Highlights
The M/V Palau Aggressor II is a 32m long liveaboard with 9 staterooms carrying 18 passengers who can explore WWII wrecks, blue holes, and bottomless walls in Micronesia. Scuba diving with the Palau Aggressor II offers up to 5 daily dives, including night dives. All staterooms have a private bathroom, shower, storage, and individual climate control. Meals and snacks are available throughout the day and served in dining or outdoor lounging areas. They also include American options and local cuisine. Complimentary soft drinks, iced tea, beer, and wine can be enjoyed at the many lounging spots all over the boat. Guests can relax in the air-conditioned lounge and enjoy the sun deck with loungers or hammocks, deck chairs, active bar service, and a music player. On the dive deck, there is a dedicated camera table for large camera rigs, and the deck is also very spacious to store all the diving and safety equipment.
When traveling aboard the M/V Palau Aggressor II, the diving is done from a skiff with its captain and experienced dive leaders. The dive site itinerary includes Blue Corner, Blue Holes, Chandelier Caves, Denges Passage, German Channel, and Ngedebus Coral Gardens. The divers can find grey reef sharks, white-tip reef sharks, manta rays, cuttlefish, Mandarin fish, Napolean Wrasses, swarms of Jellyfish, and WWII wrecks under the water. During February and March, the guests can find large schools of Moorish Idols, Unicorn Fish, and several species of Butterfly Fish. The boat crew encounters massive bait balls of scad all year round in and around Ulong and German Channel and on the reefs of Blue Corner and Siaes Corner.

Great dives, boat and crew!
Best dive and liveaboard experience to date. Special shout-out to the crew - Jim, Star, Jake, Ronnie, Jay, Jun, Johnny and Ana - for their diligence, attention to details and camaraderie. The hot face towel after each dive was a great touch. Dives were some of the best I’ve done, each different from the other. DMs allowed us to explore flexibly but were also great spotters of their own. I was a solo traveller and am thankful to befriend a GREAT group of very experienced divers! There is no other LOB in Palau you wanna be on. Will be returning to see the full/new moon spawnings.

A very impressive trip
I've never been on an Aggressor before, and I was very impressed. Despite the same price point as my previous liveaboard, now I'm being greeted after every dive with a fresh, warm towel, cool drinks, and great food. The real highlight, of course, was Palau itself-- which even in the "off season" has amazing visibility and variety. Jellyfish Lake was a real unique treat, and the guides were great at pointing out unique features of the reefs we visited.

Recommendation
Divesites: the divesites in Palau are very good but not "out of this world". My personal recommendation: if you have not done Raja Ampath, Komodo Islands, or Similan Islands, I would do a liveaborad there before going to Palau. The divesites there are better (Raja Ampath) or the liveaboard costs less at similar dive quality (Komodo, Similan). Funnily enough, most of the other guests had already also done these liveabords and felt the same. Dive operations: the dive masters are well trained and knowledable. The whole group (18 divers) goes out with 3 dive masters and buddies are allowed to spread aparat quite far during the dives, i.e., it does not feel like being part of such a large group and the diving is great fun. The daily schedule is a bit different than at other boats: big breakfast before first dive and small snack between dive 1 and 2 instead of the other way round // dinner before the night dive (instead of after. While the first point could be easily changed the second point is a bit due to offering of 5 dives per day (instead of the usual 4) - which in itself is a plus. Boat, crew, food: all well run, a smoothly oiled machine. The food is extremly good, especially at lunchtime. A bit of a downside is that after the last diving is done (about 18 hours before you leave the boat), the food also becomes less and there are no more snacks and such. The last 18 hours feel a bit more like the crew waiting for you to leave rather than ending the trip on a high note Value for money: Palau is a high price destination (both in general as well as for diving) and you pay more than at comparable superb dive destinations. Compared to other liveabords on Palau the value for money is good. Compared to similar dive locations around the world, it comes at a higher cost. The whole trip was great fun and I can definitely recommend it.

Great service by a great team
Diving in Palau was nice but nothing really exceptional you wouldn't find on a similar level at many other spots in the world - except the Jelly Fish Lake, which is a nice "once in a lifetime". But therefore the service on board the Palau Aggressor II was great. The team is very caring and engaged when it comes to customer service which was a great experience. Thanks again for a great tip!
