The Carpe Novo is the largest yacht of the Carpe Diem fleet offering year-round diving in the Maldives. 12 comfortable cabins spread over 3 decks cater to 22 guests onboard. The Junior Suites, located on the upper deck, have double or twin beds and ocean views. The 6 standard cabins located on the lower deck have either one queen-size bed and a single bed or two single beds. There are also two single suites located on the main deck, ideal for solo travelers. Also on the main deck is the large air-conditioned salon with panoramic views, flat screen TV, entertainment system and library. The upper deck serves freshly prepared dishes at the al-fresco dining table so guests can enjoy the stunning views and sea air. The sun deck has plenty of padded loungers and a partially shaded seating area for tanning in between dives or enjoying a sunset cocktail.

Itineraries on Carpe Novo cover some of the Maldives' best dive sites. The classical routes are 7-10 nights long and explore the Male, Ari, Vaavu and Rasdhoo atolls to name a few. The Deep South trips are for more experienced divers who will be rewarded with hammerhead encounters and thrilling channel diving. Diving takes place from the dedicated dive dhoni (boat) which is fully equipped to give divers all the space they need for kitting up, gear storage, and rinsing. There is also a dedicated camera room with charging ports and a dry area for changing batteries and memory cards, so you don't miss out on the action.

Maldives Magic - great diving trip!
Dive boat was comfortable, though one of the oldest I have been on (over 15 liveaboard experiences). Meals were good and hot water was available in showers after night dives! - I appreciated having a dedicated camera room and the separate dive boat was very comfortable (wide and plenty of room) We had 16 passenger on boat - so was a comfortable number of divers and my dive group consisted of 4 + guide.

Diving conditions were great - completed 18 dives over the 7 days.. Dove with 12+ mantas in open ocean and then next to whale sharks - fantastic!. Dive guides worked hard to find the best conditions for viewing sharks, mantas, and whale sharks..

If you want to visit the Maldives a liveaboard is the perfect way to get to know the country - the underwater world which is one of the most interesting attractions of the country, but you can also see a lot of islands from the boat and understand the geography of the Maldives better - combine it with some short visits of the cities and islands like Male etc. and stay a few days in a nice remote resort and it will be a perfect holiday

5 stars for everything except the dive team. My dive guide Naveen was happy to make his group of guests wait for him to take macro shots whenever it suited him. When questioned became defensive and responded unprofessionally, dive boss could've done better to fix the situation. The rest of the guides were amazing. when i changed groups and went to Rio, he was great Everything else was fantastic. Who goes to the Maldives for Macro????

We will recommend this live aboard to friends anytime, expectations were well exceeded.
The congregation of stingrays and sharks near Male was impressive, loved watching the Mantas at the cleaning station with garden eels below, being surrounded by nurse sharks (and others) was supercool, the whalesharks feeding at night in Ari Atoll was definitely a highlight, ghost pipe fish in corals were very exciting, frogfish, leaf fish, turtles, cannot list it all. snorkeling with 40-50 Mantas in Hanifaru bay topped it all. Loved the night dive at yellow wall. The crew were very kind, attentive and supportive. I appreciated the surprise birthday decorations and cake to share with other divers. That was really unexpected. The food was outstanding throughout the trip. The boat and Dinghy were always clean. The crew put tremendous effort into a beautiful beach dinner and setting on an island. The food again was incredible. We also appreciated clean towels for after diving every day. I likely forgot other highlights. Bottom line: absolutely loved the trip with Carpe Novo and crew.

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!!!!
I can’t praise the Carpe Novo crew enough, They worked so hard to make sure we had a fantastic dive trip and made my year by finding a Whale Shark. The boat is very comfortable and the food is excellent! I was super sad to have to leave after a week of world class diving. Thank you to the Carpe Novo team.

Awesome trip!
We had an awesome time on the Carpe Novo and would repeat in a heartbeat! Our first time in the Maledives and definitely not the last time, great diving! Service was incredible, you didn't even notice how and when they did it but everything you could think of was always prepared. You come back on board after the early morning dive and they are just carrying out of the kitchen the first plates of scrambled eggs :-) Dive guides really nice and knowledgeable and we were lucky to have awesome fellow guests, really good group of people. The standard of the boat is really high, cabins extremely spacious and the bathroom as luxurious as in a hotel - you wouldn't even think you're on a boat when you enter your cabin. The food was great, there was always a good mix of european and local cuisine and everything well prepared. They frequently caught fishes during the day and prepared sashimi for dinner - just awesome! Prices for drinks very reasonable (not like what I've heard from the Maledive resorts). All in all we had the best time and can only recommend! Big thumbs up!

We enjoyed the trip a lot!
We did a 10 day trip with Carpe Novo, and we really satisfied! The diving was mostly amazing - we saw mantas, sharks on every dive, a whale shark. We also visited some beautiful reefs to look for macro life, but that wasn’t the focus. The dive guides and the whole crew were very friendly and made our experience on board really wonderful. The food was amazing, with a good combination of local and international dishes. We had some divers who were on that boat a couple of years ago, and they pointed out that everything was renovated and is brand new. We would recommend that boat and that company for sure, as we had a great time with them 🤩

Boat condition was really great, even we got the under deck room, room was spacious and especially toilet was super clean and big. Staffs were all friendly and remember each divers taste and needs and gave service accordingly. Food was fantastic! Chief is always caring about how the guests think about food! Diving was fantastic! Diving guides hears about what guests want to see and plan accordingly ! Definitely recommend the trip with Carpe Novo team.

Amazing dives, while treated like princes on board !
Thus was my first liveaboard, and definitely not the last one! Everything was more than excellent: dives were incredibles, divemaster and guides super attentive and serious, they took really good care of us, with particular attention to all diver ability and necessities. We dived with tons of huge Mantas, sharks, rays, schools of fishes, octopuses...well, it was AMAZING. The staff on board was adorable, food excellent, room are comfortable and clean. I will certainly come back to explore Maldives with the other itineraries proposed by Carpe Diem !

The divers are mainly European and American divers. The diving atmosphere is very good, the diving briefing before entering the water is very detailed, and everyone will remember the log after getting into the water, and I look out of place if I don't remember the log. The dive shop records everyone's maximum depth and diving time every day, and gives a summary log at the end of the trip, with the dive guide's signature.The boat is relatively new, the liveaboard meals are good, there is seafood and fruit ice cream every day, and there is a paid beer. The service on board was also great and made a lot of new friends. Seeing the manta and various sharks, except not seeing the mobula and whale sharks, was the perfect liveaboard experience.

Fantastic Trip on an excellent boat
This 42 m boat offers a lot of space as is, however, we were only 6 guests on the trip. Yet the staff and dive guides were all very attentive and accesible. We were hunting for whale sharks and managed to swim with 2. The mantas were really cool as well!

Beautiful liveaboard in a relaxed atmosphere
We were very spoiled by the crew, the dives are in a relaxed atmosphere. Our beginner diver was even able to get the AOWD and the Nitrox certification thanks to his instructor Albi. Our non-smoker was accompanied snorkeling on most dives and thus had her manta and whale shark encounters. The junior suites were extremely comfortable. The food superb. All-round service at its finest. It was our 1st liveaboard experience, diving holidays will probably only take place on the ship in the future.
