The Carpe Novo is the largest yacht of the Carpe Diem fleet offering year-round diving in the Maldives. 12 comfortable cabins spread over 3 decks cater to 22 guests onboard. The Junior Suites, located on the upper deck, have double or twin beds and ocean views. The 6 standard cabins located on the lower deck have either one queen-size bed and a single bed or two single beds. There are also two single suites located on the main deck, ideal for solo travelers. Also on the main deck is the large air-conditioned salon with panoramic views, flat screen TV, entertainment system and library. The upper deck serves freshly prepared dishes at the al-fresco dining table so guests can enjoy the stunning views and sea air. The sun deck has plenty of padded loungers and a partially shaded seating area for tanning in between dives or enjoying a sunset cocktail.

Itineraries on Carpe Novo cover some of the Maldives' best dive sites. The classical routes are 7-10 nights long and explore the Male, Ari, Vaavu and Rasdhoo atolls to name a few. The Deep South trips are for more experienced divers who will be rewarded with hammerhead encounters and thrilling channel diving. Diving takes place from the dedicated dive dhoni (boat) which is fully equipped to give divers all the space they need for kitting up, gear storage, and rinsing. Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!!!!
I can’t praise the Carpe Novo crew enough, They worked so hard to make sure we had a fantastic dive trip and made my year by finding a Whale Shark. Great crew, fantastic week aboard the Carpe Novo!
We had a fantastic week at the Carpe Novo doing the central atolls route. From the moment we arrived to the meet up point at the airport, everything was very well organised. We were split into groups for diving and Naveem, our guide, was fantastic - very chilled but always aware of what was going on and a phenomenal eye for microscopic fish! He always made sure to share what he spotted. Dive sites were picked on a daily basis for the following date, adjusting the schedule to try to avoid spots with too many boats at the same time. We were really pleased with the ethical decision that Zina, the guides lead, made when we went to spot the whale shark - we did find it, but so did 300+ snorkelers, so we jumped on the water at first and then decided to leave to minimise disturbance to the shark and to carry on with our dives for the rest of the day in a calmer environment. The boat itself is very spacious, with plenty of breakout and sitting areas. The cabins are large, with perfectly functioning A/C and a huge bathroom. Food was varied and plentiful. The barman was always aware of what everyone needed it. The crew were fishing several times for fresh fish, which we then enjoyed as sashimi in a few times! We would not hesitate to book another trip aboard the Carpe Novo as we loved it!

Great experience
Boat condition was really great, even we got the under deck room, room was spacious and especially toilet was super clean and big. Staffs were all friendly and remember each divers taste and needs and gave service accordingly. Food was fantastic! Chief is always caring about how the guests think about food! Diving was fantastic! Diving guides hears about what guests want to see and plan accordingly ! Definitely recommend the trip with Carpe Novo team.

Awesome first trip in the Maldives !
Had a great time on the Carpe Novo - It was my first time in the Maldives and I got to see much more pelagic wildlife than I expected. The boat was overall well maintained and spacious. The night dive with the manta show was really quite exceptional. The food was generous and varied - they catered to everyone's needs. Overall it was a great trip and would not hesitate to book with them again

I enjoyed my second trip on Carpe Novo very much, this was my very best dive trip at all up to now. The tour motto „Manta Madness“ did not disappoint, we saw a lot of Mantas. My dive guide Naveen was very experienced, engaged and caring.

Fantastic Trip on an excellent boat
This 42 m boat offers a lot of space as is, however, we were only 6 guests on the trip. Yet the staff and dive guides were all very attentive and accesible. We were hunting for whale sharks and managed to swim with 2. The mantas were really cool as well!

The channel diving was a new experience for us. We have not done a long trip like this before, and we have really enjoyed ourselves. We really enjoyed being with other divers who shared the same interests as us. The crew really made us feel conformable and the trip very enjoyable to be on.

Awesome trip!
We had an awesome time on the Carpe Novo and would repeat in a heartbeat! Our first time in the Maledives and definitely not the last time, great diving! Service was incredible, you didn't even notice how and when they did it but everything you could think of was always prepared. You come back on board after the early morning dive and they are just carrying out of the kitchen the first plates of scrambled eggs :-) Dive guides really nice and knowledgeable and we were lucky to have awesome fellow guests, really good group of people. The standard of the boat is really high, cabins extremely spacious and the bathroom as luxurious as in a hotel - you wouldn't even think you're on a boat when you enter your cabin. The food was great, there was always a good mix of european and local cuisine and everything well prepared. They frequently caught fishes during the day and prepared sashimi for dinner - just awesome! Prices for drinks very reasonable (not like what I've heard from the Maledive resorts). All in all we had the best time and can only recommend! Big thumbs up!

great experience!
This is my first liveaboard, and the experience was very good with Carpe Novo. The dive guides and crews are all very nice. All the briefing are explained in detail with great drawing. The boat overall is very comfortable and kept clean all the time. Food is good too, usually more western flavored food with curry fish. Unfortunately we did only 24 dives because couple dives got canceled. One downside is each diving group has 1 guide leading 7-8 people, I would prefer a smaller group size. But overall I had a great time and would be interested in coming back again.

Memories for ever !
A really amazing experience. The reality was better than my expectations. We had everything, mantas, sharks, whale shark… Maldives are amazing. The crew is super friendly, my single room was very comfortable with an amazing panoramic window. Everything is very clean. I really recommend. And the evening on the beach is also a super memory. Carpe Novo - I would book again
- admired a lot of very different underwater life (thanks to Dinah, who knew the dive sites very well and showed us a lot); due to the changeable weather and hardly any current, fewer big fish were to be seen; However, it was well balanced - relaxed time on board - the crew has a lot of things under control and also takes care of the wishes of the guests quite well- the ship offered a lot of space (unlike on many other boats I've been on) - Food was very good and varied enough for me

A very comfortable boat to explore the Maldives with a great team!
Had a great week on Carpe Novo - ate like a queen with fresh fruits daily and a couple times even had fresh-caught sashimi on the boat! Prasanna, the barman, did an excellent job learning everyone's needs and communicating about specifics at mealtimes. The room and bathroom (booked shared twin room, stayed in "Turtle" room) were much larger than expected with perfect AC, and the new/updated boat is likely reflected in the cost of the trip - which I found fair but not cheap. Diving was as expected for the region with a lot of fish life, mantas, and sharks, even if we weren't lucky enough to find whale sharks. Dive guides were mixed in experience based on discussion with other guests, but personally, I had a great time: Zinah was my group's guide throughout the trip and was competent, a strong leader (was also dive lead), and one of the most anticipatory/observant underwater dive guides I've ever had. He communicated with other boats in the area and made dive plans/schedules to avoid the crowds as much as possible; underwater, he has a great eye for macro things and significant skill at managing individual divers' needs to maximize everyone's experience. He notices the little things and fixes them before they become big things. Would not hesitate to dive with him again and would highly recommend this impressive individual! Overall, the whole team and boat worked well together and were always seen working - cleaning, fishing, coordinating, and planning - the trip ran so smoothly and without a hitch and customer service was 5/5! Would dive on this boat again.

Awesome!! Would absolutely book again on this ship. Fab crew, food and snorkelling/Diving!!!!
The staff kept you informed every step of the way with regards to the dive/snorkelling sites and the currents. Always had a dive/snorkelling briefing before every dive which gave you great information about the depths and the expected direction of the currents. Staff were awesome both on the Carpe Novo and the dhoni (dive boat). I was a snorkeller (my friends were divers) and every single time I wished to snorkel one of the crew snorkelled with me pointing out the wildlife and of course to keep me safe. Saw Manta's/Whale Shark and Nurse sharks. The food and especially the fruit were fabulous. All made/cut fresh daily by the chef and assistant chef. Room - The bathrooms were big and after talking to some other passengers some of the largest they have seen on a liveaboard. Rooms were big and loved the fact that they offered solo rooms which I had !! Not many liveaboards offer a solo option. By the time you return from the am dive your rooms and beds had been done!! Would thoroughly recommend this trip to all !!!

I had a great stay at Carpe Novo - From the moment we stepped aboard, the crew made us feel at home with their warm hospitality and impeccable service. The boat itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, offering everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The guides offered there support 24/7, making a great job to ensure safe and in the same time fun dives. The food was amazing, with a lot of fresh options and it was served in an amazing open-air dining area. In between dives, there were plenty of opportunities to relax on the sun deck, enjoy a cup of coffee or take a nap in the saloon. I enjoyed the stay so much that I directly booked a second week to spend on the boat. I would highly recommend this trip to any diver and can't wait to return.
