The 50m Scubaspa Yang liveaboard is the sister vessel to the Scubaspa Ying, which offers year-round diving holidays in the Maldives. Winner of multiple awards, the Scubaspa Yang provides a truly luxurious diving experience in the Maldives. Up to 36 guests can be accommodated in 17 guest cabins (5 Manta Suites, 3 Dolphin Suites, 1 Cowrie Suite, 8 Sea Star Cabins). One suite and one cabin can be converted into a triple to accommodate 3 guests. All cabins feature en-suite bathrooms and individually controlled air conditioning. The 8 suites located on the main deck all offer panoramic sea views.
The restaurant is located on the main deck and serves three buffet-style meals, plus an à la carte menu. There are live cooking stations, and internationally qualified chefs cater to all dietary needs. There is also an alfresco dining area at the rear of the main deck, and there will be the opportunity to enjoy a BBQ on a deserted island during your stay. The onboard spa spans 300 m² and features 4 treatment rooms, including a double room designed for couples.
Diving from the Scubaspa Yang takes place from the accompanying dive dhoni, which carries all the necessary equipment, including air compressors, a nitrox filling station, rinse tanks, and dive equipment storage. Experienced multi-lingual dive instructors and divemasters can cater to all diving levels and abilities. As a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort, a variety of courses, from beginner to advanced, can be taken on board. Itineraries cover the ‘Best of Maldives’, which includes the Male Atolls, Ari Atolls, and Rasdhoo & Vaavu Atoll, and is available all year, except for February & March when the Scubaspa yacht travels to the ‘Deep South’ for more remote diving suited to more experienced divers.

World-Class Encounters Under the Waves: The diving was nothing short of extraordinary. The crew consistently put us on world-class sites, delivering the kind of marine life encounters that most divers only dream of. Every single dive felt like a page out of a documentary. We were spoiled with multiple, up-close encounters with majestic manta rays, breathtaking sightings of a whale shark, and exhilarating dives surrounded by various species of sharks and dozens of graceful eagle rays. Combined with the stunning health of the reefs—vibrant, beautiful, and teeming with life—it was a truly unforgettable underwater spectacle. Service, Comfort, and Those Perfect Details: The professionalism and friendliness of the crew were outstanding. They managed to be highly professional and safety-conscious while making us feel like family. Beyond the diving, the ship itself felt like a boutique hotel. Our cabins were spacious and incredibly comfortable, providing the perfect retreat after a long day of diving. But it was the little details that elevated the experience into pure luxury. From the beautifully set dining tables at every meal to the charming whaleshark drawn in the foam of our morning cappuccino, the crew's dedication to guest happiness shone through in every interaction. A Culinary Revelation for Vegans: As vegans, dining on a liveaboard can often be challenging, but the kitchen staff here delivered an absolutely fabulous culinary experience. They made the biggest effort to ensure we had varied, delicious, and exciting food for every single meal. We didn't just get a side salad; we were treated to creative, flavorful dishes that rivaled top-tier restaurants. Their dedication went far beyond expectation, making the food a true highlight of the entire trip. Final Verdict: This liveaboard sets the gold standard for dive travel. Scubaspa Maldives has been, without question, the best liveaboard I have ever been on. From the moment you step on board, you feel welcomed, cared for, and completely spoiled. The staff is unbelievably friendly—every single person goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable, memorable, and effortless. The boat itself is pure luxury. Everything is impeccably clean, beautifully maintained, and designed to make you feel like you’re on a floating boutique hotel rather than a traditional liveaboard. The common areas, the rooms, the spa, the decks… all flawless. The food deserves its own mention. There is a wide variety at every meal, and the quality is honestly exquisite. The best of diving and luxury cruise worlds all in one
Diving route allowing to see manta rays, pelagic and sharks for my husband, and for me, a poor swimmer, the possibility to snorkel on top of a whale shark thanks to Mario, the best dive instructor to my eyes after this unexpected experience.

Overwhelmingly well prepared Christmas dinner, some incredible dives (thanks to a very well coordinated team of diving instructors), the BBQ dinner in an island. Every day included some beautiful surprise. Unforgettable.

My husband Graham who is a very experienced diver, loved the diving; the guides and areas explored were amazing. I enjoyed the spa treatments, so enjoyable and relaxing. I also enjoyed the yoga which l haven’t done before. Food was exceptional, great variety of drinks and the staff were all exceptional. The trip was everything promised. A 5 star hotel at sea.

Our cabin (#14) was on the main deck had so much space and was central to everything. The food was outstanding, every meal had so much choice. Island trips were organised so well and everything ran like clock work. The staff were always pleasent and happy and our dive guide new all the good spots to take us.
