The dive briefings were very thorough, and each dive was a different exploratory treat. I would especially like to thank Montse, the director, and Nico, our dive master. There are others that deserve praise as well, but I mention these two because of the most direct contact. We put this trip at the the top of our bucket list., it exceeded our expectations. The Best!
The crew on this trip is over the top! They pay attention to your every need. We were so spoiled. They set up our tanks, assisted in getting us in and out of gear and took our wet suits from us as soon as they were off to get them rinsed and hanging before the next dive. Best yet they did it all with huge smiles. It truly seems like the crew is having a great time while they work.
I brought my regulator mask and fins but rented a BC and wet suit both of which were in great condition!
I also took the Nitrox certification class while on board which was easy to do around the diving and I’m so happy I did!
Komodo can be known for its crazy currents and I was a little apprehensive not having the experience with hooking in before. I felt so safe on board this boat. My dive master Allo, made me feel so secure and found us so many creatures I never would have seen with out him. Dive briefings were thorough and the crew made everything so efficient. They dive with 4 people per DM so you don’t feel crowded but you feel looked after.
The cruise director Sara did an excellent job of relaying all information, being an extra Instructor the water on big current dives and making everyone feel at home.
The food was great and we never felt hungry!
This was an excellent trip! This was my first live aboard but listening to the others who had been on many, this crew and food were the best. I will be back and will follow Mermaid II to each of their destinations!! Thank you!!

There were 17 divers on this trip and everyone got along so well!! The whole vibe of the crew and passengers was very relaxed and made for a very enjoyable trip. The food was outstanding and the dives were everything I thought they would be. Being able to swim with whale sharks was definitely a top highlight.

Happy to see healthy vibrant reefs, saw everything from large pelagics like manta rays to tiny little creatures during muck dives; we lucked out with the weather and saw beautiful sunsets and starry nights; the crew was so friendly and helpful, they definitely added a lot to the overall experience; also lucked out and made some new diving buddies aboard! Had such a great time on this liveaboard. The entire crew provided amazing service, always going above and beyond to be helpful and courteous. On dives, the guides were reliable and fast in spotting tinny critters doing interesting things. The food was good with plenty of variety. First and formost, the diving was simply exceptional throughout the trip.
The corals in Raja Ampat are pristine and varied and the colours amazing. The fish life was superb with great variety and plentiful schools ... some great manta dives also!
Dive staff were very friendly and professional, and added to the whole experience.
Boat crew were fantastic also and overall was an exceptional liveaboard.

A stunning introduction to Liveaboards and the Coral Triangle
Almost too many to mention , so many firsts!! Dropping into shotgun and the cauldron as a hegative entry yhen flying through and hanging on to watch a Manta show you how to deal with current! Dropping into turtle city at dusk to find too msny turtles to count, just chilling on the bottom then night dives with octopi , pegasus fish, frogfish and soooo many more. Finally the escort of dolphins as we headed back to Bali. Even the seasoned liveaboarders were impressed! Thankyou Ulrich and the crew for a fantastic time.
