Custom-built for divers, the Nautilus Belle Amie ship is the largest of the Nautilus Liveaboards’ fleet. With amenities akin to a floating boutique hotel, and a reputation for offering high-level service on board, the Nautilus Belle Amie accommodates 32 guests in 17 en-suite staterooms and suites. On the lower deck are 8 twin staterooms plus one affordable triple occupancy stateroom. The main deck has 2 premium suites, and 6 superior suites are on the wheelhouse deck. Bedding in the suites can be converted to twins or doubles. All rooms also feature individually controlled air-conditioning.
On the main deck is a large salon and dining area, where a fusion of Mexican and West Coast North American food is served. All dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, food allergy options, and quasi-kosher, can be catered to with prior notice. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are buffet-style, and the evening meal is served plated buffet or family-style. There are two fully-stocked extensive bars on board, which include single malts, microbrews, and a large selection of wine. The large sun deck has space for everyone to enjoy lounging in the sun and a hot tub to warm up in-between dives or enjoy after diving with a drink and snack.
The heavy steel construction with stabilization of the Nautilus Belle Amie liveaboard means she was perfectly designed for ocean crossings to get divers to the world-class dive sites of the Socorro Islands or over to Guadalupe for up-close encounters with great white sharks. From November - June, the Socorro Islands are open to offering some of the best diving in the world. Friendly mantas, dolphins, humpback whales, pilot whales, and up to 10 species of shark are just some of the marine encounters the Socorro Islands offer. Or for those who want to get up close with great white sharks, the Guadalupe season offers from July - November each year. The large dive deck, onboard nitrox, and 3 large dive skiffs ensure an easy diving experience.

I wish I could go back today, or never left. If you're considering, just do it.
The Belle Amie exceeded expectations. The crew is absolutely fabulous, the food is amazing and Chef Poncho always has snacks, first and second breakfast, dessert at dinner, absolutely bountiful and delicious. Home baked bread and pastries every day. Far exceeded what I thought we would have onboard.

The Belle Amie is the best of the best
This was our second trip on the Belle Amie and it did not disappoint! The crew is simply second to none and the boat is so comfortable. This was our first time diving sea of Cortez and while the water temperature didn’t cooperate so the big things went deeper, but we had so much fun at many of the dive sites with the sea lions. The captain went above and beyond setting up an ocean Safari day for us where we got in the water with pilot whales and a lovely wine and cheese sunset on a beach. We also got some time to snorkel with the sea lions, which was amazingCan’t wait to be back on board.

Incredible experience
It's a nice boat. It's the biggest one I've been on, having up to 32 divers, so that was new. The diving was unreal. Saw tiger twice and countless mantas and sharks on most dives, plus got up very close with dolphins at least 3 times, and I'm talking about long up-close encounters with anywhere from 4 up to 12 dolphins. The food was very good, and the dive guides are very good. Highly recommend this boat.

One of the best trips I’ve ever had
It was an amazing trip. The diving was incredible and the crew worked extremely hard. The dive guides (Ivan, Pascal, Nikes, Slavic and Roger) were amazing. There is a significant focus on safety of both divers and marine life. I particularly enjoyed the marine presentations in the evenings. I’m planning to come back in a couple of years. Highly recommended.

Ultimate whale shark on Belle Amie
This review is for the ultimate whale shark trip in the end of July. We did 15 dives and two 2.5hour snorkeling tours with whale sharks! The marine lives and corals were healthy and amazing the crew members were professional. Almost every dive, we were welcomed by sea lions! On the way back to La Paz, we also spent some time on a beautiful beach for snorkeling. Overall, it was a nice trip for anyone who loves whale sharks and/or sea lions under water!!

Bravo Nautilus Belle Amie!
The trip was perfect. I felt comfortable with the staff and crew. Everyone was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They were readily available. The room was nice with good hot showers. All of the staff was fantastic from Julio the chef to Mar and Osa, all of the Dive Masters were great, including Pascal, Enrique, Diego, Juan, etc. Ask the Captain was also fantastic. Overall, it was a great trip.

Seeing ALL the things at Socorro!
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to see the giant mantas at Socorro. We were blessed with a manta-palooza as well as numerous species of sharks, dolphins, whale sharks, and frequent whale sightings. The diving operation was well organized and safely executed, and the dive guides were excellent. They also provided educational content every evening about the marine life we were encountering. Meals and snacks were plentiful and tasty, and provided with all dietary restrictions accommodated without hesitation. A personal highlight was the espresso machine that kept many of us from going into withdrawal!! We got one of the two deluxe suites on the main deck and the cabin was fantastic. I wouldn’t hesitate to venture out into the wild with the Nautilus Belle Amie again!
