The 50m Scubaspa Yang liveaboard is the sister vessel to the Scubaspa Ying, which offers year-round diving holidays in the Maldives. Winner of multiple awards, the Scubaspa Yang provides a truly luxurious diving experience in the Maldives. Up to 36 guests can be accommodated in 17 guest cabins (5 Manta Suites, 3 Dolphin Suites, 1 Cowrie Suite, 8 Sea Star Cabins). One suite and one cabin can be converted into a triple to accommodate 3 guests. All cabins feature en-suite bathrooms and individually controlled air conditioning. The 8 suites located on the main deck all offer panoramic sea views.
The restaurant is located on the main deck and serves three buffet-style meals, plus an à la carte menu. There are live cooking stations, and internationally qualified chefs cater to all dietary needs. There is also an alfresco dining area at the rear of the main deck, and there will be the opportunity to enjoy a BBQ on a deserted island during your stay. The onboard spa spans 300 m² and features 4 treatment rooms, including a double room designed for couples.
Diving from the Scubaspa Yang takes place from the accompanying dive dhoni, which carries all the necessary equipment, including air compressors, a nitrox filling station, rinse tanks, and dive equipment storage. Experienced multi-lingual dive instructors and divemasters can cater to all diving levels and abilities. As a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort, a variety of courses, from beginner to advanced, can be taken on board. Itineraries cover the ‘Best of Maldives’, which includes the Male Atolls, Ari Atolls, and Rasdhoo & Vaavu Atoll, and is available all year, except for February & March when the Scubaspa yacht travels to the ‘Deep South’ for more remote diving suited to more experienced divers.

Tiger sharks in the deep south
We had an amazing trip down south. The crew was amazing and so friendly. The highlight was Fuvamula, a spot famous in the world for close encounters with tiger sharks. And it held up to all expectations.

Best Liveaboard Experience EVER!
It was just the perfect trip from beginning to the end. We were met at the airport by a crew member, and was brought to the motherboat by the dive dhoni. Upon arrival on the main boat, the registration process was simple and clear. We were brought to the cabin by the cruise manager, and given a short introduction of the cabin. In the evening of the arrival day, we were all given a full briefing and met the whole crew of the ScubaSpa Yang. There was 18 divers on our trip, but the boat never felt crowded throughout the whole trip. The sea star cabin was modern, clean and very comfortable. It was the entry level cabin, but spacious enough for 2 people. Housekeeping would usually clean the cabin when we are out for the first dive daily. Coming back to a nice clean cabin after the dive was such a nice feeling. Boat's facilities included many sun decks, jacuzzi, gym, spa, bar, restaurant, etc. The dive dhoni was the most perfectly designed dive boat i've ever been on. Nitrox was complimentary for nitrox divers. There was ample space to keep our equipment in a box given to each diver. Hangers were provided to hang our wetsuits between dives. our gear was rinsed every night with fresh water. The Dhoni crew was very helpful, always helping in every way possible. Dive guide was very experienced, and knew the currents and dive sites inside out. Overall, it was a wonderful trip. I would definitely recommend, and would definitely return in the near future.

Fab experience
My husband Graham who is a very experienced diver, loved the diving; the guides and areas explored were amazing. I enjoyed the spa treatments, so enjoyable and relaxing. I also enjoyed the yoga which l haven’t done before. Food was exceptional, great variety of drinks and the staff were all exceptional. The trip was everything promised. A 5 star hotel at sea.
