Would highly recommend.
We loved everything about this trip. The beautiful colours of the Yellow Wall and many other memorable dives with turtles, sharks and so many fish. Joss was a fabulous cruise director, Desi was a delight and Elham worked tirelessly.

Whale sharks, manta rays, and Komodo dragons and a great crew
We had an amazing time on the Mermaid II. The crew were friendly and helpful, the dive guides were fantastic, and we had some dives that will be lifetime memories. We had 4 whale sharks that circled us for an hour at Saleh Bay, another hour with manta rays at Manta Alley, and saw 9 Komodo dragons on our walk in the park. The rooms and food were modest, but appropriate for the price.

Best Liveaboard Crew
We truly enjoyed our liveaboard experience with Mermaid 2. The whole crew from dive guides to cook were very friendly and helped us to enjoy every moment of it. Diving sites were great and the guides were familiar with the sites which helped us to what to expect in each site. Food was delicious with a good variety of cuisines and it was inclusive of everyone who follow certain diets.

I had such an amazing time and would definitely book with Mermaid II again.
There were 17 divers on this trip and everyone got along so well!! The whole vibe of the crew and passengers was very relaxed and made for a very enjoyable trip. The food was outstanding and the dives were everything I thought they would be. Being able to swim with whale sharks was definitely a top highlight.

Wonderful diving trip with an experienced dive team and super hospitable crew!
I picked this itinerary as it set off and returned to Bali, which made it super easy for me to catch a direct international flight back home - from the airport it was only a 20-30 min car ride to the port where the ship was. This was a huge draw for me as the alternative would have been to do multiple flights/ transfers to fly into Labuan Bojo, which was the main airport for the Komodo Islands. The diving experience on the entire trip was superb, as to be expected for the region. The dive crew and operations on the Mermaid II were top notch - professional, experienced, safe, helpful and super friendly. I especially appreciated the super detailed and educational briefings, which not only introduced me to the geological topography areas, but also the unique marine species in the area. This is a dive-oriented liveaboard/ itinerary - with 4 dives planned each day. There was a selection of easier sites with calmer waters, but more confident/ experienced divers can better enjoy some of the best sites on the trip, which tend to have stronger currents/ drifts. There was a land excursion to see the Komodo Dragons in their natural habitat, which was quite special. I really enjoyed spending time with other fellow divers and marine life enthusiasts on the trip. We had quite a global mix of nationalities among the passengers, a good mix of younger and older adults, couples and parent-child pairings, and a few solo travellers. Cabin and common areas were clean, comfortable and well-maintained. Food menu was well curated with something for everyone, and tasty/ fresh.

Top notch dive team and setup (eg. safety, professionalism, familiarity with the dive sites). Beautiful dive sites and marine life sightings (eg. so many whale sharks and manta rays!). Super friendly and hospitable crew.

Amazing Trip
There was just so much to see on this trip! Diving had a great mix of small to large things to see, beautiful coral, nudis, fish, and mantas. The staff was phenomenal, so friendly and helpful. The food was great. The dive masters were awesome. And of course Komodo dragons and all the beautiful views of Komodo!

Iconic Manta Alley and Whale sharks await you.
Loved the trip, but I had difficulty on the tougher current dives, mainly due my age to push through the currents to hook on points. The natural beauty of the areas we travelled through were a real highlight together with the gorgeous sunsets.

Epic trip ! United failed to get my checked dive bag to my destination but Mermaid 🧜🏼‍♀️ made it all OK. Communication was encouraging and helpful from the GM Kay and they helped with getting me some replacement gear like booties, head hoody and fins that fit me well, before embarkation for the trip dfrom Bali at their dive shop All4Diving. They take care of their guests like family from pick up at the airport or hotels to the dive vessel and then on board its all seamlessly organized. On the Mermaid the dive deck offers concierge diving at the Stearn of the vessel. Rinse tanks for dive gear had disinfectants and camera gear rinse tanks, mask and dive computers all in their own tanks. They even have warm water showers on return from the dives this was really so nice ! Our DM Bob has been with this organization for 10 years. He was so knowledgeable, professional, warm and fun with amazing eyesight to spot all the cute critters and took such good care of our group of 4 divers. Our dinghy drivers Aan & Erwis were super efficient. The whole crew was so cool 😎 Luca our cruise director was super suave and worked tirelessly with focus and detailed attention for everybody to make our trip outstanding. Mermaid even offered us Starlink Internet connection during the sailing. We had a marvellous videographer Christopher Pen onboard with us and he made a lovely film capturing the highlights of our superlative dive week. Komodo was truly the highlight of our trip. The water was so clear, cool & so blue with Manta Magic. We were very lucky and got to dive Manta Alley without any other dive boats ! What a treat. The food was yummy and more than sufficient and I loved the coffee machine. Hats off to the Chef Bruno and sou chef Wikan. I also want to acknowledge Desy & Ilham our stewards who worked tirelessly to make our surroundings clean and presentable always providing the best presentation for the food, making the beds, cleaning our cabins etc. our captain was also very good and he runs a tight ship. Loved the whole experience would do another trip back in a heartbeat 💓

We felt very comfortable and welcome during the week on the Mermaid II. The crew was super nice and helpful, we could learn a lot from our guide underwater (especially when it comes to macro finding and photography) and the atmosphere on the ship was very good (the live music in the afternoon from the crew was great :)). Great nice people, funny conversations and delicious food, what more could you want. The ship was kept very clean, the equipment was perfectly prepared and always looked after. All in all, a successful trip. Thank you for that!

Best week ever
This trip over-delivered and was quite wonderful. Such beautiful places, with three or four dives most days, all fascinating in their way, and brilliantly led by the dive masters. The cruise director was brilliant, looking after the less experienced divers, and kept the atmosphere fun and light while imparting a lot of information. Food was good, lots of variety and catered to all tastes, with an amazing four meals a day. As a snorkeller I was really well looked after, as was all our kit. The trip delivered on three big bucket list items in a spectacular way.

A dream experience
The highlights were of course the spots with the big things like manta rays and whale sharks, but the complete underwater world and coral diversity is a highlight, the reefs are healthy and very well maintained and the dive boats do everything they can to keep it that way

Manta, Wobbegong Shark, walking shark, pygmy seahorses, many types of Nudi. Ble water mangroves and archer fish. Visibility is variable due to weather. Service and food is excellent. Dive masters are great. Clear and consistent communication. Range of nationalities as guests. Safety conscious. If you are a less experienced diver like me, ensure you leave room in your budget for hiring a dive computer and Nitrox and or Nitrox course. Hire equipment is excellent but not cheap. Definitely bring your own if you can. Also a dive torch. They will definitely look after you.
