“Drift diving in strong current around Komodo Island ”
Catering to just 10 guests, the Lalunia liveaboard is a traditional wooden sailing Phinisi offering fantastic diving in Komodo National Park. Itineraries are generally 7 days long, and visit world class dives sites of Castle and Crystal Rock and Cauldron, as well as many others around Komodo & Rinca. There is also trekking to see Komodo Dragons at Savannah. The dive deck is located at the bow of Lalunia, and there is a dive tender for easy entry and pick-up.
Topside the Lalunia offers an intimate Indonesian dive trip, with only 10 guests on board. There are 4 double cabins and 2 singles, all with air-conditioning and shared bathrooms. Social areas include a large living and dining area and partially-shaded sun deck, perfect for relaxing in between dives and soaking up the sun or star-gazing in the evening. Meals are freshly prepared on-board and a mix of local Indonesian and western dishes.

Excellent liveaboard experience
The diving in Komodo National Park was excellent with lots of variety. Our guide, Sahil, was excellent and we were lucky to have a small group - only 3 of us plus our guide. The best dives we did were Castle Rock, Batu Balong and Manta Point. We saw plenty of sharks and mantas as well as smaller stuff (nudibranchs etc). All the dives were well briefed and our guide was very good at spotting critters for us! Lalunia is a really comfortable boat and all the staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was excellent - a good selection of Indonesian dishes. We had fresh fish every day as well as chicken and beef dishes. Between dives we also had snacks and fresh juices. There was plenty of time to relax between dives on the sundeck. As well as 3 dives a day (including a couple of night dives) we also visited Rinca Island to see the Komodo dragons. This was a definite highlight to the trip.
