Highlights
The Ikan Biru can house up to 8 guests. The boat has two guest bathrooms with hot freshwater showers below deck. The onboard chef serves freshly baked bread every morning, which he makes in the fully stocked kitchen. Upon request, the Ikan Biru can cater to specific dietary requests. The spacious upper deck is the perfect place to relax between dives in the daytime. In the evening, it is set up as a comfortable dining area. At night, the comfortable mattresses and bedding make it the perfect spot for guests to keep cool while sleeping under the stars, dreaming of all the incredible wildlife they’ve seen.
Thanks to its one-of-a-kind “hop-on, hop-off” concept, you can board the Ikan Biru for 3-12 nights, allowing you to explore the region as you see fit. Two dayboats are ready to take you to land when you wish to disembark. The Ikan Biru only accepts Advanced Open Water divers, or you can get your AOW certification and other diving courses on board. While aboard the Ikan Biru, you can dive three times a day, sometimes more. This lets you visit the best sites, such as Manta Point and The Cauldron.

The best thing I've ever done, don't waste money on a boat twice as expensive
The crew are amazing, so helpful, brilliant cook and good coffee. Our guides were so knowledgeable and able to cater to everyone's ability and deliver the best diving I've ever experienced. If your apprehensive about the sleeping on deck don't be it's such a good vibe, (it rained and was fine) we had people from 20-60+ all enjoyed every moment. Wake up and watch dolphins passing by with your coffee dive one of the best sites in your life before breakfast. Eat amazing food and dive some more .Then swim under the milky way with bioluminescence all around you. What more do you want?

Experience Incroyable
The organization (of the equipment in Labuan Bajo on our return) is well established. We found the crew very professional and very smiling. We are delighted with the services offered on the boat. The food is excellent, varied. The dive instructors (Sigfrid and Joe) are very professional and the sites chosen are exceptional. Overall, we are very happy with our stay on Ikan Biru.

Great trip
Amazing trip. My guide was kind and informative, helpful, answered any questions you had happily. Food was amazing, boat was perfectly big enough. 12 dives and 4 days on the boat was perfect amount for me. There are some really expensive liveaboards, this one was a lot cheaper and still 5 star experience. I would recommend this to anyone who loves diving and wants to check out Komodo. Thank you to my guide Harold and the kind boat staff. Max 🇬🇧: )

Go, if you have the chance! Great experiance!
I had a great time in Ikan Biru! The food is really good. The staff is also very caring. After every dive they serve tea or coffee and either a meal or a fresh baked snack (brownies etc.)! The dive guides are very kind and they do a very good dive briefing before every dive. Sleeping on the deck is very comfortable. We saw all kinds of fish, sharks, octopus, turtles, mantra rays and even dolphins swimming next to our boat. Very much recommend this trip

Expect to have the time of your life on this liveaboard
An unforgettable experience which I would do again in a heartbeat. Don't be put off by the common sleeping quarters. The upper deck has more than ample space for the number of guests onboard. When they set up the mattresses and bedding at night, I guarantee that you will have as good a quality of sleep, if not better, than if you were sleeping inside a cabin. You will be well fed (if not overfed). The ship crew, consisting of a cook, his assistant, a boat engineer/carpenter, a master of navigation, a tender boat operator and a bosun, are all cool people and do their utmost to give you the best experience possible. As for the main reason for going on a liveaboard, the diving is some of the most spectacular you will ever do. Ikan Biru will cover all of the top dive sites in the national park's north and central regions over the 4 days. The dive guides are open to specific requests if within their means...while it wasn't on the original trip plan, I made the request at the beginning of the tour to dive at Tatawa Kecil and the request was granted the following day. An entertaining dynamic between the duo of French and British dive guides, but clearly a good working partnership between two people who take their jobs seriously. Their in-depth knowledge of the local tidal conditions means you will reach dive sites at the best times and when sea conditions are most favourable, and in most cases when nobody else is there! One of the trip's memorable moments came while filling in my logbook in the kitchen quarters at night, listening to the two guides seated next to me planning the itinerary for the following day, and hearing them discuss tides and currents as if it were science.

Honestly, it was one of the most incredible trips I've ever done in my life. Harold (diving instructor) was fantastic, the crew worked so hard to ensure our trip was smooth, and the views were breathtaking. Diving on this trip is hard, so keep that in mind, but if you are up for the challenge, it is WELL worth it. I will definitely be coming back! 100/10.
