“The crew was EXCEPTIONALLY helpful and knowledgeable”
The Ratu Laut - meaning Queen of the Sea, offers year-round liveaboard diving in Indonesia. At 30m long she caters to just 12 guests in 2 large quad cabins and 2 smaller twin cabins. All cabins feature AC, fresh towels, and linen. 2 shared bathrooms are located on the upper deck. Also on the upper deck is a large open-air shaded dining area and lounge. The top deck is home to the sun deck with sunbeds and bean bags.
Diving focuses on Raja Ampat, and the cruise director will choose the best dive sites on the day based on the weather, currents, and tides. Divers can expect to do up to 4 dives per day, including a sunset or night dive. The captain, dive guides, and crew of the Ratu Laut have years of experience in the Indonesian waters. The Ratu Laut phinisi is operated by Barefoot Conservation NGO, and all profits from the trips go towards science, research, and conservation programmes, so you can rest assured that you are helping the marine environment when you dive with the Ratu Laut. Marine Biologists and Manta Ray Scientists will also be on the trip to collect data and do presentations on the research being conducted on manta rays.

in shortest time the best views of my life... yet!
The manta rays were the very best followed by "Melissa's Garden", "blue magic", "my reef" and the short meeting with a dolphin under water. But definitely the group and the crew and my instructor were also absolutely worth of joining this trip. Thank you very much!

Incredible trip :)
The liveaboard was incredibly beautiful. On the one hand this fascinating underwater world, so colorful, so much life, Raja Ampat especially Misool is a dream! Plus the small "shore excursions" (Heart Lagoon, Sunset, Jellyfish Lagoon...). On the other hand, this helpful, always friendly crew, with whom you have a lot of fun. If you want luxury, you should look for another ship. If you want to dive and have a good atmosphere on board, this is the place for you. The ship is simple but clean and has everything you need. At the beginning it is a little strange that the toilets are right next to the dining table, but you get used to that very quickly. Diving is professional. Dive guides are great!! (Thanks Oves for swapping masks underwater, because my new borrowed mask was very foggy (old one broke). Now I could see the manta rays and you could only see shadows...)Thank you all, I had a wonderful holiday and I want to come back very soon!

Amazing staff and breath taking dives
Most of the staff were super kind, polite, Wendy our dive master and manager of the boat was super nice, always taking care of us and making sure we were having a great experience overall. The dive sites were really beautiful, but also having the chance of doing different things like visiting Arborek island and Barefoot NGO work with the local community, doing a tracking to see Birds Paradise in Waigeo, understanding better about coral diversity and having the freedom to change plans by being in a Live Aboard.

Paradise found: Ratu Laut, the dream making crew
Experiencing Raja Ampat with dive masters who truly love the place is a major highlight. It was apparent that the crew knew what they were doing and the knowledge they passed to us enriched the entire experience. The entire focus of the trip was dive dive dive and we never missed a beat.

- I would say the location was the best thing and dive sites, but never have I had the pleasure to sail with such an amazing crew who created the experience of a lifetime. Wendy, our leader, put together an action packed week and still managed to keep it chill. The entire time felt like an itinerary tailor made for the small amount of guests onboard. And knowing our money is going towards conservation efforts is a major bonus as well.
