Barefoot luxury is the theme behind Mikumba 2 (of lost paradise charters) liveaboard Indonesia, having undergone an extensive renovation giving a contemporary twist to this traditional wooden boutique style phinisi. Mikumba 2 boasts the largest outdoor space found on any vessel in her class, spanning over 4 decks, allows guests to indulge in alfresco dining under the stars whilst sipping away at their favourite drink or perhaps getting involved in some sunrise/sunset yoga or just lounging around on beanbags with a book. The main hub of the boat is the beautiful indoor salon which also offers dining, a cinema room, a library, board games or simply space for relaxation. There are 2 Master cabins located on the upper deck, both en-suite and with their own private balcony with a further 3 double/twin cabins on the lower deck sharing 2 bathrooms. All cabins are spacious and individually designed, embracing traditional local materials and fabrics.
Dining generally takes place on the top deck, whilst taking in incredible vistas our legendary local chef will provide a selection of authentic dishes which are prepared daily using the freshest locally sourced ingredients and cooked with dedication and love. The Ethos onboard Mikumba 2 is to seek out adventure whilst getting you away from the crowds along with giving you World Class diving and snorkelling. Visit secret beaches and lagoons and encounter breathtaking views from jungle-covered hilltops, all of which make for a truly magical experience, “the stuff of dreams.”
The enchanting and magnificent Raja Ampat, one of the last frontiers on Earth, is the ultimate tropical paradise. Commonly regarded as the most biodiverse marine ecosystem on our planet and ultimately some of the greatest diving and snorkelling in the world, as beautiful above the surface as below, ”truly Heaven on Earth.”
The ambiance aboard Mikumba 2 reflects the feeling that guests are extended family and combines perfectly the balance of adventure and feeling of home. Mikumba 2 is also available for private hire, date of charter, length of trip, locations, and activities can all be specifically tailored to your needs.

Best value for the pennies you’ve saved
We had a great week with amazing diving, some beach trips, paddleboarding and unforgettable sunset cruises! Food was the best I’ve eaten in Indonesia so far. Boat crew is friendly and making their best to make you feel like home. Hugo and Damian were also doing everything they could (and a bit more) to make you enjoy your stay. Boat itself is in top shape and you can find all the facilities you need. This trip was really worth every penny and even more, I’m definitely gonna return :)

Fantastic Crew! They're the Champs
Firstly, the awesome crews from helpers, guide, best cook, captain to big boss: Damian. Secondly, the booze sunset cruise directed by Damian and lastly all the dives. I'd like to highlight how amazingly organized the trips are (from pick up till drop off). Kudos to the team!

Just awesome journey on the Mikumba 2
The cruise on the Mikumba 2 was just awesome. Beside the world class dives spots we would like to broach the great hospitality on the boat and the super nice and Professional Crew. Especially a big compliment to the kitchen crew as the food was really extraordinary and authentic Indonesien. The cruise director and owner of the boat should be as well mentioned as he is a warm and friendly guy which was doing his most possible to realize the one or other special request. Overall we would definitely recommend the Mikumba for an unforgettable liveaboard experience. Daniela & Dominik

Couldn't have imagined a better experience
What an exceptional week - Highly recommend it! Welcoming, warmly and friendly crew that became an extended family for all the guests. The dives and itinerary were well-planned and communicated and the operators open for our inputs and to adapt it according to our wishes. The boat and cabins were charming, clean and with loads of place to hang out (in the sun or shade). Even though we were on full capacity, we had plenty of space to have some privacy and recover from the beautiful dives. The food was delicious and very diversified!

Excellent
Excellent cruise much more beyond diving expectations. Fun, friendly staff, adventures, snorkeling, islands exploration, fireplace on the beach are just a few things to mention which are part of what a customer receives in this cruise. Good the cabin with balcony, superb tailor made services, nice cuisine. A special thanks to Damien, Geremy and their fantastic crew. When things are done with passion the outcome is always great! We loved to stay on board, we enjoyed everything and we are sure we will come back again! Walter and Cristina

Absolute one of the best trips in my life
If you're reading this review then you're probably already aware that Raja Ampat is one of best dive sites in the world. And it's true - so much beautiful coral, reef sharks, turtles, mantas, dolphins and so many fish you didn't even knew they existed. Absolutely stunning. But the thing that makes a trip so special is not only the dive sites - it's the boat and the atmosphere on the boat. And I can tell you - with the owners of the boat (Damien & Jeremy) and their crew you will have a 100% guarantee of a good time. Not only will they make your trip very personalised to your own needs - you'll also have a great time hanging out with these guys! And I only realised how important that is once you're actually on a boat on the sea for 7 days... Secondly - the boat is really good value for money. The rooms are very nice and neat, there is a lot of space on the boat to relax and hang out (with people or just on your own) it looks all very new and modern and all water sports are available (diving, snorkling, paddle boarding). Then last but not least - the food. Amazing. I've had experiences in the past where you would have the same dish every day, even the same dish for lunch and dinner. But not on this boat - the chef cooks every day a new dish, there is a lot of fresh fruit available, and they also cater excellent for vegetarians. You will not get hungry on this boat! So for divers but also for non-divers, I would 100% recommend Raja Ampat but if you do it - definitely do it with the Mikumba 2. Thanks again guys for the most amazing week.

Fabulous diving and more on Lost Paradise Charters Mikumba 2
We just completed a 6 night liveaboard dive trip in the Rajah Ampat region with Lost Paradise Charters on Mikumba 2. Damien and Jeremy, two 40++++ (just kidding) Englishmen, with social media wizz Hugo, and all their lovely Indonesian staff, provide a very personal small boat diving+ experience. Damien is the snorkeler and social activities co-coordinator, and offers beach visits, paddleboarding, and kayaking, as well as capturing spectacular sunsets in a little slice of paradise. If you enjoy winding down after a mind blowing day of diving, by watching the setting sun on a secluded beach with white sand, beer, and vodka, then this is the dive boat for you! Sounds tempting, doesn't it? The diving will draw you to the area, but if you want a little more than just a diving experience, on a very comfortable, small dive boat (10 pax), where rooms have AC, and where you'll experience excellent freshly prepared meals, cooked with love, by the hard working chef in very hot conditions, then Mikumba 2 will provide that and more. Truly spectacular diving and wonderful memories ... JUST DO IT!

A true lost paridise charter.
A lostparadisecharter it truly is. Guides are exceptionally observant and notice creatures even before those know they will show up in that place (once again, cheers to you Fadly). Underwater life- unimaginable, not a great number of one variety, but a tremendous variety of species of almost every single type of marine creature. Crew – all great people, friendly, professional, fun. Food – abundant, all very tasty, some of the dishes best I have ever had. Cabins and boat itself – all lovely, tek wood finishings, careful attention to every detail, a pleasure to live there. And the attractions - adventures and stuff- fun, seem to be impossible at first but then turn out to be just as promised and even better! The captains both wounderful, professionals in their own right; Jem very concerned and attentive instructor, lovely person, Damian – true entertainer that unites the guests and keeps them in awe of the magic of the nature around, all with a touch of humour. Having said all that, this cruise is for those who are in Raja the first time and have not seen anything yet – the itinerary described on LiveAboard.com is not strictly followed and if you plan what exactly you want to see based on the description, this might be a disappointment - so best contact lostparadisecharters directly to check out what route to expect.
