The MV Carpe Vita, a sister ship to the Carpe Diem and Carpe Novo liveaboards, is a luxury yacht offering year-round diving in the Maldives. There are 10 comfortable cabins spread over 3 decks, each with private bathroom facilities, individually controlled AC, storage space, safety deposit boxes, and a desk and chair. On the lower deck are 6 standard cabins, which have one queen-size bed and a super single bed, the main deck has two superior cabins, which have king-size beds, which can be separated into two super single beds and ocean views. The upper deck has 2 VIP spacious suites with a California King bed and ocean views.
Social areas aboard the Carpe Vita liveaboard include the air-conditioned salon and lounge, equipped with a flat-screen TV and entertainment system. Meals are prepared by a fine-dining chef and served semi-buffet style at the back of the boat's open-air dining and bar area. There are 3 partially shaded sun decks with comfortable loungers where guests can soak up the sun and enjoy the sea breeze.
Carpe Vita dive itineraries explore some of the best dive sites in the Maldives. Cruises are seven to ten nights long, and divers can see everything from pelagics like mantas, sharks, and whale sharks to tiny shrimps, nudibranchs, and ghost pipefish. Diving takes place from the accompanying dive dhoni (boat), and free Nitrox is available for those certified.

Best diving experience ever!!!
I really really enjoyed this trip and will definitely pick this boat next time when I come to Maldives for diving safari. The crew is super nice and attentive. They really did everything to provide us the best experience, including food, choices of diving sites, briefing, assessing the conditions and navigation. Super thanks to our guide Naathi, who is very good at looking for interesting things and knowledgeable about the marine life!!!We saw large groups of nurse sharks, sting rays and a couple of times of manta! The last two nights we even snorkeled with three whale sharks! Very unique experience! This trip basically fulfilled all my wishes！

It’s not exactly a spa and much better than that
The Carpe Vita was my fist liveaboard. I did as positively surprised about the space and food quality. As well as about the crew and diving in Maldives. My drip was in Sep. 2020 during Covid and is likely not compatible to the masses usually on and under the water. Anyhow, this trip with Carpe Vita showed me the joy of liveaboards and I am grateful for that.

Perfect trip
All in all it was a perfect trip. A motivated crew, the boat was in good conditions and there are still some good underwater spots on the maledives. Thumps up

Diving with Manta rays and sharks was fantastic. The meals were really great with variety and excellent choice. Bathroom of cabin #2 could do with a little renovation

Amazing diving trip with great crew, delicious food and choice sites
I had the best-ever liveaboard experience with Carpe Vita. The logistics was like clockwork! The crew knew the right sites to get to to ensure the guests saw the best the Maldives had to offer. The dive planning was great with clear dive briefings, including Plan B. Food was variable and delicious. Thank you

A dream Liveaboard on the Carpe Vita with lots of beautiful dives, great underwater life and delicious food.
For us it was the first experience with a liveaboard trip.We were helped very well (by email and by phone) by Liveaboard.com.After our original trip was unfortunately canceled due to a charter of the original boat, a suitable solution was looked for together with LiveAboard.com and the boat owner. Very nice and professionally acted and solved.We had a great time on board the Carpe Vita under the guidance of chapter Adam. That started at the airport with the warm welcome. The Carpe Vita boat is very comfortable, spacious and in our opinion also luxurious.Lots of places to sit and relax. Both in the sun and in the shade or in the air conditioning or on the aft deck. A pleasant layout.The cabins are really spacious and equipped with all the comforts you want on a diving trip.Enough space to store everything and also enough sockets to charge things.A spacious bathroom with, toilet, double sink and large walk-in shower. Always warm fresh water. A well-functioning air conditioner that is virtually silent. A large nice lying bed in which you can also lie comfortably as a tall Dutchman.Nice that there was room to dry things at the front of the boat (equipped with good sturdy clips to prevent the wind from blowing away), The wetsuits stay in place and dry on the dive doni/dinghy.The bath towels were changed every few days and you could dry them on the aft deck. Again, a sturdy windproof clip for each cabin.The food on board was fantastic. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were always a party. Wide choice of various dishes (also vegetarian), excellent quality and very tasty. Tribute to the Chef.The room was serviced daily. Very nice to find your towels as a work of art every day. What a sweet gentleman who enthusiastically waved us goodbye every day and welcomed us back on board.Of course you come for the diving. As far as we were concerned, that was well arranged. The variety of dives and locations was fine. A reef/wall, a number of dives in one of the many channels with currents (reef diving), diving hanging from a reef hook (we had a strong current at Fish Head), diving with manta;' s in the night, a wreck dive, several Thila's (submarine "mountains"). A fantastic dive in the oceanic swell along a reef. Snorkeling with a whale shark. The variety of dives and locations was fine. We were able to tick off our "wish list" except for the Hammerhead and Tigershark (both and especially the Tigershark a super small chance of this trip). It is and remains nature. But we were so happy with the Mantis Schrimp, the Mantas, the Napoleaon, the Whale Shark, the Dolphins and the many (variety) Sharks. In that respect, also tribute to Chakku.Keep in mind that the dive guides are really guides. You really have to be able to dive together with your buddy. You are responsible for your own dive and must be able to save yourself. They are not instructors who will watch and help you the whole dive. Of course in case of emergency they will spring into action, but they are your guide and not your instructor.Being able to launch a DSMB (easily and quickly) (even in strong currents) is a must in our opinion. Also, having a Nitrox/Enriched Air specialty is a plus, as is possessing an Advanced "padi" and/or Deep specialty. Many dives quickly go to 25 to 30 meters (this is where the sharks are, among other things) and at the end of the dive (taking into account the ascent speed) go up relatively quickly to the safety stop at 5 meters. That safety stop is often in "the blue". Hence the need to be able to launch a DSMB.Some experience with diving in currents and dealing with a reef hook is nice. Reading or watching (youtube) beforehand how this works, if you have never done it before helps enormously.We, the C-group, had Chakku as Dive Team Leader. Extraordinary
Everything about the CV was terrific: the dive sites were fabulous - sharks, rays, fish species that I've never seen before. The food was great; the ship was comfortable, and the crew members, especially the dive team, went out of their way to assure a perfect experience. There was never a question that safety was paramount, the dive team made sure of that. July may not be the ideal time of year for the Maldives, but it didn't matter - the experience was superb.
