It was a great bucket list experience.
Highlight of the trip was the diving. The Dive masters were great and let us create great memories like crossing the equator and becoming 'shellbacks'. When they found out we were sitting at 99 dives and they decided to scheduled a night dive on the last day to get us to a 100 dives. That night the crew toasted our 100th dive. Great liveaboard experience.

Very competent dive guides that respect sea creatures.
Incredible encounters with manta rays. Great nurse shark night encounter, this was my fourth time doing this night time shark dive with different boats and this was the best approach to these animals.

- Very good dive guides, very respectful of sea life, great manta and shark encounters, nice island visits.
Lifechanging experience that will be hard to beat!
The highlight of this trip was Moofushi Corner. The simplicity of swimming against the current with hundreds of thousands of other fish, mimics the feeling of flying. Add in a very curious baby eagle ray, and it makes the experience magical. Would highly recommend and will certainly look to visit again and dive with Eco Blue!

Sharks Sharks Sharks! Exceeded expectations.
Sharks and pelagics - tiger sharks, spinner sharks, nurse sharks, whale sharks, manta rays, eagle rays, and all the "normal" reef life you'd expect - more morays than I've ever seen, huge schools of reef fish, batfish, trevally jacks. Channel diving - like being un an underwater hurricane but unparalleled "fish parade" including hundreds of sharks, then floating like Superman over the reef once releasing near NDL. Some very cool special dives (Tiger Zoo on Fuvahmulah; Fish Factory w/ many Spinners, some Reef and even a Bull Shark; Fish Tank with dozens of stingrays and hundreds of Moray Eels; a frenzied Nurse Shark dive). Professional, friendly, and customer service-focused crew, very helpful. Three late afternoon sunset stops on uninhabited tropical islands. Crossing the equator. Overall just an amazing trip.

It was pleasant.
Lunch and dinner dishes were tasty. Wished breakfast was more than just eggs and toast. Also, would have preferred more snacks in between meals other than cookies and bananas. Diving takes much energy and calories. I found myself often hungry in between meals.

Great liveaboard, awesome crew, really good diving
We booked a 11 day trip on MV Eco Blue in October 2017. Everything was well planned and organized. Still the route the boat and the choice of dive sites was handled very flexible due to weather conditions and wishes of the divers. We appreciated that very much because it gave us the chance to focus on the marine life we wanted to see the most. In our trip we saw plenty mantas, two whale sharks and many reef sharks as well as turtles. We can recommend diving in the Maldives in general and especially on the MV Eco Blue. The two guides made really a good job above and under water with organizing everything, showing us the marine life and helping wherever possible. The boat was perfectly managed by Alex who tried to meet all of our specific wishes. The food on the boat was very good. It was a mixture of western and Asian food. The crew tried to meet all of the specific wishes as well. They made extra food for us because we are vegetarian and tried to catch the desired fish for some of the other guests. All in all we had a great experience on the Eco Blue and could see all of the marine life we wished to see. We can especially recommend this boat and we are considering to book another tour on MV Eco Blue in the atolls at the south of the Maldives.

Unforgettable in every way!
First and foremost I developed new diving skills and awareness of how to deal with strong and conflicting currents, how to use hook as an aid for underwater photography. Made new friendships with mantas, eagle rays, turtles, sharks and dolphins. Live on the boat was easy and comfortable. The diving company provided me with fantastic replacement equipment to replace my broken items and make my diving pleasurable and comfortable. I will return!

The best liveaboard in the Maldives!
This was by far the best liveaboard and dive holiday I've ever been on (previously been on Leo in the Maldives and another liveaboard in the Philippines, and also diving in Indonesia, Oman, Sicily, and Iceland). The main reason for this was definitely the incredible atmosphere created by all the staff, who were so friendly and made it such a wonderful week! The boat itself is very comfortable, the food is great, and the dives were spectacular. The cabins on lower deck are beautiful wooden rooms, with powerful showers that always have hot water. The bed is made up several times a day, and the air con keeps the room cool. The food is really tasty and there is lots of it, and it is served on the table, instead of buffet style, which is much nicer. There are 3 shaded sun decks with loungers and bean bags, and there is always loads of chilled filtered water to drink. The dive tender is really large and the boat staff are so helpful - they always helped me carry my tank in and out of the boat since I had a back operation. The dives themselves were brilliant, and the briefings were always thorough and well explained. The dive guides are great - ours was Shamoon, and he was amazing! Always so friendly, fun, and helpful. The GM, Alex, was on the boat the week we were there and he was so kind, friendly, and fun! Some other amazing experiences were drinking from coconuts on a beach while listening to music with the staff and guests. Snorkelling at the back of the boat with a whale shark and dolphins who stayed all night and who we had to ourselves! Watching a pod of pilot whales from the boat - the captain followed them for us for half an hour so we could get a better look! This was one of the best holidays I've been on, and I will definitely be booking Eco Blue next time I'm in the Maldives! It surpassed my expectations on every count. Thank you so much!

Awesome dive experience with awesome guides, crews and food! All three dive guides are very friendly, well experienced and humorous. Crews are also very friendly and well serving. Foods they prepare was also top notch in my three times of live-aboard experience. No regrets by choosing Eco Blue for diving, fun to dive!

Great Fun and Great Dives
We chose this safari with an eye on the budget too, which left us some concern about the quality we were going to find. Our fears proved totally wrong: the boat was beautiful and clean, the crew was efficient and very friendly and the food was more than satisfactory. Most important: diving was great. The diving places and time were well selected and the guides were nice, competent and careful. My only recommendation is to propose something alternative to Alimatha for the night dive... the shark festival is funny, but I find it too much of a passive experience and too many divers down there...

First cruise in maldives
We were on the first trip of the boat so everything was new , we have been to hanifarubay during august so we manage to see around 35 mantas at the same spot. More over the manager allowed us to stay 2days on hanifaru bay to be able to spend more times with mantas !

Great trip to South to see great stuff
It was nice to have an opportunity to cruise down South Maldives from Malé and back. Celebrating the Equator crossing was fun. It is 100% certain to see great stuff such as Tiger Sharks, Oceanic Black Tip Sharks, Whale Sharks, school of Dolphins, Manta Rays, etc. but Hammerhead Sharks had been only far-away shadows for us. The crew manager was new in the business, which might explain his, sometimes, lack of communication and management. Overall, it was a great trip that we recommand.

Would definitely recommend Ecoblue
I loved diving with Ecoblue, and was so happy to see my first whale shark (snorkelling), along with lots of mantas and sharks. The team is friendly, hard working and knowledgeable. Our dive guides were Shamoon, Amir and Alex. I always felt safe with them, and they did their best to make the experience amazing for us, as well as being a lot of fun. There were a couple of night dives that were so memorable - the first was with mantas and the second with sharks. The BBQ on a picture-perfect tropical island was a lovely experience, too, and we spent the evening chatting and listening to Shamoon and Imad's live music under the stars. The boat was clean and stocked with everything you needed for a comfortable week. The showers were always hot. The company makes an effort environmentally by providing refillable water bottles, avoiding single use plastics where possible, offering draft beer, and providing non-toxic shower gel and shampoo. In the water they got us all to use reef hooks to prevent damage to the reef and they don't feed sharks. I did the Central Atolls trip in November and although the corals were not always pristine there was so much interesting wildlife that the entire experience was fantastic. Thank you, Ecoblue!

Outstanding and Exceptional Trip
We had two close encounters with playful Mantas - and Whaleshark inches away at the back of the boat at night, along with lots of large pelagic action in many channel dives. Eco-Blue is a "Happy Ship", well run, with a delightful crew who couldn't do more to make the trip outstanding.

If we go to the Maldives, we will chose Eco Blue (Shark II) again
From start to finish the crew's service and friendliness has been outstanding. The boat is in good shape, it is professionally run, and we have felt very welcome and at home throughout the entire stay. A great plus was the food that the chefs prepared on a daily. It was a lot better and more varied that we expected (and we are quite critical when it comes to food). Not to forget, the diving was fantastic as well! Many channels dives, loads of sharks, we've seen eagle rays, pink ray, cow feathered tail ray, marble ray, manta ray, abundance of fish - sadly we didn't see the whale shark because nature is nature ;). Long story short, next time we choose for a live aboard in the Maldives we will for sure choose Eco Blue again!

Great week on the boat, amazing diving, friendly staff & guides, great food
We really enjoyed our trip on Eco Blue. On the positive side: the boat is fairly spatious, with plenty of space to hangout / chill / relax before, between or after the dives. The dives were amazing: I guess we were fairly lucky, we had 3 amazing dives with mantas (1 at night, 2 during the day), got to snorkel with a whaleshark at the back of the boat, saw plenty of sharks & turtles, did some nice drifts in the current and got to see plenty of smaller fishes / crabs and other crustaceans. The staff & guides were super friendly, and the atmosphere on board was very relaxed. And most importantly, the food was amazing, super tasty and varied during the entire stay. On the "meh" side: we were a bit disappointed by the cabins, they looked a bit more spacious on the photos than in reality. We also would have preferred spending a bit more time away from Male and dive more in Ari / Vaavu atolls, being back at the airport marina's on Saturday at midday for a Sunday departure was a bit early, as there is not much to do when the boat is anchored in the marina.

Great Week of Diving
My wife and I really enjoyed the dive safari around the central atolls on Eco Blue. Pros: the boat is big enough with ample space to hangout and relax. Everything is straight forward without being too fancy. We had one of the upper deck cabins which was spacious enough for an 8-day trip. Storage is plenty with shelfs & hangers. The bathroom is a combination of all-in-one as you find it on most liveaboards (we prefer separate shower; however this was not a show-stopper at all). The room and bathroom have ventilation/windows which was nice getting a cool breeze in, every now and then. The cuisine was outstanding, plentiful and tasty (with a nice variety of salads, vegetables, fish, meat, noodles, etc.). On the drinking part there was a good variation of beer, wine, and other liquor. Vessel & dhoni: both were clean and fully functional to Maldives standards. Given that we were going at the end of the season, some minor wear & tear was to be expected but did not in any case affect the dive operation. Staff/dive guides/briefing: Just outstanding, very friendly, approachable and helpful at any time, the dive briefings & announcements were one of a kind clearly stating the dive objective, safety-, entry-, exit- strategy with detailed hand-drawn dive maps. The boat/dhoni captain & crew together with the dive guides hit the dive locations & current situation spot on. We had, as expected, some rougher seas during the dives, but always were picked-up without delay keeping every bodies safety the upmost priority. Diving: Given the time of the year May 2021, the vis was still fine. The dives were generally 60 minutes long or 50 bar. Buddy pairs could ‘go up’ as they got low on Nitrox/NDL. Diving was a mix of strong, medium and almost no current experience. We did one night-dive with mantas, one night-snorkeling with wale sharks, a dawn dive with nurse sharks (amazing !!) and two wreck dives. Despite the variant visibility we were very lucky to see plenty of sharks, turtles, rays, octopus, moray eels, lots of small critters and fish. Dive companion: As this is the most ‘unknown’ until you arrive on the liveaboard, we truly enjoyed the international mix containing of Germans (11, German-operated boat), Dutch (2), English (1) French (1), Russian (2). Generally, the diver-level was advanced, with photographers, just-divers and two doing his OW & AOW / Nitrox course. Groups were put together in the right way (hard-core photographers together). Cons: Aircon in room is a bit weak and sometimes outside noise from Aircon unit (minor & both were no deal breaker). For the early-arrivers a check-dive on the same day of arrival would be nice as well a 2nd dive-offer before the departure day for people who stay in Maldives or have late flight (24-hours no flight rule). Possibly retuning mid-day prior to departure day could have allowed for additional and more preferred diving away from Male (to reduce the marina time in Male on Saturday as much as possible). However, we understand that the Covid testing requirement possibly affects the schedule. Overall: The staff & guides were unbelievably friendly combined with a tranquil atmosphere on board. Food was amazing, super tasty. Diving for us never disappoints in the Maldives and we apricate every effort by the crew/guides to find the best underwater spots. The disembarking process with Covid-19 testing was organized very well with full support from the crew. An excellent value for money experience.

Not the best experinence
No introduktion of crew No introduktion of guests No evaluation of dives First 8 dives was not interesting. So many other interesting divesites around. I was left by boat in surface water with SMB even I was highly visible and very close by boat. Situation was not dealt with in any way. I asked for evalution on what happened. They said they would find out and come back to me. They never did. We were a big group. Often on too small dive sites so it got very crowded at times. Quality of foods was not good. Coffee is Nescafe, bread is toastbread and cake was supermarket cake - not freshbaked. Local dishes with fish were good. Not a good armotphere among the guests.
