A traditional wooden phinisi built in south Sulawesi, the Queenesia liveaboard was custom-built for fantastic dive and adventure cruises in Komodo National Park. Catering to just 8 guests, the Queenesia creates a feeling of comfort in 3 well-equipped cabins. Each room has storage space, charging ports, individually controlled AC, and private en-suite bathrooms. Amazing way to discover Komodo!
It was just an overall amazing experience with a lot of exciting dives and amazing night dives. I normally don't like night dives that much but I did enjoy them very much on this trip. The crew was awesome and the food was great!

Trip of a lifetime
I was absolutely blown away by the beauty of Komodo area and also very impressed by how comfortable our shared room was. The food was plentiful and tasty, the diving incredible and we felt like family after only a few days, cant wait to do it again!

Epic Komodo national park diving
If you are looking for a no frills live aboard but with all of the important stuff like dive master , sites to dive and great and knowledgeable crew then this might be the boat for you. We were lucky and out of a possible 8 people , only two of us made the journey ..: and it was just perfect. The liveaboard continued with no changes, just a lot more flexibility and even more close attention to our needs (7 crew to 2 of us). We did everything we needed, we saw all of the animals that we came for (mantas,sharks,turtles, frog fish, nudibranches etc etc it was fab. Also food was better than expected with lots of local and fresh food.

Great encounters in Komodo and comfortable boat
The trip was great, we were very lucky to see mantas and sharks very close and for a long period of time. We did south Komodo because the north was closed due to the weather in December. Visibility was good. The crew and the other guests made me have an amazing time, we did karaoke at night, snorkel with sharks... The boat is quite big and clean. The rooms are very comfortable. Everything was well organized, also the trekkings.

We saw incredible things from the Flying Foxes fly over during sunset, sunrise at Padar Point, Manta Rays at Mawan, Komodo Dragons, Drift diving at Shotgun, beautiful coral, schools of fish in the thousands at Sebayur Kecil and Turtles everywhere.

Excellent!
We thoroughly enjoyed this liveboard. The friendly atmosphere and the crew made us feel special and very safe. The dive guide, Za, is excellent and very attentive, and so was the dive master, Bretske. Vivi overviewed the trip with great professionality and a great sense of humor. We all loved the food selection that Richard cooked for us. Komodo Islands are wonderful for diving, of course, but are also a special place to visit on land. Wonderful sunsets and an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

Great Diving Aboard a No-Frills Boat
My girlfriend and I had a great time on the Queenesia II for a six-day tour of Komodo. The crew was always positive, fun, and friendly, and they always accomodated us as best as they could. The itinerary covered everything you want out of Komodo, including land-based activities like komodo dragon hiking and pink-sand beach. The dive sites were lackluster at times but other times it was some of the best I've experienced. The boat is cozy and charming on deck, although the rooms were sparse at best. But considering how much we paid, overall it was a great value. Shout out to our Cruise Director Ricky, Divemaster Elon, and Gilbert for making it a memorable trip.

Incredible crew and service!
The crew was 10/10 all the time. Very good service for everything, great food, amazing energy of everyone! By just having everything ready for us all the time (including tea/hot chocolate) made everything much more frictionless and enjoyable.

I would love to come aboard again.
The facilities on the boat were simple, but they were more than sufficient for a trip focused on diving. Our guide was exceptionally skilled and helped us find many rare marine creatures. Safety was clearly a top priority, and I felt completely comfortable diving at every site. The meals were mainly Indonesian cuisine, but I personally found them delicious. The trip also included a stunning hike in Komodo and an opportunity to observe Komodo dragons, making the entire experience truly fulfilling.

Outstanding trip
This has probably been one of my best Liveaboards ever due to an incredible dive guide Ed, spotting almost any little critter one could think of, especially on those five stunning night dives during our trip. Though the boat comfort is basic (we were all aware ahead of booking) this trip has been very memorable due to a very friendly and attentive crew, the meals were great, so was the overall experience with perfect timing for all divesites and both land tours - we were the ONLY guests visiting Komodo Island with it's dragons, any other guests had already left the Island !

"Welcomeee baaack"
This boat is as no frill as it gets, it truly encapsulates the saying "eat sleep dive repeat". There is nothing fancy about this boat, but that in itself the the charm of Queenesia. This wooden boat gives vintage feels, the staff onboard were spectacular. From the food service to the dive gear assistance, to a simple cheer wishing us a great dive before every dive and a loud cheer after every dive saying "WELCOME BACK" The housekeeping staff Rayan went out of his way to make sure we were well fed or had a glass of water before our dive or a cup of hot milo/ginger tea after the dive. The dive guides were brilliant. They went out of their way to fulfill our requests to the best of their ability. Highly recommend this boat for anyone who wants to "dive" Komodo.

It was an enjoyable and safe dive for 6 days. The dive location was great and the dive guide was so friendly and safe to let us see a lot. The meals and snacks were delicious, and the crew were attentive and friendly. We rented diving equipment and used it, but all the equipment was in very good condition. I didn't expect much from the old vessel, but it wasn't too much of an inconvenience to stay in. Very good value for money.

Incredible diving, with amazing, competent local crew. Great value for money.
I had to leave a 5 star review for this trip because the overall experience was brilliant, and the price was so low I thought I may have been scammed. However, there are some negatives that are worth knowing before booking. We hired the whole boat for 8 of us. Good First All local crew and very competent. Diving is incredible. I was here 10 years ago and it is every bit as good as it was then. No signs of degradation like other coral reefs. Food was great, but mainly Indonesian style. Flexible with times of dives or meals if needed. Not so Good. Rooms are small and the aircons have to be turned off when the compressor is running, which is most of the day. Ensuite for the double and twin rooms don't have a sink. The compressor is loud and is running for a large part of the day to refill tanks after the dives. It is located at the back of the boat, but still loud at the front. If travelling down wind then we could smell the diesel fumes quite badly. The price for the National Park entry fees wasn't made clear. It is around $25 US per person per day. We were told this, but I naively thought that it only applied to the day that we went on the island and not for every day we were on the boat. I would suggest that future groups be told the total it will cost for their trip to remove this confusion.

A trip to remember..
This was one of the best weeks of diving my partner and I have ever had. We were welcomed onboard by the most amazing, friendly, happy boat crew. They were there whenever you needed anything, always happy to help with a smile - could not have wished for a better boat crew. My partner was a little ill for a day during the trip, but they had everything she needed onboard and were super attentive. The diving was nothing short of incredible. The dive masters, Edmond and Rickie, were fantastic. They did v good briefings, great in the water, took their time during the dive, felt very safe - zero complaints - they made the trip very memorable. Food was great with prepared snacks in between dives too, there was never a moment either of us were hungry! The treks to see Komodo dragons and sunrise were very nice too. 100% would recommend and we will definitely be going again! Thank you for the amazing trip

Excellent dives, simple but comfortable!
If you want to experience excellent diving in Komodo with small dive groups, great dive guides, amazing nature and friendly crew than this is the liveaboard for you! We did 17 amazing dives, one dive we were the only boat there and saw 15 manta rays all to ourselves! We came in late November and the weather had turned for the season so we were unable to dive the north west of the island however the crew changed plans and made sure to give us great dives! Ed is a passionate dive master and excellent finding all sorts of creatures! I am a marine biologist/ big fish nerd and he took time identifying species with me after each dive and working out what I wanted to find next! The boat is simple but has whatever you need, we only had 5 people on board which was stellar. I have food allergies and the cook made sure I always had things to eat. An extra bonus is the two treks you do, we always went at a great time when there were not many other people! If you want a luxurious boat and food this isn't the liveaboard for you, but if you want to live the 'eat, sleep, dive, repeat' moto and see incredible nature, be sure to book this trip!

The dive guide Ed was incredible, he obviously is super passionate about what he does. He spent time finding all the fish I was looking for and we talked about them before and after each dive!. Price is really great for the service and dives that you get. A mix of amazing dive sites with days that you dive 4 times and also a day with 2 dives and some trekking!.

great diving, great crew, no frills
this is not a 5 star hotel with 5 star dining. it is great diving with a great dive crew on a budget. accommodations are simple yet comfortable and the food is plentiful but basic. we were lucky to see several manta rays, a couple of dives with sharks and large schools of fish along with many of my favorite nudibranchs. the land excursion to see the Komodo Dragons was great as well.. i was happy to see so much at a cost that was one third the amount charged by some other boats!
