The Komodo Sea Dragon is a 38mtr/125ft long liveaboard in Indonesia. It is accompanied by a smaller, 18mtr/59ft long boat designed to keep all the dive gear and the compressor, as well as take the divers directly to the best sites. Aboard the main vessel, guest cabins are located on the upper and main decks, with plenty of natural light and breathtaking ocean views. There are 8 sun loungers on the upper deck, as well as a relaxation area that can be converted into an outdoor dining area. The bar, library and audio/video entertainment are in the air-conditioned lounge, by the outdoor bar, all located on the main deck.

The Komodo Sea Dragon’s 7 days/6 nights itinerary takes guests to some of the best spots in Indonesia, where guests have the chance to see amazing marine life and the legendary Komodo dragon. The adventure starts on Padar Island, for diving and snorkeling around the beautiful reefs. From there, the boat will move on to South Komodo, where guests will explore more of the amazing underwater world. The last stop on the itinerary is Komodo Island, home to the famous Komodo dragons. Cozy Marine Adventure!
It was my first liveaboard and I don't regret choosing Komdo Sea Dragon at all. Every crews and dive masters were super kind and every meals were well prepared. I could recover on the cozy sun-deck after diving and take a rest at the tidy room. We had 21 dives and I met awesome marine animals such as Manta Ray, Eagle Ray, Marbled Ray, Shark and Turtles. Fortunately, every guest was on time and very nice. If you are looking for a cozy marine adventure, I highly recommend this liveaboard.

Awesome for snorkelers and divers both
The entire trip was absolutely superb. My wife loved the diving and i loved the snorkeling. We both saw some amazing sights, 4 baby sharks resting/hiding in a small cave soon to grow up and take their place as apex reef predators, turtles which lingered and were not afraid of snorkelers, and the highlight for both of us being the manta rays. Seeing a huge adult manta ray glide past on my right not 10 metres away at snorkeling height was a Moment of Awe. The crew on the boat were all superb, addressing queries quickly as well as anticipating our needs. And safety always first.

Perfect Liveaboard
Best Liveaboard, period. The food was incredible with many options for fish, meats, vegetarian options, deserts, always delicious and available multiple times per day. The boat itself was great and the rooms are very spacious and cleaned daily. The DM's were great. Ray, Fandi and Jello always made sure we had detailed briefings before each dive and stayed close during changing and challenging currents. They were great at spotting very small, hard to find things (Pygmy Seahorse, Cuddlefish, Rhinopia, Nudibranch's, etc). With a 4 to 1 diver to DM ratio, the diving was very personalized. The diving was unbelievable and the sites were choosen perfectly based on time of day, tides, currents, etc. The donni boat (Putra) was great because we had plenty of space to gear up, unlike a small cramped dingi, and a full size sturdy ladder for easy exits. I'm telling you, the entire trip was flawless, great food, great staff (extremely attentive), great diving, great DM's, great rooms, cant imagine anything negative to say. Even the Nitrox tanks were perfect on every single dive with zero deviation on mixtures. If you're considering a Komodo Liveaboard, I would strongly encourage you to book with Komodo Sea Dragon. You will LOVE the entire experience, from beginning to end, perfect execution.

The trip didn’t have any downsides for me
Komodo Sea Dragon is a fantastic liveaboard. First of all with the amazing guides you will visit the best of the best dive sites in Komodo national park. And also enjoy hiking on the best islands/mountains the national park has to offer. Everyday you will also eat delicious meals and deserts. They even have a coffee machine on board. I stayed in the cheapest cabin yet the experience was amazing, it honestly looks better than the photos. Modern bathroom. The friendly crew will also make sure that you fully enjoy the trip.

Perfect combination of diving, land excursions and heartwarming hospitality
Did the 7N/8D around Komodo, and had the best time ever. Good communication and helpful tips before, the most heartwarming welcome on the boat, spacious rooms with comfortable beds, and a crew that never stopped helping any way they could. The food was amazing, and there was lots of it. The days were spent diving in underwater paradise, encountering mantas, sharks, turtles, fish in every colour, and even a dugong. The detailed briefings before every dive always made me feel safe and well prepared. The rented equipment was excellent, and made diving hassle-free. I also appreciated the land excursions to see the dragons, Pink Beach and some sunset hikes. My divemaster Ray was excellent at spotting everything from mantas to tiny shrimps - he was clear on instructions and made sure we all had safe and fun dives! And then the cruise director - Jello. The trip definitely would not have been the same without him! Again, safety always being the main focus - but also the one singing us songs, making us laugh, telling stories, and just being the heart and soul of Komodo Sea Dragon. Loved every minute of this trip!

The best liveaboard I have ever been on!
The diving is was beautiful, the food was absolutely amazing. The crew were just the best. Real luxury! Always offered tea or coffee, even between dives. Someone always opening doors and helping you with whatever you needed. I will definitely book this boat again next time I come to Komodo. If you want a real luxury dive experience, look no where else. If Jello and his team are on board, you are going to have the best diving you can get in Indonesia.

Comfortable way to explore Komodo National Park
The Komodo Sea Dragon provided a super comfortable experience and great platform for exploring the Komodo National park . The cabin was cleaned few times a day . The beds were large and comfortable . The food was truly excellent , catering also for veggies . Not all dive sites delivered against expectations ( only 1 manta spotted ), but that’s nature - not boat’s issue . It was ok to bring own beverages / cold drinks on board . The main boat was for living / eating and it also had a side boat which had all the diving equipment and travelled to the sites . Both boats are in safe condition . Overall a great experience.

Phenomenal liveaboard experience
Incredible all around experience. The setup is a luxurious, recently renovated traditional vessel with a separate dive boat plus a dingy. This was very nice when preparing for and returning from dives, and snorkelers could take the dingy to good spots without compromising dive site selection; the con was that currents in the south prevented us from going to pink beach and southern dive sites because the separate dive boat couldn’t handle it. The crew service was incredible and the food was very good. We were all too tired to drink much but the wine on the final night was pretty good. Dive experience was great, including site selection, rentals and briefings; however, I am pretty risk averse but I felt our dive guide was excessively conservative, as my team ended most dives with 70+ bar each and we never hit 1 hour, and it was difficult due to language barrier to understand why we were cutting dives short. There were a few other communication issues as well that were each too minor to elaborate here. Overall would definitely recommend. For context if you are debating price vs value and comfort vs diving tradeoffs, this is AOW only and we all felt appropriately challenged and all the passengers were working professionals in their 30s and up.

10/10 experience on the Sea Dragon. The crew took care of us as we "eat, dive, sleep, repeat!". Everything was handles for us from start to finish. Komodo national park is a treasurer of Indonesia I hope more people choose to experience. Turtles, mantas, sharks, coral garden, crabs, lobsters, you will see it all here! My first liveaboard. I came with 20 logged dives which was the bare minimum to join the trip. So I was concerned that I may cause inconvenience to any other guests on the boat. Jello, the dive master who was leading the group that I am, did a wonderful job making sure that I am safe and enjoying the life under water on every single dive. (Thank you so much, Jello) Besides the dives, the whole crew were more than what I could hope for - Caring, kind, lively. Always welcoming you when you return from divings. My room was always kept clean, the food was really nice ( I have dietary restrictions and I still felt really accommodated.) Each moment on Komodo Sea Dragon was beautiful and unforgettable.

From start to finish, everything was all taken care of!
From landing at the airport, to being dropped off at our hotel after the trip - everything was sorted. We just needed to show up. The staff were all very friendly and extremely on top of taking care of things. The entire boat was extraordinarily clean and accommodating to use. The diving, as expected, was spectacular. Definitely the most stress-free live-aboard I've been on.

Great Diving in Komodo
Very professional operator, guests will be taken care for from the moment they will be picked up at the airport (or hotel) until they leave. Knowledgeable guides will show you all the best dive sites Komodo National Park has to offer. Lots of Manta Rays, but also Eagle Rays and Reef Sharks and a lot of critters, too. Food was good and cabins spacious and spotless clean. The balcony is a big bonus. We did not use the sun-deck because the synthetic-leather covered deck-chairs were either all wet (due to the rain) or burning hot (due to the sun). All 12 crew members were professional and helpful at all times. Trip is highly recommended.

Fabulous experience - Highlight of our trip
The discover dive that my daughters were able to do was a huge highlight. First time underwater and in a place with so much colourful coral and variety of fish and sea life. Seeing the Komodo dragons was incredible and swimming with manta rays is something I’ll never forget. The staff on the boat is amazing and I will forever be grateful for their kindness - they made this an experience of a lifetime. My girls can’t wait to get their dive tickets after this trip.
