Another great sailing on the Kira Kira
It was our second time on the Kira Kira, we previously dove Komodo, much of the crew remained the same. The crew is the standout of this boat. They are absolutely amazing!!! The diving in Raja is unmatched I think and we saw some of the best of it with the trip to Misool. The food was very good and there was always plenty for everyone. It is a budget boat so the accommodations and the showers reflect that. I love the small group and just as on our first trip we left with new friends. If you don’t mind roughing it a bit and you are ok with no A/C you will be happy in your choice.

Awesome cruise!
Superb cruise to Rajah Ampat aboard the Kira Kira. Everything was perfect, the proposed itinerary allowed us to discover the best spots in the center and the south (Misool). The extra activities were also very good. Between 2 and 3 dives per day, not too much, not too little. Special mention to the barbecue on the beach to end the stay in style. We appreciated being only 8 divers on the boat, it allowed us to create bonds and the atmosphere on the boat was great. The food was excellent and varied throughout the stay. The cabins and sleeping accommodations are rustic but this did not impact our overall experience. This cruise will remain the best moment of our 2 month trip to India.

Epic Adventure in Komodo
Kira Kira just was dry docked renovated in May of 2025. Amazing 20 dives in Komodo mix with a few off shore excursions. The food was amazing. Amazing guest and crew, the budget friendly self-selects great people. But be ready for room- temperature showers and no-ac rooms. They do have small fans installed in the rooms. I had issues with mine. I highly recommend if youre seeking adventure without hotel comfort, and want some really good hearty food.

Incredible trip- Banda to Raja Ampat
Fabulous trip and truly amazing diving. Highly recommend Kira Kira and the liquid adventures team. Diving was incredible, equipment was in good condition and the dive guides were very experienced and safe- one per 4 guests. The liveaboard is run by it’s british owner and dive guide with an Indonesian boat crew. As others have mentioned, the boat only accommodates 8 guests so it’s an intimate group which is great. They cater to mixed diver levels and myself as a less experienced diver never felt out of place. The boat is comfortable although if you are seeking luxury like air con and hot showers this is not a boat for you. It’s practical and has a few spaces to get out of the sun- including the bean bag deck. Fresh water showers and 24hr electricity. Crew are great and food excellent- lots of variety, you definitely won’t go hungry. Beers available on board. Definitely recommend- am planning my next trip already!

An amazing experience for a really good price
This was my first liveaboard trip and one of the best trips I've ever done in my life. The guides and the crew really made it special for me. The atmosphere on the boat is so friendly and welcoming, everyone is really nice and you just feel like you're apart of the family for a week. And of course, the diving in Komodo is absolutely amazing.

Magnificent liveaboard experience with amazing diving - what a wonderful trip
(July 2024) We had a blast, the boat is so pretty because of its traditional phinisi style and we felt very comfortable, also in the cabins (even though there is no air conditioner, the wind at night was cool enough). The sundeck was a good place to chill out. The food was absolutely delicious with a great variety (also vegetarian), it was mostly local dishes. The boat was very clean. There are only two bathrooms with a toilet, sink and shower on the boat and they are shared, but that didn't pose a problem. Admittedly, they didn't smell that nice sometimes (from the plumbing of the shower), but they were cleaned very often. We enjoyed the diving enormously, we saw so many different species (octopus, manta rays, so many nudibranchs and flatworms, cuttlefish, sharks, mantis shrimps, crabs, huge fish swarms, etc...), the reefs were in good condition and teeming with life, and some of the dive sites were spectacular because of the adrenaline factor (strong currents). We felt that the crew was very welcoming and working hard at all times to ensure we had a great time. The dive guides (Savri and Faldy) always knew the sites and conditions very well, it was obvious that they had a lot of experience and were very focused on safety.

Great Trip!
We had a great time on the kira. Kira! This was my husband's first live aboard, we were a little concerned that there would be two shared bathrooms and no AC for him. But it actually was not a problem at all. There is a great bean bag area up top with good shade and in the cabin the two little fans and the open hatch overhead really work well at night. I was amazed at all the really good food The cook was able to turn out of that little kitchen, even fresh baked bread. The crew took care of everything with our gear after every dive. Our dive guides Yetno and Akri were fantastic and so knowledgeable. They found the tiniest little things to show us. The boat is so beautiful and well taken care of. It has a very casual feel and more intimate with only eight guests. The dive sites were amazing!

Great briefing on dive sites and guided dives, felt safe and well looked after
We loved that this was a small group which meant it had some room for flexibility. We all got along well so that made for a fun trip. Alex our dive guide was so amazing with dive briefings and diving. He was also very patient when we all wanted to have a go at the wakeboarding which meant having to drive the boat in the hot sun for 4 hours one afternoon. The boat was basic, but had the necessary things for comfort. The bean bags on the deck was fantastic place to chill out between dives and enjoying sunrise and sunset. Double cabin is lovely on the deck, you get a beautiful breeze, and you can enjoy the view but have to admit a bit annoying with the low ceiling after knocking your head a few times getting in and out. It is not private in that the whole cabin faces the deck where people hang out and also occasionally crew sleeping. They have curtains so its manageable.
