The 50m Scubaspa Yang liveaboard is the sister vessel to the Scubaspa Ying, which offers year-round diving holidays in the Maldives. Winner of multiple awards, the Scubaspa Yang provides a truly luxurious diving experience in the Maldives. Up to 36 guests (maximum 26 divers) can be accommodated in 17 guest cabins (5 Manta Suites, 3 Dolphin Suites, 1 Cowrie Suite, 8 Sea Star Cabins). One suite and one cabin can be converted into a triple to accommodate 3 guests. All cabins feature en-suite bathrooms and individually controlled air conditioning. The 8 suites located on the main deck all offer panoramic sea views.

The restaurant is located on the main deck and serves three buffet-style meals, plus an à la carte menu. There are live cooking stations, and internationally qualified chefs cater to all dietary needs. There is also an alfresco dining area at the rear of the main deck, and there will be the opportunity to enjoy a BBQ on a deserted island during your stay. The onboard spa spans 300 m² and features 4 treatment rooms, including a double room designed for couples.

Diving from the Scubaspa Yang takes place from the accompanying dive dhoni, which carries all the necessary equipment, including air compressors, a nitrox filling station, rinse tanks, and dive equipment storage. Experienced multi-lingual dive instructors and divemasters can cater to all diving levels and abilities. As a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort, a variety of courses, from beginner to advanced, can be taken on board. Itineraries cover the ‘Best of Maldives’, which includes the Male Atolls, Ari Atolls, and Rasdhoo & Vaavu Atoll, and is available all year, except for February & March when the Scubaspa yacht travels to the ‘Deep South’ for more remote diving suited to more experienced divers.

Trip of a lifetime - didn't want to leave (Scubaspa Ying/ Yin)
To be clear, we were on Scubaspa Ying (Yin?). The only reason I don't mention diving specifically in the top 3 is that the staff can't really control that lol, but diving was fabulous, extremely safe, with small groups each with its own divemaster (our divemaster, Akki was fabulous but all DMs were helpful skilled, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour). Equipment and dive boat well maintained.

Staff, staff, staff - all absolutely amazing people. Accommodations were stellar and the ship is in great shape and well maintained. Food - every meal was delicious, coffee was customized and a huge selection of wine etc..

Fantastic experience. Crew was unbelievable, diving was fantastic. Went with my fiance on her first liveaboard and she is sold. I would do this route again, with Scubaspa, in a heart beat. We will be back on Scubaspa next year on another route!

Best dive holiday ever
The wildlife was the ultimate highlight of this trip. There was so much life on these reefs! There were dives for different skill levels, and I was definitely happy that I took the nitrox course so that I got that longer bottom time to hang with the sharks at their cleaning stations. The staff were all wonderful: the dive guides were experienced and helpful, the chefs and servers were skilled in their crafts, the bartender was friendly and available, the behind-the-scenes guys were just that—returning to a perfectly refreshed room daily. I enjoyed the spa treatment I received as well. Totally fantastic experience! I can't wait to go back! Thanks a heap to the scubaspa team!!

We had an incredible 5-day diving experience on the ScubaSpa Yang! The entire crew was not only welcoming but also dedicated to making our trip truly exclusive. Jim, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, making us feel right at home. The diving team was equally fantastic. They were highly professional and made sure we felt completely safe at all times. Our guide, Ahu, was exceptional—attentive, knowledgeable, and always eager to share his expertise with us. Each dive was not only safe but full of fascinating insights into the underwater world. The pre-briefing sessions were also very helpful and insightfull to make the best of our experience. A perfect trip from start to finish! Highly recommended for anyone looking for an unforgettable diving experience yet very comfortable and relaxing, with great food and the nicest vibes. The LiveAboard team was also very accomodating and perfectly communicated with us from booking to arrival.

Great for divers and non-divers
The boat only had 16 divers on board so the diver to guide ratio was fantastic. I was traveling with someone who didn’t dive so she got the spa package and there wasn’t a bad massage on the menu. I ended up with three massages anyway. This boat is great for a few dives a day and a gentle itinerary and/or if you’re traveling with a non-diver. If you want many dives and and better caliber of divers this is not the boat for you.

From the first moment to the farewell, everything was just perfect.The boat was well maintained, comfortable, with plenty of space to relax, and at the same time perfectly organized for all diving needs. You immediately felt comfortable and welcome – also thanks to the warm, attentive and incredibly friendly crew, who practically read your every wish from your eyes.The food? A culinary highlight! Fresh, varied, lovingly prepared - every day anew.And then, of course, the most important thing: the dives. Every single one was a highlight! Breathtaking reefs, fantastic visibility, incredible encounters under water – and the whole thing professionally planned and safely accompanied. You could tell immediately: real professionals with passion are at work here.This safari was not just a journey, but an unforgettable experience. TOP, TOP, TOP, TOP, TOP! Absolutely Incredible
Due to bad weather, the diving wasn't out of this world until the third day, however, because the crew, boat and guests were so amazing, it wasn't a problem. Once the weather had picked up, the diving became incredible! Mantas, Nurse Sharks and People!

Unexpected luxury on board! We didn't expect a liveaboard to be a floating resort. Each section of the day is accompanied by a dedicated service team, which acts with passion and extraordinary professionalism. The meals were much better than we expected - it is still a mystery to us how you can cook so creatively and internationally on board. The service team has read your every wish from the Aucen, the bar is open around the clock. On board the smaller dive boat is a team of helpers who keep an eye on safety and service at the same time. Our dive guide "Buddy" was the best guide we have had so far. ( and we already had around 150Dives)In addition to thegreat service and the modern and luxurious boat was the Itiniary. In addition to dives and spa, evening BBQs or cocktail bar nights on sandbanks are also part of the program. Last but not least, all ( 18 ) guests on board immediately formed a great group - people from all over the world and of all ages. We will be back!!!

Beyond incredible!
This has been our best Liveaboard experience we have ever had! The boat is stunning, the food was absolutely incredible (with lots of options) and the diving could not have been better. Mantas, whale shark, currents, colors, it had everything! The currents here are very strong and a reef hook is needed on most dives so the diving in the Maldives is not for beginners but it has to date been the best diving experience that we have had and we have been to some pretty incredible places. I couldn’t recommend this boat any more highly and we cannot wait to visit again :)

Treat yourself and book this trip!
In the first week of May 2026, we were able to enjoy an eight-day cruise in the Maldives. Our expectations were high, but even those high expectations have been exceeded. What a fantastic experience! All the staff is superb; sweet, attentive, helpful, hospitable and always present in a pleasant way! They are all super good at what they do! The diving was fantastic and every time there was fantastic and varied food ready! With a lump in our throats we said goodbye to the boat and the crew! A trip that we have been looking forward to for a long time, but that we can look back on with great pleasure for much longer! Really a party!

My husband Graham who is a very experienced diver, loved the diving; the guides and areas explored were amazing. I enjoyed the spa treatments, so enjoyable and relaxing. I also enjoyed the yoga which l haven’t done before. Food was exceptional, great variety of drinks and the staff were all exceptional. The trip was everything promised. A 5 star hotel at sea.

the best dive guides
All 17 dives were amazing and unique. The guides planned each dive thoughtfully, based on weather, current, water clarity, guests abilities and interests, etc. We saw mantas, sting rays, eagle rays, sharks, colorful fishes and corals, turtles, eels, dolphins, and even a tiny octopus.

A perfect liveaboard experience
All is great as far as liveaboards go! Fantastic diving sites with all the sealife you can think off (manta, waleshark, turtles, nurse and reef shark and so much more). The food quality is fenomenal, very varied and has been consistent for each meal. The beach visits and bbq was also perfectly organised. The staff is excellent and are a great company and very professional dive guides. There is plenty of individual attention for any needs you might have. The rooms are very comfy even the basic ones. The spa is also great with lots of procedures to offer. The amazing thing it all looks Exactly like the promotional video!) Overall a perfect experience for a qualified driver wanting the best sites the world has to offer. One thing to keep in mind is the prices for the diving training - it is the maldives, so you get 5 dives "scooba diver" training for the price of a full advanced open water training (15 dives) in the most reputable diving school in Thailand. So do your maths if budget is at all an issue. And do budget separately for drinks on the boat as they also carry the maldives price tags (8$ for a small beer and 19$ for an excellent cocktail).

Unbelievably incredible dive trip!
Wow. This was my first liveaboard and bar is set high. I cannot express enough how awesome this trip was. What an amazing crew of people who work hard and keep smiling as they ensure you are happy, comfortable, and safe. It was very organized in every aspect. I saw everything I wanted to see during this trip. We were even lucky enough to see a whale shark. I met one couple who was on their 5th time doing this specific liveaboard and I can see why. I would definitely like to come back and do Scubaspa Yang again!

Five stars for the Scubaspa team!
We had an excellent time aboard the Scubaspa. This was our second time on Scubaspa so we knew what to expect but it surpassed our expectations. They have tweaked the level of service, quality of the food and dive team to be even better than before. We would not hesitate to recommend this boat as it is by far the best service level and cabin/ship quality in the Maldives. Congratulations to Thomas and his team. We really did enjoy our time with them. As we have already said the whole team were perfect. For us though Faiz, our dive guide, was superb, very attentive and we felt safe and well looked after in the water. The dive briefings were the best that we have experienced aboard at liveaboard, Faiz and Hassan had excellent English so made them interesting and fun. Pavel, from the dhoni crew, was always attentive and on hand to help zip up our wet suits, check our nitrox and help us with our equipment. Abey and Tuttik on the hospitality team were charming and delightful. Shah, Romesh and Mahendi couldn't do enough to help and always remembered how we liked our coffee and had it ready and waiting. Abdulla. the chef, turned out beautiful food from starter, mains and desserts to die for! Thank you to the team for making our holiday really special. We will definitely be back.
