Channel was so much fun. Never dived a cave before, that was beautiful as well. The food is exceptional! And even if there is something you don‘t like, the chef would cook something else for you. We had 25 dives, more than the itenery actually stated. As flights go at night, there would be the possibility to do one or two more dives the last day (friday). But still, all in all it is hard to exceed the experience with the Palau Aggressor and crew.

Third time Palau and the first time Aggressor fleet for me. First of all, I’d like to thank to all staffs including captain, DMs, Chef and stewardess. They work really hard to satisfy us 24 hours while we dive 5 dives per a day. For every dive, DM provided us high flexibility of long dive duration according to each guest's needs, where I felt a kind of American freedom way. The stateroom and public space were always kept clean and the food was great! Needless to say dive sites of Palau were nice, especially Blue Corner didn't let us down. However in that full moon week, I enjoyed to see from close-up spawning aggregation of Red Snapper in Peleliu. Seen dolphins and crocodile swimming during diving by chance were first experience for me and also impressive.
