The EcoPro Mariana is a traditional Maldivian safari boat that offers guests the best diving and comfort in the Maldives. The boat is 28 meters/100 feet long and has 9 cabins, each with its bathroom and air-conditioning. There are 3 decks and outdoor dining. A second boat accompanies the EcoPro Mariana while carrying the dive gear, and it takes the divers to the sites. This allows for more comfort and quiet on the main boat. The EcoPro Mariana takes a maximum of 16 guests to provide the best service possible. The crew is well-trained in eco-conscious activities, and onboard guests are offered biodegradable shampoo and reusable items like straws. Drinking water production is through a reverse osmosis system. EcoPro Mariana also collaborates with NGOs like Parley for the Oceans and Manta Trust to help protect the delicate underwater marine life and corals.

Great liveaboard despite vertigo trauma
The trip was a complete success, we dived with manta rays, sharks and whale sharks. After vertigo trauma, Roy took me to the hospital for one night for monitoring, thanks again for the help. Fortunately, everything was OK.Very friendly, helpful staff on board.

An Excellent Choice for Those Wanting to Explore the Far South Reaches of the Maldives
The 14 day trip is for advanced divers only. Because of the strong current you are typically not under the supervision of a divemaster. The dive operation on board had a few replacement parts but you should be prepared with your own spare parts and extra equipment. The operation was very efficient and you can expect to spend a lot of time underwater.

Amazing trip!
The diving was excellent! We saw mantas on several dives, so many sharks, eagle rays, turtles and much more. We even encountered a tiger shark on the last dive.

Very good, but diving guide can be improved. Two diving guides should be more coordinated. Trip plan can be better. Several sites were visited 2 times.

very nice cruise
This cruise allows you to see a lot of different species, the dives are varied and you won't get bored! Night diving with manta rays is an unforgettable experience. The diving with nurse sharks is impressive because of the proximity to the sharks. The organization of the dives is satisfactory, the crew, the captain are very professional and really at your disposal, thank you to them! I recommend this destination, see you soon!

The stand out dive was the night dive with the Manta's. Spending an hour just watching them dance in front of your eyes was amazing. Everybody on the boat was super amazed.

It doesn't get any better than this (November 2024)
We booked our diving holidays in the last week of November 2024 on the Mariana. On the boat we dived to 5. So we had plenty of space. Maggy and Roi were very knowledgeable the whole time. I don't have to list every detail. Afterwards we were on Kuramati for 2 weeks. The food was certainly not bad but no comparison to Mariana. We will certainly go back on a boat where the Maggy and the Roi are on it. The Mariana has exactly the charm we expected. Everything clean and well maintained. So this combination is hard to top from my point of view. Many thanks to everyone for this beautiful week.

Great tour on the Eco Pro Mariana
Unfortunately, the whale shark did not show up, but 8 large manta rays while night diving with manta rays. Again and again we met dolphins. Unfortunately, the reefs suffered greatly from last year's El Niño. There was a nice sense of togetherness among the guests and the food was delicious! Roy, Sandra and Paolo did a great job!

upward potential, especially in planning
we stayed 10 days on Central Maldives tour. In general, it remained below expectations, especially because the dive guides often had no plan. One guide was new and hardly knew the Maldives. His group did the reef 2 times! and the dives were in vain. The other has often presented one plan and another plan has been submerged. first it is told that you should stay at 10 - 15 m and wait for the sharks, then suddenly it goes to 30m, which of course reduces the bottom time to 4 - 5 minutes. Also, the targets were often missed and you had to swim 10 minutes against the current. One of the highlights of Maldives - the whale sharks, we only saw briefly for 2 minutes, because we would have to anchor somewhere else first. Then they even shortened our trip because the dinghy had problems. The main boat itself is very basic but comfortable. the food was good and varied at the beginning, from day 6 rather monotonous, only rice and chicken. The crew was super nice. I will probably book another boat on next liveaboard.

Great crew and new friends
I was in the 2 weeks liverboard in the Deep South of the Maldives. I regret we didn’t have the chance to have a welcome cocktail in order to introduce the crew, what they are doing on the boat and also the guests and their expectations and a goodbye cocktail. It’s always a nice way to start and finish the trip. The boat is not fancy but it’s comfortable enough. The cabin is spacious with aircon The food is mostly the same everyday: rice/ noddles/ potatoes and curry vegetables with meat or fish. Don’t expect something special for vegetarian. I must say that it wasn’t diversify enough and too basic. Before diving , a little something to eat (more than just the Oreo biscuit)will be nice, same after the dives. The barbecue is a nice way to end the trip together and unfortunetly we didn’t have it. Regarding the dives, I was quiet disappointed about them even if we had really nice encounter with the nurse shark and tiger shark. We had a few dives where we had to swim around 10 min or more in order to reach the reef. Finally, we had 6 days and a half without nitrox because the analyzer was broken and we run out of nitrox. The crew was nice and helpful.

my trip without diving
it's complicated to describe，since I don't dive there‘s no much to say. for the cabin there’s gasoline smell when the ship departed，food is ok the crew like to talk behind people‘s back but it is not a big boat so you can imagine，for once or twice I guess it's ok but the truth is most of them are not friendly，they bully me might because I went alone and certainly I do not look fierce or whatsoever，anyhow，I can not conclude that this is a pleasant trip

You get what you pay for and nothing more
No bones about it this is a get what you pay kinda boat. Nothing more. The Mariana is a tired old gal. She’s clean, and ran well, but nothings shiny and new. The price was nice, but everything is extra on this boat including potato chips and pop. Only the cruise director/dive guide/airport greeter/jack of all trades Abdul spoke English out of 11 crew members. There was a second crew member that spoke English, but did little communication with guest. The Mariana is a small boat and in my opinion smaller than the advertised 30 meters and there was very little room for crew and it was awkward that there would be 3 or 4 crew members hanging around and smoking in the guest outdoor areas (rear seating and front seating area) almost all the time during the entire trip at all times of the day, and since they could not speak English they would just chat with each other or were on their cellphones and listening to their native music. At night they would be sleeping all over the boat, back main deck, upper floor, and on the top deck. I have been on over twenty other liveaboard and unfortunate to say this was the most unprofessional boat I have been on. Also there was not dedicated space for charging or prepping camera/video equipment. Sorry to say I would not be recommending this boat in the future.
