Barefoot luxury is the theme behind Mikumba Dua (of lost paradise charters) liveaboard Indonesia, having undergone an extensive renovation giving a contemporary twist to this traditional wooden boutique style phinisi. Mikumba Dua boasts the largest outdoor space found on any vessel in her class, spanning over 4 decks, allowing guests to indulge in alfresco dining under the stars while sipping away at their favorite drink or perhaps getting involved in some sunrise/sunset yoga or just lounging around on beanbags with a book. The main hub of the boat is the beautiful indoor salon, which also offers dining, a cinema room, a library, board games, or simply space for relaxation. There are 2 Master cabins on the upper deck, both en-suite and with their own private balcony, with a further 3 double/twin cabins on the lower deck sharing 2 bathrooms. All cabins are spacious and individually designed, embracing traditional local materials and fabrics.

Joy around the clock
One of the best liveaboards we've been on. Well organised and communicated. We felt very taken care of. The below deck rooms were a little cramped but we didn't spend much time in there anyways, mostly lounging above deck in the common areas which were well furnished with bean bags. The itinerary was perfect, allowed adequate rest between dives but also included many non-diving activities including 3 treks. The dive equipment were new and in great condition. People are super nice, specifically cruise director Saldy and our dive guide Faldy. We like that they emphasize that it's a nature reserve and strictly enforced divers behaviour underwater. Food was excellent and of good variety. Highly recommend.

An unforgettable Komodo liveaboard
Wonderful experience! From the boat facilities to the day to day organization, everything was exceptional. The crew was well prepared, friendly and always available. The diving activity was simply fantastic. I went with a friend and left with several, there was a great bond with the other guests too. 5 days to remember!

Best Trip Ever!
This was the best liveaboard experience I’ve ever had. It was also the first liveaboard trip for some of my companions, and they came away with wonderful memories from their very first experience.

Excellent Liveaboard Experience
Saldy’s leadership shined through from day 1! Even though the crew does this every week, their enthusiasm made it feel like we were special, bravo. From our boat driver Heru who always had a smile on his face and helped me in and out of the water to the chef and his crew serving the food with precision, timing and great flavors. Our master cabin was very comfortable and the overall experience top-notch. Would highly recommend Makumba Dua.

Amazing trip. Would do it again.
The diving in Komodo was excellent, lead by dive guides Faldy and Saldy. The entire crew was very professional and welcoming. The boat was very comfortable, the food was excellent, everything was great.

Amazing Live a Board Komodo islands on the Mikumba Dua
Our first time LiveAboard and it was amazing. From the moment we met the crew we had a great time. The boat was perfect. In perfect condition and the crew made sure it was like that during the entire trip. Everything was so well arranged. The crew did everything in such a way that it was professional and relaxed at the same time. We quickly made new friends and enjoyed the 5 days to the max. We went to amazing sites for diving. Guided by 2 skilled dive masters. The dingy-drivers did a great job. The cooks made us amazing meals 3 times a day. The captain made sure it was smooth sailing everytime. Compliments to all the crewmembers. We would recomend the Mikumba Dua to everybody who would want to do a Live a board. If this is your first time or if you have done this before this will be an amazing trip. We stayed in the mastercabin and that was like staying in a 5 star floating hotel room. We would really recommend that, but if it is just for sleeping and your suitcase the other rooms are also great. Hope to come again Maribel and Martijn from Belanda (The Netherlands)

Perfect diving, on-board and above-water experience
We have to start with the diving - Komodo has exceptional and varied sites. The dive guides- special mention to Saldy - were experienced, knowledgable and professional., making sure that every diver was well-prepared for the conditions at each site and had a great experience. Strong full moon currents made for exciting dives with loads of manta and shark action, but also the best coral and quantity of fish that we have seen for a long time, The balance with inland activities between dives was also great (dragons and a couple of lovely sunset treks). however, the main reason we are so pleased that we chose the Mikumba Dua was the perfect on-board experience. The master cabin was beautiful, light and far more roomy than expected, with its own balcony. On deck was chilled and the chef did a phenomenal job of feeding us with delicious, fresh food. The entire crew were so professional and friendly. Working as a great team to make sure everything was perfect with our trio. We loved the last night party on board - gate-crashed by some from surrounding boats - the music, singing and dancing was that good! Honestly, there’s nothing we can say could be improved - thank you to the whole crew🙏

The best liveaboard ever
Such an incredible week! We had the best time and everything was very well planned from start to finish. The meals were great, there was very enjoyable variety in the dives, and the land activities were a great way to keep each day new. We felt very safe the entire time in the currents because of how experienced and knowledgeable our dive masters were. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
