The Carpe Novo is the largest yacht of the Carpe Diem fleet offering year-round diving in the Maldives. 12 comfortable cabins spread over 3 decks cater to 22 guests onboard. The Junior Suites, located on the upper deck, have double or twin beds and ocean views. The 6 standard cabins located on the lower deck have either one queen-size bed and a single bed or two single beds. There are also two single suites located on the main deck, ideal for solo travelers. Also on the main deck is the large air-conditioned salon with panoramic views, flat screen TV, entertainment system and library. The upper deck serves freshly prepared dishes at the al-fresco dining table so guests can enjoy the stunning views and sea air. The sun deck has plenty of padded loungers and a partially shaded seating area for tanning in between dives or enjoying a sunset cocktail.

Itineraries on Carpe Novo cover some of the Maldives' best dive sites. The classical routes are 7-10 nights long and explore the Male, Ari, Vaavu and Rasdhoo atolls to name a few. The Deep South trips are for more experienced divers who will be rewarded with hammerhead encounters and thrilling channel diving. Diving takes place from the dedicated dive dhoni (boat) which is fully equipped to give divers all the space they need for kitting up, gear storage, and rinsing. Great crew, fantastic week aboard the Carpe Novo!
We had a fantastic week at the Carpe Novo doing the central atolls route. From the moment we arrived to the meet up point at the airport, everything was very well organised. We were split into groups for diving and Naveem, our guide, was fantastic - very chilled but always aware of what was going on and a phenomenal eye for microscopic fish! He always made sure to share what he spotted. Dive sites were picked on a daily basis for the following date, adjusting the schedule to try to avoid spots with too many boats at the same time. We were really pleased with the ethical decision that Zina, the guides lead, made when we went to spot the whale shark - we did find it, but so did 300+ snorkelers, so we jumped on the water at first and then decided to leave to minimise disturbance to the shark and to carry on with our dives for the rest of the day in a calmer environment. The boat itself is very spacious, with plenty of breakout and sitting areas. The cabins are large, with perfectly functioning A/C and a huge bathroom. Food was varied and plentiful. The barman was always aware of what everyone needed it. The crew were fishing several times for fresh fish, which we then enjoyed as sashimi in a few times! We would not hesitate to book another trip aboard the Carpe Novo as we loved it!

Awesome!! Would absolutely book again on this ship. Fab crew, food and snorkelling/Diving!!!!
The staff kept you informed every step of the way with regards to the dive/snorkelling sites and the currents. Always had a dive/snorkelling briefing before every dive which gave you great information about the depths and the expected direction of the currents. Staff were awesome both on the Carpe Novo and the dhoni (dive boat). I was a snorkeller (my friends were divers) and every single time I wished to snorkel one of the crew snorkelled with me pointing out the wildlife and of course to keep me safe. Saw Manta's/Whale Shark and Nurse sharks. The food and especially the fruit were fabulous. All made/cut fresh daily by the chef and assistant chef. Room - The bathrooms were big and after talking to some other passengers some of the largest they have seen on a liveaboard. Rooms were big and loved the fact that they offered solo rooms which I had !! Not many liveaboards offer a solo option. By the time you return from the am dive your rooms and beds had been done!! Would thoroughly recommend this trip to all !!!

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!!!!
I can’t praise the Carpe Novo crew enough, They worked so hard to make sure we had a fantastic dive trip and made my year by finding a Whale Shark. I enjoyed my second trip on Carpe Novo very much, this was my very best dive trip at all up to now. The tour motto „Manta Madness“ did not disappoint, we saw a lot of Mantas. My dive guide Naveen was very experienced, engaged and caring.

Mantas, mantas, mantas!!
Was excellent in every regard. Food was always very good and the cabins were cleaned multiple times a day. Diving was excellent, guides know the best spots and how to tackle them to get the best experience. E.g. night dive in feshdoo lagoon with many mantas, cleaning station, whalesharks in the night etc. Had the best manta encounters in my life - thank you very much!!

Awesome trip!
We had an awesome time on the Carpe Novo and would repeat in a heartbeat! Our first time in the Maledives and definitely not the last time, great diving! Service was incredible, you didn't even notice how and when they did it but everything you could think of was always prepared. You come back on board after the early morning dive and they are just carrying out of the kitchen the first plates of scrambled eggs :-) Dive guides really nice and knowledgeable and we were lucky to have awesome fellow guests, really good group of people. The standard of the boat is really high, cabins extremely spacious and the bathroom as luxurious as in a hotel - you wouldn't even think you're on a boat when you enter your cabin. The food was great, there was always a good mix of european and local cuisine and everything well prepared. They frequently caught fishes during the day and prepared sashimi for dinner - just awesome! Prices for drinks very reasonable (not like what I've heard from the Maledive resorts). All in all we had the best time and can only recommend! Big thumbs up!

We enjoyed the trip a lot!
We did a 10 day trip with Carpe Novo, and we really satisfied! The diving was mostly amazing - we saw mantas, sharks on every dive, a whale shark. We also visited some beautiful reefs to look for macro life, but that wasn’t the focus. The dive guides and the whole crew were very friendly and made our experience on board really wonderful. The food was amazing, with a good combination of local and international dishes. We had some divers who were on that boat a couple of years ago, and they pointed out that everything was renovated and is brand new. We would recommend that boat and that company for sure, as we had a great time with them 🤩

A very comfortable boat to explore the Maldives with a great team!
Had a great week on Carpe Novo - ate like a queen with fresh fruits daily and a couple times even had fresh-caught sashimi on the boat! Prasanna, the barman, did an excellent job learning everyone's needs and communicating about specifics at mealtimes. The room and bathroom (booked shared twin room, stayed in "Turtle" room) were much larger than expected with perfect AC, and the new/updated boat is likely reflected in the cost of the trip - which I found fair but not cheap. Diving was as expected for the region with a lot of fish life, mantas, and sharks, even if we weren't lucky enough to find whale sharks. Dive guides were mixed in experience based on discussion with other guests, but personally, I had a great time: Zinah was my group's guide throughout the trip and was competent, a strong leader (was also dive lead), and one of the most anticipatory/observant underwater dive guides I've ever had. He communicated with other boats in the area and made dive plans/schedules to avoid the crowds as much as possible; underwater, he has a great eye for macro things and significant skill at managing individual divers' needs to maximize everyone's experience. He notices the little things and fixes them before they become big things. Would not hesitate to dive with him again and would highly recommend this impressive individual! Overall, the whole team and boat worked well together and were always seen working - cleaning, fishing, coordinating, and planning - the trip ran so smoothly and without a hitch and customer service was 5/5! Would dive on this boat again.

A couple I had met has been to the Maldives 18x - they said that there's always a surprise here. Got to see the very rare ornate eagle ray this trip. Though my sailing was in the low season - which can be a disappointment in terms of pelagics - I still enjoyed my trip and the service was outstanding.

Easy drinking water access, hot water showers. Very friendly service, would try to address any issues as best as they could. Educated on skills as needed for the dives, any wildlife seen.

Had a great time on the Carpe Novo - It was my first time in the Maldives and I got to see much more pelagic wildlife than I expected. The boat was overall well maintained and spacious. The night dive with the manta show was really quite exceptional. The food was generous and varied - they catered to everyone's needs. Overall it was a great trip and would not hesitate to book with them again

Stunning boat and diving
The boat is one of the best I have undertaken a trip on. Cabins are huge and the general areas are all well appointed and spacious. The dive itinerary was excellent and the dive guides were very impressive with the briefings and general support. Crew on the boat are 5 star.

The "Best of Maldives Tour" was great. We saw a lot of sharks, had a night dive with manta rays and one with nurse sharks and other animals. There were only ten divers on board, so we had a lot of space. The food was fantastic, very varied and extremely tasty.

Outstanding liveabord experience.
The Whaleshark dive is right at the top, not only did it fulfill a tick on our bucket list, it was an experience of 30 odd minutes that normally only lasts 3 or 4. All dives for us offered something different and this is what we came to do - loved every minute. Diving always makes you hungry. The food on board was excellent at every mealtime and we were very well looked after. Diving makes you tired and our cabin was a comfortable, spacious and welcome retreat with perfect view 😎

Excellent Liveaboard
This was a the Deep South Itinerary which was a truly memorable experience. Numerous Shark, Manta and Turtle encounters. Carpe Novo is an excellent boat which really feels spacious. I had a standard bedroom which was huge and had an equally large bathroom. The crew really make the trip special. A variety of delicious food with lots to choose from including an island BBQ on one of the nights. The dive guides are very knowledgeable and take you to the best spots. All in all a truly memorable week and I will return.

Great dive experience in the Maldives
Due to the remote location our expectations for food on the boat wasn't that high but we were pleasantly surprised by the abundance of fresh fruit & vegetable options available to us at every meal. The boat rooms are spacious with a large shower & bath. They are kept clean with daily service & fresh towels are provided. The true star of the show is the abundance of underwater life. Even though it wasn't the season (April), we had whale sharks along with many other kinds of shark, Manta rays, octopus, cleaning stations, macro life & a ton a reef fish. The underwater life is amazing & prolific. If I had the time I would have stayed another week like 4 other guests did! Thanks to Carpe Novo for a great experience.
