God spared no expense when he created the treasure of Raja Ampat
I was truly blown away by the coral landscapes. And, the overwhelming amount of life that surrounds you while diving. The wall diving here is incredible with gorgeous drop offs. I probably am the first person from Smithton, Illinois(USA) to dive R.A.. But, it was well worth the time, effort, and expense getting there. Most notably, the best diving location that I have ever been to. And, I should add I do believe that using a liveaboard was a great choice too. We covered a lot of ocean space with each dive site having unique beauty and life forms. (This is where the skilled dive masters played a major role.) The Raja Manta was my first boat, so I don't have any comparison to use as a reference. However, I have been diving for 20 years and I know a good dive master and guide when I see one. Ross happened to be mine. This man is a bloodhound when it comes to finding where the critters are. He ran all the dive briefings, and I must say covered the material exceptionally well even using props describing various formations of walls, alerting everyone about current conditions, angles of descent and assent, etc. Cris, operations manager, was the problem solver and chief social director. I really appreciated his help with a couple of my issues that came up while on board. I saw a staff that was well trained, courteous, anxious to help, and fun to be around. Next, the food. I have to tell you that overall, it had exceeded my expectations. Meal were always served up in a very appetizing fashion, hot. and always on time. Lastly, you got sensational and personal service when it came to all your equipment needs, and dive prep. And finally, considering the cost and services rendered, I found this boat to be a very comfortable, and an exceptionally good value. I wound not hesitate to recommend the Raja Manta to all my diving acquaintances.
