Highlights
The Ikan Biru can house up to 8 guests. The boat has two guest bathrooms with hot freshwater showers below deck. The onboard chef serves freshly baked bread every morning, which he makes in the fully stocked kitchen. Upon request, the Ikan Biru can cater to specific dietary requests. The spacious upper deck is the perfect place to relax between dives in the daytime. In the evening, it is set up as a comfortable dining area. At night, the comfortable mattresses and bedding make it the perfect spot for guests to keep cool while sleeping under the stars, dreaming of all the incredible wildlife they’ve seen.
Thanks to its one-of-a-kind “hop-on, hop-off” concept, you can board the Ikan Biru for 3-12 nights, allowing you to explore the region as you see fit. Two dayboats are ready to take you to land when you wish to disembark. The Ikan Biru only accepts Advanced Open Water divers, or you can get your AOW certification and other diving courses on board. While aboard the Ikan Biru, you can dive three times a day, sometimes more. This lets you visit the best sites, such as Manta Point and The Cauldron.

You can survive without a cabin for 3 nights
I was a bit dubious about not having a cabin but it works quite well for a trip of this duration. The upstairs area is a large living area between 8 people during the day and at night it becomes the bedroom. Because there are no cabins, the generator goes off at 10pm and it's actually so peaceful and quiet on the water with the generator off. I would highly recommend the Ikan Biru to solo travellers and families alike.

Ikan Biru is run by people who care about diving, and truly delivers the best of Komodo.
I couldn't recommend Ikan Biru highly enough. I booked the 4D3N 'Best of Komodo' with a few friends and enjoyed everything about the trip. AK was so engaging and had such detailed knowledge about every aspect of the dive sites. Her comprehensive dive briefings prepared us for the dynamic currents and conditions, topography, and sights to keep an eye out for. Harun was an attentive and approachable guide with a great sense of humour. He kept things calm and controlled throughout every dive, communicated effectively underwater, and gave practical recommendations to improve our gear setup and comfort on the dives. Jos consistently prepared diverse and delicious food which we always looked forward to. The top-deck common area a spacious place to relax and swap stories with friends we made on the boat, and we enjoyed the comfort and ambience of sleeping outdoors in the cool breeze.

Best liveaboard in the Komodo area !
This was honestly the best thing I did in my whole 3 month around SeA. AK was the most amazing guide and always prioritised safety on every dive. The food was exceptional and the crew were so lovely and welcoming.

Wonderful!
The experience on Ikan Biru was wonderful. Amazing crew and diving was beautiful. Unfortunately, we couldn’t go to some of the desired dive sites due to heavy wind conditions but everyone was always aware of our needs and wishes and adapted the plan accordingly. Sleeping on deck was amazing! Thanks to our dive guides AK and Diho!

I loved our crew, they took such good care of us and made the perfect team. Komodo national park is stunning, so beautiful. The activities were perfectly balanced, active but also time to chill and enjoy. Such a great atmosphere on the boat, I loved every second of it.

Literally the best thing I've ever paid for in my life!!
My trip on the Ikan Biru was unlike anything I've ever done in my life. The experience is so unique and chill, its so comfortable and we all felt like family. I loved sleeping on the top deck under the stars and feeling the gentle breeze - I never want to sleep in a cabin again! Diving in Komodo was absolutely mindblowing, the guides were knowledgable and incredibly safe, we saw so many mantas, octopus, sharks, large pelagics and even dolphins! I love that they incorporated a variety of drift dives from gentle to raging!! Plus extra points for the incredible food of course!

Experience Incroyable
The organization (of the equipment in Labuan Bajo on our return) is well established. We found the crew very professional and very smiling. We are delighted with the services offered on the boat. The food is excellent, varied. The dive instructors (Sigfrid and Joe) are very professional and the sites chosen are exceptional. Overall, we are very happy with our stay on Ikan Biru.
