Seafari Explorer 2 liveaboard operates dive trips in the fabulous Maldives. Refurbished in 2020, it has 12 ensuite cabins with individual air conditioning. There is a mix of double, twin, and single cabins available to offer guests comfortable accommodation during their chosen itinerary. The bright and airy indoor salon area is perfect for relaxing during the day or evening, with a large TV for watching underwater footage or movies. An outdoor saloon has space to enjoy the views and grab a drink at the onboard bar, while spacious sun deck areas allow guests to soak up the warm Maldivian sunshine.

Großartige Tour
Die 15 Tage Tour startete im Süden und schon zu Beginn waren natürlich die Tigerhaie ein wahnsinns Erlebnis. Auf der Suche nach Hammerhaien, Mantas und Walhaien war die Crew sehr bemüht uns die besten Optionen raus zu holen. Die Tauchgänge fanden in gut abgestimmten Kleingruppen statt und es wurde auf individuelle Bedürfnisse Zugeschnitten. Die Stimmung an board war entspannt und alle Gäste gut versorgt. Die Kabinen waren spitze , genau so wie der Rest des Bootes. Am Ende der Tour wurde das gesamte Equipment für die Gäste gewaschen und getrocknet. Ich würde jederzeit wieder mit fahren

Le bateau et l'équipage local est super, par contre il y a un gros manque au niveau des plongées.
Les paysages des Maldives sont à couper le souffle et les employés locaux étaient exemplaires. Par contre, il y a plusieurs lacunes au niveau de seafari : plongées mal guidées voir même dangereuses, staff de plongée pas à l'écoute, aucun moyen de rejoindre le personnel externe de gestion de seafari...

Hervorragende Tauchgänge, bester Guide seit ich tauche, nette Crew, aber Frühstück kaum der Rede wert
Bebe ist der beste Guide den wir je hatten. Einschätzung der Strömung, Auswahl der Tauchplätze, guiding alles hervorragend. Aber am Anreisetag läuft das Schiff noch nicht aus und am letzten Tag ist wegen Gäste Wechsel schon um 06:45 auschecken gewesen. Man konnte auch nicht, für die die später flogen, später auschecken. Das Frühstück war unzureichend. 1x gab es billigen Scheibletten Käse. Müsli und geschnittenes Obst in Auswahl war nicht verfügbar, lediglich eine Sorte: entweder Papaya oder Melone. Die Teeauswahl war sehr eingeschränkt. Filterkaffee gab es nicht, nur löslichen Kaffee. Für 12€ konnte man sich Nespresso Kapseln kaufen….Omeletts konnte man ordern, aber die pancakes waren kalt und kaum genießbar. Marmelade war mit zwei Sorten in der typischen 2*Hôtel Verpackung verfügbar. Engpass jeden Morgen war der langsame Toaster. Hier musste man sich seine zwei Toasts selber toasten, was zur entsprechender Wartezeit der Gäste führte. Auf anderen Schiffen hat die Crew im im voraus getoastet. Zwischen den TG 6:30/10:30/14:30 und dem Frühstück/Mittagessen blieb keine Zeit zum Duschen, sodass ein Teil der Gäste schon bei Tisch saß und andere erst später dazukamen. Nachmittags Snacks gab es außer billigen Keksen, 2x kleinste Kuchenstückchen , die gleich aus waren und nicht für alle reichten. Und nur einmal ein Tunna Toast….alles sehr dürftig. Mittag-/Abendessen waren besser. Das Abschluss Barbecue hingegen sehr gut. Die Getränkepreise lagen bei 4€ für ein Bier oder 34€ für eine Flasche Wein, also nicht günstig. Eine Tip Regelung wie man es von anderen Schiffen kennt, gab es nicht. Dafür wurde mit der Schlussrechnung eine Servicegebühr von €88 je Person berechnete, die angeblich an die Crew gehen soll. Da bleibt dann kaum Spielraum zusätzlich den einen oder anderen zu bedenken. Schließlich steht das Schiff im französischen Eigentum, sodass von 20 Tauchern nur 2 Italiener und 4 Deutsche an Bord waren, also keine internationale Mischung wie man sie sonst kennt. So überwog die Unterhaltung in französischer Sprache auf dem Schiff. Seafari Explorer würden wir sicher nicht wieder wählen.

Sehr schöne Tour
Die Crew ist außerordentlich freundlich und professionell. Die Abholung vom Flughafen hat super funktioniert. Das Essen war großartig und auf dem Boot gibt es viele Rückzugsorte aber auch genügend Plätze um sich mit seinen Mitreisenden zu treffen und auszutauschen.
