The M/V Maldives Aggressor II is a world class liveaboard yacht scheduling year round diving cruises to the stunning Maldives Atolls. She caters for 22 guests in 11 staterooms, each complete with a private en-suite bathroom and shower, closet, hair dryer, individual climate control and TV/DVD. There are 4 deluxe staterooms and 1 suite with ocean views located on the main and upper decks and six standard twin cabins located on the lower deck. The large indoor lounge and dining room is fully air-conditioned and is where the onboard menu featuring a variety of American fare and local cuisine is served. Soft drinks, iced tea, beer, and wine are complimentary. Guests can also enjoy the large partially covered sundeck with chaise lounges and deck chairs, bar service and CD/stereo player.
The Maldives Aggressor II itineraries explore the turquoise waters of the Maldivian Atolls, packed with marine life such as grouper, snapper, surgeonfish, eels, parrotfish, Napoleon wrasse , barracuda, sweetlips, sharks, rays and whale sharks rays. Divers have the choice of 3 exciting itineraries covering all the best dive sites depending on the time of year. Diving amenities include a large swim platform with personal gear lockers, air/nitrox fill stations, rinse tanks, three-tier camera table with low-pressure air hoses and 2 warm freshwater showers and nitrox is available for those certified.

The Aggressor team have implemented additional measures in line with the recommendations from the Center for Disease Control (CDC, USA) or European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC, EU) with their 'Clean Refresh Sanitize' protocol to further ensure the safety of all guests on board. These measures include (but are not limited to) an increased frequency in cleaning and sanitizing public areas, guest rooms preparation procedure upgrade and rooms to be serviced twice daily.

Manta Manta!!!
We saw so many mantas and other rays (during day and night), all kinds of sharks, incl. wale sharks and octopoi! We did not expect to actually see so much! The channels are really fun! For rather inexperienced divers with now 41 dives, we felt always safe and really well taken care of.

Tolles Erlebnis auf den Malediven
Meine Frau und ich waren das zweite mal auf den Malediven, das letzte mal in einem Resort, nun auf der Maldives Aggressor 2. Das tauchen hat uns dieses Mal wesentlich besser gefallen! Auf der Tour Best of Maldives war alles dabei, was wir uns gewünscht haben. Fünf Mantas gleichzeitig an der Cleaning Station. Wir hatten sogar das Glück das wir während eines Tauchgangs zwei Waalhaie gesehen haben. Dafür war das Wetter für Ende Dezember sehr regnerisch, was untypisch für die Zeit ist. Naja bei allem kann man nicht Glück haben. Die Crew war freundlich, der Cruise Direktor kann viele Sprachen, sogar deutsch. Auch eine Instroctor war deutsche, das war toll das wir bei Verständnisproblemen hierauf zurückgreifen konnten. Die Guides sehr nett und spaßig. Das Boot ist sehr geräumig und schwer (gut bei Wellen, da bleibt es ruhiger im Wasser liegen), dafür etwas langsam, gut in Schuss, alles hat funktioniert, keine Ausfälle, jedoch nicht das neueste. Das Tauchdhoni ist im Vergleich zu den anderen Dhonis die wir gesehen hatten, erste Klasse. Beides sind Stahlboote, es wird sehr viel wert auf Sicherheit gelegt (zwei Rauchmelder auf dem Zimmer, Nachtwachen die wirklich da waren, Kameras für Feuerwache usw). Die Crew ist breit aufgestellt, ich glaube es waren 16 Leute mit dabei, die sich um alles gekümmert haben. Essen war teilweise nicht so unseres, keine Brötchen zum Frühstück, relativ viel Fisch (was wir nicht mögen), irgendwas haben wir immer gefunden. Wenn man es sagt, bekommt man anstatt Fisch zb Hühnchen. Jeden Abend gab es vier Gänge Menü, naja manche mögen das, uns erschien es etwas übertrieben. Trotz teilweise schlechten Wetter hatten wir eine tolle Woche mit super schönen Tauchgängen! Wir hatten mit einem Rabatt Special von 40% gebucht, der reguläre Preis wäre und zu hoch.

Hervorragendes Tauchen und Beste Tauch-Crew auf heruntergekommenem Ersatz-Schiff
Tauchplätze, Tauch- und Bootscrew waren super. Fürs Essen gibts auch 5 Sterne, aber warum bei nur 5 wein-trinkenden Gästen an Bord die Wein-Bestände schon nach 4 (von 10) Tagen erschöpft waren, konnte niemand erklären - dafür 1 Stern Abzug. Leider stand das geplante Schiff nicht zur Verfügung, sodass wir auf einem maroden Ersatz-Schiff fahren mussten, welches mit uns seine letzte Fahrt (vor der Renovierung oder Verschrottung?) machte. Wir waren zwar vorher über diese Tatsache informiert worden und sollen eine Gutschrift erhalten, wenn wir gewusst hätten, wie schimmlig-muffig die Kabinen tatsächlich waren, dass die Aircondition ebenso defekt ist wie die Ankerkette (und vieles andere Unmögliche mehr), dann hätten wir die Fahrt vermutlich nicht angetreten. Insgesamt ein schönes Taucherlebnis, und wenn das nagelneue Aggressor-Schiff dann wirklich zum Einsatz kommen wird kommen wir gerne wieder.
