“This was my most awesome liveaboard to date! ”
Highlights
Custom-built for divers, the Nautilus Belle Amie ship is the largest of the Nautilus Liveaboards’ fleet. With amenities akin to a floating boutique hotel, and a reputation for offering high-level service on board, the Nautilus Belle Amie accommodates 32 guests in 17 en-suite staterooms and suites. On the lower deck are 8 twin staterooms plus one affordable triple occupancy stateroom. The main deck has 2 premium suites, and 6 superior suites are on the wheelhouse deck. Bedding in the suites can be converted to twins or doubles. All rooms also feature individually controlled air-conditioning.
On the main deck is a large salon and dining area, where a fusion of Mexican and West Coast North American food is served. All dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, food allergy options, and quasi-kosher, can be catered to with prior notice. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are buffet-style, and the evening meal is served plated buffet or family-style. There are two fully-stocked extensive bars on board, which include single malts, microbrews, and a large selection of wine. The large sun deck has space for everyone to enjoy lounging in the sun and a hot tub to warm up in-between dives or enjoy after diving with a drink and snack.
The heavy steel construction with stabilization of the Nautilus Belle Amie liveaboard means she was perfectly designed for ocean crossings to get divers to the world-class dive sites of the Socorro Islands or over to Guadalupe for up-close encounters with great white sharks. From November - June, the Socorro Islands are open to offering some of the best diving in the world. Friendly mantas, dolphins, humpback whales, pilot whales, and up to 10 species of shark are just some of the marine encounters the Socorro Islands offer. Or for those who want to get up close with great white sharks, the Guadalupe season offers from July - November each year. The large dive deck, onboard nitrox, and 3 large dive skiffs ensure an easy diving experience.

No regrets, only fun!
The welcome is warm and well organized. The boat is comfortable and robust (it's reassuring in view of the crossing). The overall friendly atmosphere but most importantly the fantastic dives!!

Run, don’t walk, to book this trip
The dive sites and the crew were equally outstanding. This dive company gave us the best of the best experiences. The Dive Highlights: We saw Giant mantas, dolphins, massive hammerheads, silky sharks, Galapagos sharks, tiger sharks, whitetip reef sharks, tuna, octopuses, wahoo, stingrays, skatefish, eels, and schools of fish. Never did I dream that I would literally be 2-3 ft away from hammerheads casually swimming by. The giant mantas make you feel like you are diving in a dream. The mantas are curious and seem to love an audience. They will put on a show for you. Keep in mind that patience pays off. If you don’t chase them, the mantas willingly come super close and make eye contact with you. With the exception of one day, there were four dives a day. We dived off of zodiacs, which only added to the fun. Don’t worry, there was plenty of human help getting in and out of the zodiacs, along with ladders to help you get into the zodiac after the dive. The Vessel: The Belle Amie is spacious, clean, and comfortable. Photos of the rooms and interior spaces don’t do the vessel justice. From photos, I expected the rooms to be more cramped. The double stateroom had a twin-size bed and a full bed, along with its own shower and bathroom. The boat was spacious enough for all guests to gather comfortably at one time and also steal quiet moments by yourself (outside your room). There were hot showers on the dive platform and a hot tub on the sundeck. If you get Wi-Fi, expect it to be a bit spotty. You’re 230 miles away from land. Don’t expect it to support streaming, but it was enough to provide plenty of opportunities to connect with folks at home. Food: The food was fresh, delicious, and plentiful. I was pleasantly surprised by the healthy meal choices and options. You won’t go hungry. Every day there was a continental breakfast followed by a regular hot breakfast, lunch, big afternoon snacks, and dinner with dessert. There was a wide variety of nonalcoholic beverages and libations. (You will want to eat dinner prior to boarding. There is no dinner the first night you board.) The Crew: The interior service was impeccable. Thanks, Ray! The divemasters were extremely knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. It was obvious that they want you to have the best dives and the most memorable, up close experiences with the animals. The smartest things you can do are listen to them and follow their advice. The captain made sure that we avoided storms in the area and brought us to the best dives sites. Everyone worked incredibly, incredibly hard on your behalf. Safety: On top of all this, it was clear that safety was the #1 priority of this company. The Belle Amie provided free SMBs, dive alert air horns that attached to the BCD, and Nautilus Lifeline GPS devices to every diver. There were two Zodiacs acting as spotters in the immediate vicinity anytime guests were diving. There was fire-safety equipment everywhere onboard coupled with fire-prevention policies. Summary: If you have the opportunity to join this company for the Socorro trip, do so without hesitation. You won’t regret it. I recommend this trip to everyone and I will be back to do it again.

EPIC!!!
From the welcome on the boat with smiles and Champagne to the daily briefings from Oscar, our captain.. Wow. The boat is great, nice size, really well organized. The staff are simply outstanding! From Ana and Mar the hostess's on our trip to our Dive guides, Diego, Grettel, Nikee, Dorjee, Luis. to the chef (OMG his food!!!) Juilio. Custom made breakfasts, delicious meals and snacks all day long. I gained weight!!! Now the core...the diving. It is simply EPIC! They tell you don't chase the Manta Rays, they will come to you. Just hang out. They are so right! We had 4 or 5 Mantas on almost every single dive. Each Manta checking out each diver. Being eye to eye with a Manta ray is something I will never forget!!! They were playful and curious. Beautiful. Whale sharks. We saw 2 in one dive!!! We had 8 dives with at least one Whale Shark. Unreal. Hammerheads. So neat to see them swimming by. If you are considering this trip, just book it! There is nothing that wasn't absolutely amazing on this trip, staff, food and diving. You can't ask for better!!

Fantastic diving with a good crew
One of the best liveaboards I've been on! The crew and guides were very friendly, knowledgeable, and very good at their jobs. Socorro is an amazing destination for pelagic life and dramatic vertical wall dive sites.

Great Trip!
Pretty chill trip. The dive sites were not as good as Cocos island honestly, but the crew were awesome and the vessel were comforable (had good sleep every day which is not common for liveaboard). You can do 4 dives a day if you want though I mostly of the time only do 3 dives which is far than enough.
