I had such an amazing time and would definitely book with Mermaid II again.
There were 17 divers on this trip and everyone got along so well!! The whole vibe of the crew and passengers was very relaxed and made for a very enjoyable trip. The food was outstanding and the dives were everything I thought they would be. Being able to swim with whale sharks was definitely a top highlight.

A dream experience
The highlights were of course the spots with the big things like manta rays and whale sharks, but the complete underwater world and coral diversity is a highlight, the reefs are healthy and very well maintained and the dive boats do everything they can to keep it that way

- The boat was very nicely maintained for its age and ultimately well organized. The number of dive guides, so that there was optimal support in small groups. The organization of the dive sites and the coordination of the groups.

Best way to visit komodo national park
Beside the beauty of the location, I particularly appreciated Montse, the boat leader, for having everything smoothly organized and Alex , photographer and video master, for the wonderful pics and videos (good to share memories once back home)

Superb Dream Dive Sojourn in Raja Ampat
Second Superb dream dive sojourn in Raja Ampat on Mermaid 2 🧜🏼♀️Absolutely INCREDIBLE DMs & ship crew. Very delicious food, great Itinerary & rental gear. Raja Ampat is a dream dive destination full of natural beauty. Needs our protection & preservation as a Unesco World Heritage Site. Extremely grateful & thankful for all the work that goes on behind the scenes to make it possible to dive into this extraordinary region of intense biodiversity. Highlights of trip were the gorgeous Pinnacle Dives, Marine Critters & sightings of Omura Whales :)

Beautiful Raja Amput
Manta, Wobbegong Shark, walking shark, pygmy seahorses, many types of Nudi. Ble water mangroves and archer fish. Visibility is variable due to weather. Service and food is excellent. Dive masters are great. Clear and consistent communication. Range of nationalities as guests. Safety conscious. If you are a less experienced diver like me, ensure you leave room in your budget for hiring a dive computer and Nitrox and or Nitrox course. Hire equipment is excellent but not cheap. Definitely bring your own if you can. Also a dive torch. They will definitely look after you.

A delightful trip of a life time.
The Mermaid 2 and her crew were an absolute delight. From delicious and plentiful food to comfortable cabins to an amazing massage, I felt well taken care of and pampered the whole time. The dive sites were great - from giant whale sharks and dancing mantas to adorable cuddle fish, bobtail squid, and baby octopus, we were treated to some seriously epic diving. The staff was warm and funny and made the trip very enjoyable. Our guide Bram was amazing, finding and pointing out a ton of cool tiny things. Luca kept us laughing (and guessing, his joking sarcasm rivals my own) and well informed. Desi may be the star though; incredibly sweet, attentive, warm, and she gives really amazing massages. No trip is perfect and there were a few hiccups, mostly of my own making (I leaned an important lesson about slowing down and double checking gear after flooding my camera), but this trip was pretty close. Not only that but all the other passengers were delightful! Swiss, German, English, American, Canadian, Belgian...a nice international mix of really great humans. Be careful playing Monopoly with Bob though, he looks innocent but he's really a shark!

- The big stuff - whale sharks, mantas, and komodo dragons!. The small stuff - tiny octopus, bobtail squid, and nudis. The staff - friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and highly amusing.
