Highlights
The Sachika liveaboard, by Top Class Cruising, is a 33-meter/108-feet custom-built liveaboard that has been Awarded the “Best Dive Safari Boat’’by the National Boating Association of the Maldives for two editions. The Sachika has 10 cabins, including 3 suites, 1 junior suite, 4 standard double or twin cabins, and 2 twin cabins, catering to 22 guests. Each cabin has an air conditioner, en-suite bathroom, mini-bar, and private entertainment hubs. The sundeck with its jacuzzi is perfect for relaxation between dives and stargazing at night. Meals are served in the A/C restaurant, and guests can sip on some tasty cocktails while lounging on the aft deck. The trailing dhoni (a traditional Maldivian vessel) is used for diving and keeping all the tanks and compressors separate so travelers can sleep. A full snorkeling itinerary for non-divers includes activities like fishing, beach visits, and treks.
Aboard the Sachika, guests will cruise through central and deep south atolls and dive at Male Atolls, Rasdhoo, Meemu, and Ari Atolls. The cruise sets out to the south with the exploration of a trawler that sank three decades ago and became a home for the local needlefish and scorpionfish. In the western part of the atoll, it is easy to meet manta rays coming close to the reef to enjoy the many cleaning stations. The sea is rich in marine life and is full of whale sharks, scorpion fish, glassfish, reef sharks, Napoleon wrasse, green turtles, beautiful corals, dolphins, and more.

Mindblowing, completely exceeded our expectations
Bea (the boat manager) and the crew have created a warm, welcoming, joyful atmosphere on the boat. The minute you arrive you are greeted with the warm smiles of the crew and a refreshing welcome drink. From there, you can enjoy some of the best diving in the world. The dive guides were knowledgeable-timing the dives so we had the best opportunity to see the undersea life we were hoping to see (mantas, whale sharks, sharks, turtles). There was a variety of skill levels on the boat but they managed nicely to arrange us in groups that were appropriate for everyone. The food was delicious and there was a wide selection to choose from. If was a buffet style so you could choose what you wanted and eat as much/as little as you wanted. They stopped at small islands from time to time so we could enjoy the beauty of the desert islands that the Maldives are so famous for. On the last day, we also had a tour around the capital city of Male. We felt the price was very reasonable for the number of dives we could do, the amount of food we were able to eat, the extra tours they provided, the beach barbecue, etc. The crew of the dhoni prepared our dive gear and tanks every dive so it was pure heaven to just go to the dhoni, put on our equipment, and jump in the water. Every detail was taken care of. Athithi, our excellent dive guide, was able to show us some amazing sites but did not take any risks when there was a current, etc. We always felt like he was looking out for our safety. The dining area is set up so you get to sit with other passengers and enjoy getting to know other people. By the end of the week, we felt as though we had made 20 new dive friends. We are so thankful we chose Sachika for our Maldives adventure. Thank you to all the crew.

Mind-Blowing Maldives Mayhem
Sharks, Manta Rays & all manner of incredible underwater wildlife. None of it would have made a difference however, without the relentless enthusiasm and generosity of the crew of Sachika…

Amazing trip all around
While sailing conditions and visibility sometimes were not ideal, the Sachika crew went above and beyond to make the liveaboard experience outstanding. Pre-dive briefings are comprehensive; food and snacks are always available; and the dives themselves are not in large groups and always safety oriented. Martina and the crew also made sure that everyone onboard had chance to mingle and chill after 3-4 dives a day. Mantas at Moofushi, shark schools in Fish Tank and the Maaya thila night dive are some of the best dives I have done in a while. Def will come back!
