Highlights
The Sachika liveaboard, by Top Class Cruising, is a 33-meter/108-feet custom-built liveaboard that has been awarded the “Best Dive Safari Boat " by the National Boating Association of the Maldives for two editions. The Sachika has 10 cabins, including 3 suites, 1 junior suite, 4 standard double or twin cabins, and 2 twin cabins, catering to 22 guests. Each cabin has an air conditioner, en-suite bathroom, mini-bar, and private entertainment hubs.
The sundeck with its jacuzzi is perfect for relaxation between dives and stargazing at night. Meals are served in the A/C restaurant, and guests can sip on some tasty cocktails while lounging on the aft deck. The trailing dhoni (a traditional Maldivian vessel) is used for diving and keeping all the tanks and compressors separate, so travelers can sleep. A full snorkeling itinerary for non-divers includes activities like fishing, beach visits, and treks.
Aboard the Sachika, guests will cruise through the central and deep south atolls and dive at the Malé Atolls, Rasdhoo, Meemu, and Ari Atolls. The cruise sets out to the south with the exploration of a trawler that sank three decades ago and became a home for the local needlefish and scorpionfish. In the western part of the atoll, it is easy to meet manta rays coming close to the reef to enjoy the many cleaning stations. The sea is rich in marine life, home to whale sharks, scorpionfish, glassfish, reef sharks, Napoleon wrasse, green turtles, beautiful corals, dolphins, and more.

Great first Liveaboard with Unforgettable Crew
My husband and I had such an amazing time on the Sachika! Mox runs a very efficient, fun, real and stress free operation. The food was so good I probably gained weight over the week despite the number of dives we did! The crew constantly makes sure there is fresh fruit, snacks available after afternoon dives; meals are perfectly timed and always had a variety of fresh vegetables, carbs, vegetarian meals, and phenomenal fresh fish or meat. 10/10 couldn’t ask for better meals to keep our energy up! The bar is so cute an and quaint; great selection of options. Every day our beds were made and a great smelling room scent sprayed to keep everything feeling refreshed and cleaned. So nice coming back from an afternoon dive to. The dives were great despite a terrible weather week! We saw plenty of micro and pelagic marine animals and a variety of reef and coral. Our dive groups were paired appropriately based on experience and the guides were knowledgeable and confident. They helped me greatly as a newer diver to adjust my weights and trim, as well as continue refining my buoyancy and curiosity in the water. We had the occasional class on board taught by Luigi and Mox — Mox is insanely knowledgeable about the country, its marine life, and ethical conservation efforts. 10/10 The Dhoni crew was out of this world. Constantly making sure our gear was good to go, helping with any issues, making sure we were in and out of the water on time / appropriately. Had snacks for us on the boat several times after dives. Overall really couldn’t express how much care is taken by the crew to make sure every diver has a completely relaxed, fun and beautiful experience on the Sachika. We felt like every detail was thought of and while the boat is a little on the older side and weather was a bit of a downer, we still found time for. BBQ island event, a beach trip, and the rooms and boat stayed immaculately clean. Would book with Sachika again in a heartbeat!

The diving, the food, the other guests. GREAT WEEK!
This was our 6th live-board and every time we look forward to a week full of diving, good food and meeting other divers with their stories and experiences. The Sachika is a pleasant boat with a service-oriented crew where our expectations were met. The weather conditions were not ideal, but the tour leader responded to this cleverly. Despite sometimes strong winds, clouds and strong waves, we were able to dive 20 beautifully. Highlights for us were the night dive with plankton-eating mantas and the night dive with hunting sharks and tuna. This trip we saw many mantas, various species of sharks, octopuses, turtles, the Fesdu wreck and beautiful reefs. As a bonus, we count the beach BBQ. We still don't know how the crew got all the honoring and drinking to the small island so quickly and unscathed. It was fantastic! The kitchen team is the linchpin of the boat anyway. All dishes were delicious and very varied. Two more top players: the captain of the Sachika and that of the Dhoni. It is an art to pick up divers from the water under these conditions and keep the big boat on course. Also worth mentioning are the lectures about mantas, sharks etc on board. We had cabin 9 on the upper deck. Wonderfully spacious, sea view, large bathroom and twice daily cleaning. Pure luxury.A week of diving with the Sachika: you look forward to it for a long time and you think back to it with a big smile. Thanks to the crew from week 9-16 May 2026. You guys are amazing!!!

Surprising
It was the rainy season durying I was on a liveaboard in the Maldives, the weather was unfortunately not very great. However, this made me appreciate the crew's professionalism that they were able to arrange different itineraries to handle various unexpected situations and patiently explained the reasons to us. Although the boat is a bit old, there were many thoughtful and heartwarming details on board, such as a notebook for recording guest notes and itineraries, which I found very interesting. Furthermore, the crew took great care of us. Although the water was a bit milky during the dive trip, we unexpectedly saw hammerhead sharks and bull sharks, which was a pleasant surprise.

Mindblowing, completely exceeded our expectations
Bea (the boat manager) and the crew have created a warm, welcoming, joyful atmosphere on the boat. The minute you arrive you are greeted with the warm smiles of the crew and a refreshing welcome drink. From there, you can enjoy some of the best diving in the world. The dive guides were knowledgeable-timing the dives so we had the best opportunity to see the undersea life we were hoping to see (mantas, whale sharks, sharks, turtles). There was a variety of skill levels on the boat but they managed nicely to arrange us in groups that were appropriate for everyone. The food was delicious and there was a wide selection to choose from. If was a buffet style so you could choose what you wanted and eat as much/as little as you wanted. They stopped at small islands from time to time so we could enjoy the beauty of the desert islands that the Maldives are so famous for. On the last day, we also had a tour around the capital city of Male. We felt the price was very reasonable for the number of dives we could do, the amount of food we were able to eat, the extra tours they provided, the beach barbecue, etc. The crew of the dhoni prepared our dive gear and tanks every dive so it was pure heaven to just go to the dhoni, put on our equipment, and jump in the water. Every detail was taken care of. Athithi, our excellent dive guide, was able to show us some amazing sites but did not take any risks when there was a current, etc. We always felt like he was looking out for our safety. The dining area is set up so you get to sit with other passengers and enjoy getting to know other people. By the end of the week, we felt as though we had made 20 new dive friends. We are so thankful we chose Sachika for our Maldives adventure. Thank you to all the crew.

Great diving in crazy weather
We had an amazing time aboard Sachika, despite some challenges with the weather. Although we were unable to follow our planned schedule around the Maldives and it seemed that the mantas had left Baa Atoll—with all the cleaning stations and even Hanifaru Bay being manta-free—the crew went above and beyond to make our trip special. In the end, we were thrilled to experience not just the excitement of Manta encounters but also the incredible thrill of whale shark sightings, both while snorkeling and diving.
