The latest addition to the Nautilus fleet in Mexico, the 27m Nautilus Under Sea offers divers spectacular dive tours to the Socorro Islands in Mexico. An ex-research vessel with her claims to fame, including being the support boat for the James Bond Movie "License to Kill" and a Deep Rover mission with Dr. Silvia Earle, as well as many research and photography missions, the former Under Sea Hunter, has now re-located to Mexico. She caters to 19 guests in 9 en-suite, air-conditioned cabins. The Undersea Hunter also offers plenty of room for relaxation, with a comfortable lounge and dining area and a large sun deck with loungers.

The dive deck offers ample space for kitting up and gear storage, as well as camera set-up and personal camera storage areas. Best diving trip with best crew
This trip to Socorro felt so special, we had an amazing crew taking care of us underwater and on the boat, we were diving so remotely that it felt really unique, the dives sites are magical. Really recommend Nautilus as it’s a really safe company and crew members are really awesome!

Great atmosphere on the boat, the dive guides are superb. 4 dives a day, we saw everything: hammerheads nearby, a whale shark, tiger shark 2 times, and then other sharks and mantas by the dozen

Spectacular trip
Revillagigedo is beautiful, lots of life, sharks, mantas, dolphins, whales. The boat super comfortable, the crew does everything to give you the best experience possible. The only thing is that there is a day when you have to stop for the navy to do a check-up and there the diving is not good at all. It would be nice if other better dive spots were explored for that day.

Spectacular shark encounters
The almost 6m tall "Lucy" and another female of almost the same size, which were often very close to the cages. Sighting of a total of almost 30 different great white sharks. The information from the professional crew about the sharks and their distinguishing features was also great. This gives guests the opportunity to photograph a shark that has not yet been registered and to give it a name. The spectacular jumps of the sharks out of the water were also sensational.

Amazing Liveaboard Experience with exceptional diving

The wildlife encounters were amazing, from pelagic mantas on almost every dive, to 5 different types of shark, some huge, and a school of 1000+ 50 kg to 150 kg yellow fin tuna. Amazing!. The crew was amazing. The captain's leadership in delivering customer satisfaction. From driving zodiac skiffs, to clearing tables on occasion, nothing escaped his attention to detail. All efforts directed at delivering the best experience possible for the divers. The passengers gelled rapidly, with participants from Argentina, Brazil, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Taiwan, Canada and the U S.

White shark express
The crew went out of their way to make your experience a fantastic and memorable one. The opportunity to see multiple white sharks from up close was amazing. There was never a wait to get into a cage so you could essentially soak as long as you wanted to! Would recommend this trip and boat.

A pretty unique experience
The dive guides are very good, especially Rodolfo. They spot the sharks, mantas and dolphins usually before the group see's them. The food was also good, with no complaints of any illnesses. The boat and crew has a good attitude to safety and give some quite lengthy but essential safety briefings. My 2nd trip to Socorro, but hopefully there will be many more to come!
Recommended for
Wild dolphins that are tame and are not scared of divers. Manta's which love to hang around for most of the dive and interact with divers. Uncrowded dive sites with hardly any other dive boats around.

Had an awesome week! The best pelagic big stuff diving I've had anywhere in the world, mantas on every dive, hammerheads, close encounters with dolphins, tons of sharks and humpback whale watching from the surface. The crew was great, and were willing to take us on a launch between dives to go snorkeling with a school of false killer whales. The captain coordinated with other boats so that we were the only boat at Roca Partida (having multiple boats would have reduced our dives there).

Saw tons of pelagics and lots of fish life!. Awesome crew, they worked hard and put us in the best position for good diving.. Great people on the boat and time to share stories..

Awesome crew, amazing diving, and well run operation.
Dolphins, hammerheads, tiger shark, mantas, and the wonderfully friendly crew. The food was good. The top deck can get a little fumey while motoring, so I'd encourage the boat to raise the smokestack or otherwise get creative with the exhaust fumes so that its more comfortable to hang out while motoring.

Amazing dolphin encounters
PRO: amazing wildlife sightings and interactions, mantas on every dive. Interacting with the dolphins are what dreams are made of! Saw school of hammerhead sharks. Amazing crew (Idris, Alicia). Most dive guides were attentive and excited to point out wildlife. Hot tub was a plus after cold dives CON: older boat, something was always broken (hydraulics for the anchor, clogged toilets, broken ice maker and water dispense), 9 crew for 18 ppl so no one was helping us put our gear on, first liveaboard that didn't clean your room daily even when we had ppl who got sick with norovirus on the trip, food was average

A Great Trip, a great crew, excellent boat, luxury food, first class attention.
It was my first liveaboard and I'm sure I won't forget it. An amazing experience, full of new friends, the things we saw were exceptional. We had excellent weather, abundant marine life, everything impeccable. The food was excellent, and according to colleagues who have been to other liveaboards, they said that the food was top-notch. The cabin was very comfortable, the facilities, although it looks like they are already old, are perfectly maintained.What should improve is its alarm system, it repeatedly sounded in the middle of the night waking us up, and all to be a false alarm, it was very exhausting.The crew was the best, super friendly, the guides Nico, Manu, Pablo, Jaime, chef "J J", waiters Osayuki, the engineer and the second engineer. all impeccable in the dealing.When boarding within all the indications, Captain Beto was very clear, that they expected respect from us, and they were also going to give it, however on one occasion the captain interrupted our dinner to say in a friendly way, and this was thought by several, not only me, he said that someone had done something improper and that he did not want it to be repeated, He was very clear in saying that they are not fortune tellers, and that if we did not understand something, we should let him know, or else, he threatened to cancel dives. The scolding continued and I turned to a colleague to ask if he knew what had happened, and the captain in a very despotic way, with total disrespect, yelled at me and clapped his hands saying to turn around, to pay attention to him, as if we were in jail I want to think, because I don't know what that useless man thinks, because we passengers are not fortune tellers either. I just wanted to know what someone had done to threaten us that if it was done again, they would cancel the dives. Then we didn't know what it was, he just threatened us, saying that they are not fortune tellers, but he does expect us to guess. Several of us commented on the lack of customer service capacity he has, and a colleague mentioned that he thought it was good because he took us and brought us safely, but I think differently, if I were a pallet with merchandise, it is perfect that he takes me and brings me safely, but I am not that, I am a customer, and he must learn, whether he wants to or not, to treat us with the respect that the useless one asked for at the beginning of the journey. In the end I was very uncomfortable not only because of that experience, but because I decided to tip much less than I had planned to give, and I left with a bad taste knowing that others deserved more tipping, but what he did to me I didn't like at all.

Of course, the CALIFORNIA SEA LIONS!!! Such beautiful animals. They are comfortable with divers and getting to experience them up close and personal is something i'll remember until my dying day.

I can't say enough about the care that the crew showed for all of us on board. Everyone was incredibly attentive to my needs. The food, dive guides, captain and steward were, not only incredibly competent, but carried out their duties with a care to detail and fun loving attitudes. Really, a fantastic trip.

Great diving but few dives
I had a wonderful trip! The dive sites were full of life, and I was thrilled to spot my very first sea horses - three in total, including a pregnant one. The sea lions were such a highlight, endlessly playful and fun to watch. The warm water was another pleasant surprise - I didn’t even need a wetsuit! The only downside was the limited number of dives. Because the itinerary required a lot of travel north, we were only able to do 15 dives over the week. There was even a day where we couldn't get in the water at all. On other liveaboards I’ve joined, we were diving everyday and the range was closer to 23–27 dives. Since I don’t get to dive often at home, I would have loved the chance for a few more underwater hours.

Dive sites were full of life. Crew was professional and friendly. Sky at night was stunning.
