The Sachika liveaboard, by Top Class Cruising, is a 33-meter/108-feet custom-built liveaboard that has been awarded the “Best Dive Safari Boat " by the National Boating Association of the Maldives for two editions. The Sachika has 10 cabins, including 3 suites, 1 junior suite, 4 standard double or twin cabins, and 2 twin cabins, catering to 22 guests. Each cabin has an air conditioner, en-suite bathroom, mini-bar, and private entertainment hubs.
The sundeck with its jacuzzi is perfect for relaxation between dives and stargazing at night. Meals are served in the A/C restaurant, and guests can sip on some tasty cocktails while lounging on the aft deck. The trailing dhoni (a traditional Maldivian vessel) is used for diving and keeping all the tanks and compressors separate, so travelers can sleep. A full snorkeling itinerary for non-divers includes activities like fishing, beach visits, and treks.
Aboard the Sachika, guests will cruise through the central and deep south atolls and dive at the Malé Atolls, Rasdhoo, Meemu, and Ari Atolls. The cruise sets out to the south with the exploration of a trawler that sank three decades ago and became a home for the local needlefish and scorpionfish. In the western part of the atoll, it is easy to meet manta rays coming close to the reef to enjoy the many cleaning stations. The sea is rich in marine life, home to whale sharks, scorpionfish, glassfish, reef sharks, Napoleon wrasse, green turtles, beautiful corals, dolphins, and more.

Easily the best liveaboard we've been on
Overall, we had a fantastic experience on this liveaboard. The dive guides were excellent — knowledgeable, attentive and clearly committed to making sure everyone had a safe and enjoyable time underwater. I was impressed with their dedication to safety, with very clear dive briefings to tell us what to expect. The dives themselves were amazing with plenty to see (sharks, mantas, whale shark!) and the guides really helped make the most of each dive by pointing out anything of interest. You could tell that they were familiar with the dive sites and knew what to look out for. The food was also consistently good, and the crew went out of their way to make us comfortable and accommodate our needs throughout the trip. Their service and hospitality were definitely a highlight. They went above and beyond to organise a welcome happy hour, a beach BBQ (complete with a fantastic sand sculpture of a whaleshark), and even a birthday and anniversary celebration for a couple on board. The main area that could be improved is the rental dive equipment. Many of the wetsuits offered to us had holes, I was provided with mismatched fins (functionally no issue), and I had difficulty finding a mask that fitted properly without fogging or flooding. I tried at least three masks over several dives before eventually borrowing a spare from another guest. For a liveaboard where diving is the main focus, I think the rental gear would benefit from a thorough inspection and better maintenance/replacement. That said, the excellent dive guides, great diving, food and genuinely helpful crew made this a very enjoyable trip overall. Sadly, this is Sachika's last season, but we would happily come back to dive with Top Class Cruising and First Class Cruising again. Looking forward to the launch of their new boat next season!

Fantastic boat and crew. Insanely good diving
Had an amazing week on Sachika back in 2019. At the time I said it was the best liveaboard I had ever been on. 7 years later and I still agree. Everyone one of the crew, from dive guides to bartender to chef and dhoni crew went above and beyond. Can’t say how grateful I am to them for making it such an incredible week. I did the Best of Maldives trip and it was all they say it will be. From the night dive with all the rays and nurse sharks. Mantas and whale sharks. The diving is diverse and the fish life is thriving. Top notch boat. Am looking to book again. Hope to see you soon Martina!-and hopefully some of the old crew are still around as well.

Good overall
This is my first dive trip. The room was clean. Food was delicious. We see manta, shark... Its amazing. However, Divers' abilities vary greatly. We have people within 20dives, but also people that are instructor level. Making it difficuit to dive with people with simular level. But overall the dives are grate and it was a once in a lifetime experience.

This was our 3rd liveaboard dive cruise in the Maldives and by far our best one. The crew went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience, both above and below the water. A fantastic week!

Brilliant from start to finish, truly Manta madness etched in my precious memories, thankyou.
Everything was brilliant, so impressed as nothing was overlooked including very informative dive briefings with great images of dive sites. Had daily yoga which was brilliant and helped my sore muscles after diving. Two beach BBQs which were spectacular, crew cooked up a great feed. Dives were all impressive saw so much including my 2 favourites manta n sharks. Great crew very helpful and friendly. Whole experience was just amazing and will etch a huge memory for my husband and I.

Always beyond our best expectations
In our trip in Sachika boat, everything went perfect but the weather. Giacomo and the dive masters were the best: kind, helpful, and very professional. They take care of every small problem with a smile, making us feel at home from the first day The ship is in peak condition, so clean, and taken care off that it looks new. Much better than pictures, where usually is the contrary. Cabin was big and clean, with plenty space and an comfortable individual bathroom, also carefully cleaned. And food, food was amazing. Every meal was a buffet with plenty of choices, although since all were delicious, you usually end up eating much more than anticipated. Overall, when I come back to Maldives, I’ll definitely will be back with Giacomo and his crew. Thank you very much for the best diving week of our lives.

Great crew, good diving and plenty of grey reef sharks. We didn’t get very lucky with the mantas, but we did see them. The food was tasty, although a little repetitive. The boat is older, but overall
We had a great time on the liveaboard in the Maldives. The crew was fantastic, friendly and always helpful. We weren’t particularly lucky with the manta encounters, but we did see them, and there were plenty of grey reef sharks around, which was amazing. The food was tasty overall, although it became a little repetitive after a few days. The boat is definitely on the older side, but we were told that the company is planning to replace it with a newer one soon. Overall, a great diving trip with an excellent crew and some memorable underwater experiences.
